We tried for more than a year to get someone to just come to the house, but Eric came within a week of our inquiry. We were opening up our first floor by taking out a wall, putting in new flooring throughout the first and second floors, installing ceiling lights, and revamping our curved staircase, which we found out was a fairly involved project. The team did an incredible job! We got estimates and had a number of meetings with him and his team before anything began. We received digital drawings of what our home would look like and they worked with us until they got everything just the way we envisioned them. The best part was the final finished product was exactly as we saw it in the renderings. We had a strict budget and Eric worked with us to stay within it, the work was done well and to our satisfaction. Our home is now more enjoyable as well as functional. Our experience with Stone & Grain Design group was superb. It's a relief to find a team that is not just talented, but also very pleasant. We are likely to have them do more for us in the very near future!

The issue is that far too much of the furniture looks like it came out of local hotels. Gaudy, Mediterranean style. The demographic they seem to be aiming at is 70 years old and above. I'm 63 and their inventory still reminds me of a trip to grandma's house or the lobby of an assisted living facility. There is nothing remotely modern, tasteful or stylish. I'm sure their buyers know their customer's tastes, but their customer base has to be dying off or aging to a point where they have little need for new furniture. I think Chez Del would be wise to update the styles they offer. In fairness, the staff is professional and friendly but I don't envy them having to move this stuff.

Just had to share how much I am in love with the furniture I've purchased from Chez Del in Akron,…read moreOhio! Over the past two years, I've purchased a few fill in pieces for my bedroom, breakfast room, and even an entire living room of furniture at Chez Del's popular summer warehouse event. I've always known exactly what I wanted, having an interior design background myselfl, and been able to make decisions easily. However, it was the purchase of my family room furniture that had me baffeled for the first time. I just couldn't narrow my ideas and decide on the right style and layout. With the help of designer Becky Harrell, my furniture was delivered this week and I am thrilled. Becky worked with me over a year and a half. She was gracious to quote multiple pieces, let me check out umteen samples of fabric and finishes, and never made me feel as undesisive as I knew I was being. She knew I wanted quality and I wanted a great price and so steared me to take advantage of the Chez Del fall upholstery sale. Becky came to the house and measured the room to put it into their design software and show me exactly how the furniture would sit in the room. We thought through all the fabrics and finishes and ultimately decided on a look that fit me, my family and our personality. With tons of family showing up for Christmas, the Chez Del team kept a last minute delivery slot open for me, followed up with manufacturers, and made sure we had furniture for our company. The delivery guys (Keith and Joe) are top notch. I'm a little picky and they took extreme care to cover my floors and carefully placed the furniture; often making slight adjustments to my liking. At installation, Becky informed me that the manufacturer of my sofas had left off a decorative feature I had ordered. Chez Del hired their furniture upholstery person to add the decorative features and handled the issue before I even knew about it. It was done perfectly and without my having to stress about it. That is excellent customer service! Bottom line, the furniture business is a tough one these days as manufacturing has changed a great deal. It's not unusual for the retailer to have to answer to quality issues, delays in shipping expectations, and a whole array of customer satisfaction issues. And, retailers are doing all this at lower margins and more online competetors than ever. Chez Del, their personal touch and expertise, is a gem in this fast changing marketplace. I'll continue to support them and the personal experience!

I went in to the store during a sidewalk sale event in Hudson in July of 2014. It was a Sunday…read moreduring lunch hour. I was drawn by the unique furniture displayed outside the store(mostly items usually seen on other discounted famous websites). When I walked in, there were 2 sales ladies extremely busy among and only among themselves so that they didn't even recognize me or my two daughters. There was nobody else in the store and the store is tiny. Even after awhile of looking around, they didn't even bother to say "hello may I help you". They didn't say a word. SNOB ALERT. I think the snob alert equated with the inflated price of the items they had in the store. They had a reclaimed wood dining table on sale for 2800.00, which I could have gone to Arhaus for a lot less even when not on sale. I just recently got an email flyer from Arhaus and theirs was around 1000.00 on sale(regular price was around 1500.00). They had some other single chairs that mimicked 70's velvet style fabric and was on sale for around 480.00. I later looked online at one of my favorite online stores and it was around 150.00. Needless to say, I will not be going back to purchase anything. If I did go back, it would probably be just to see how the products looked in real life that I saw online. However, having said that, if you like paying way over a product's value just so you could say you bought it at this store, then you should. Otherwise, shop around online or any other reputable stores and save your money for your children's education or anything else, and do not support inflated snobbery.

However, I found the new owner arrogant and not helpful at all. She would not allow fabric samples to be checked out for more than 24 hours, even if you were willing to place a sizable deposit.
