The line was fast moving and I ordered the vegan gelato of strawberry and a scoop of lemon / ginger. The strawberry was very strong and bold. I know they are in season currently. The lemon and ginger was refreshing and again, very bold. Both scoops were very sweet, sour and a bit tart as one would expect. Parallelo is a good option to try for a scoop of gelato in Barcelona. The gelato was good but the flavor was not remarkable, perhaps due to the vegan options. I would definitely return but avoid the vegan option.

All of them were absolutely scrumptious and left me wanting more after I finished my cup! The 4.9 rating on Yelp is definitely well deserved. The business is located on one of the small narrow streets on the edge of the Gothic quarter. It's definitely a place you will need to be purposely searching for as this business does not jump out at you until you are right on top of it. As it is a narrow business with limited seating, it will be hit or miss if you get an inside table as most of the sales that were happening while I was there was takeout. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for sit down dining. Overall, I rarely have had ice cream this good and if you are a fan of well-made ice cream then this is a business you should definitely check out if you are in the Gothic quarter.

They have a large range of flavors, ranging from super creamy chocolate to light fresh fruit options. We got the Baci Perugina (hazelnut), tiramisu and cheesecake. The cheesecake was our favorite!
