This was a significant, complex project and they delivered a result that is truly our dream come true -- and due to changes in my schedule, they adjusted to accommodate and finish an entire month ahead of schedule. Donna was an absolute force as our project manager. Her attention to detail was exceptional -- nothing escaped her eye. She kept the project moving, stayed ahead of every milestone, addressed our every need before we ask, and consistently went above and beyond what we could have expected. She is professional and exceptional in all details of the project, making sure options were presented and detailed correctly. Aretha, our designer, listened and understood our vision. She assisted with our selection process which then made the vision come to life in ways that exceeded our imagination. And Tony -- as the owner of the company, remained personally involved throughout the entire process. That level of commitment from the top says everything about the culture and character of the Perrino organization. Beyond their professionalism, these are just wonderful people -- warm, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in their clients. And the craftsmanship? Among the finest we have ever seen -- their tradesmen are simply superior in skill and execution, and it shows in every detail of the finished product. Every accolade we could offer still falls short of the full picture of how remarkable Perrino Custom Builders was in every stage of the remodel. Whether your project is large or small, do not hesitate to reach out -- you will be absolutely blown away by what they deliver.

We contacted Perrino in 2021 about reworking our detached garage space. It required a $2500…read moreretainer that would be put towards the build of the project. We went back and forth several times (as seen in attached emails) that the drawing measurements were not correct and our contact there agreed. While still not having correct dimensions, we were quoted $123,00+. We decided to pause to save money and work to getting the correct measurements. I contacted them in September to see if we can finalize the plans and move forward. Knowing pricing would have changed but we have saved to do this job. As you can see in the emails, we were offered a few options to move forward; one of which is paying another $2500 to the same company which didn't make sense to us. We asked to speak to an owner and Pat did reach out immediately. He clearly doesn't know the job or the situation as he said in asking to move house walls and we need new plans. I said it was detached and we never had correct plans drawn. He said they supplied plans and it's not his fault I'm unhappy and that picky. When I said we are just off by a few feet with this building he offered to come out. He asked for our address and then said we are far out and they are very busy so he wasn't sure he would continue with us as a client. I said you took our retainer and now you won't work with us? He said he would come out and see and I asked if I needed our lawyer present since he is refusing to work with us. He told me he will not come if a lawyer is present and I said ok, just us and he hung up. I sent an email recap and he finally emailed my husband. After $2500,we don't have plans for a garage after several basic attempts and a company that took our money no problem.

We tried for more than a year to get someone to just come to the house, but Eric came within a week of our inquiry. We were opening up our first floor by taking out a wall, putting in new flooring throughout the first and second floors, installing ceiling lights, and revamping our curved staircase, which we found out was a fairly involved project. The team did an incredible job! We got estimates and had a number of meetings with him and his team before anything began. We received digital drawings of what our home would look like and they worked with us until they got everything just the way we envisioned them. The best part was the final finished product was exactly as we saw it in the renderings. We had a strict budget and Eric worked with us to stay within it, the work was done well and to our satisfaction. Our home is now more enjoyable as well as functional. Our experience with Stone & Grain Design group was superb. It's a relief to find a team that is not just talented, but also very pleasant. They worked with us to develop our plan, make our choices, and follow an explicit schedule to the date and time indicated. We were very impressed with all levels of professionalism. Every person who entered our home treated it and us with respect. They left areas clean & tidy and wore shoe covers when walking through areas needing to be worked in. They undertook a comprehensive renovation, completely transforming three major areas of our home. Thanks to their expertise, we now enjoy a new laundry room, two stunning bathrooms, and a bedroom with walkout access. Our home has been truly transformed, and we couldn't be happier. Fast-forward five years, and we had some plumbing issues. Devastated and worried, we called Anthony. They stand by their product! Within 30 minutes, they had someone fix everything at our home (even though we no longer had our warranty). I didn't know companies and people like this existed anymore. We are beyond grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and beautiful work that Anthony and his company have provided us.

My husband and I are planning to remodel our en suite bathroom. Slabaugh was the first company I…read morecontacted because I live nearby, and I had been following their work on Facebook. Although I was concerned that much of their work, though seemingly well done, was all very similar and somewhat generic (all gray and white), I know that's trendy now, and I figured I'd seek some reassurance that individual (and more creative) tastes could be accommodated. I spoke to the project manager who was responsive enough ... at first. He asked what I was looking for in a contractor and explained the process from design to installation. Everything sounded exactly like what we were looking for. And then ... I asked what the average cost for an en suite bath was. I had already done my research, which revealed that the average cost ranges from $18,000 to $25,000 (according to HomeAdvisor). Because of supply issues, I expected Slabaugh's answer to be a bit higher, but I certainly did not expect the project manager to quote a cost double that! He told me that I could expect to pay just under $60,000! I should also note that this estimate was provided without actually seeing the space. When I expressed surprise by this number, I was NOT provided with any explanation. I wasn't told that supply chain issues had increased the cost by 100% or that they used only top tier materials. There was no explanation about paying subcontractors or difficulty in finding qualified workers. Instead, I could almost hear the shrug over the phone as the project manager said, "Maybe we're not the right fit for you," a comment I found dismissive and condescending." Even so, I suggested that maybe my husband and I could stop by the showroom. I was thinking that perhaps I could get a more satisfactory explanation in person. That's when I found out that's it's only open four days a week until 5 and not at all on weekends. As someone who has a job, I explained that those times didn't work with my schedule. "People work," I said. "What do they do?" He silently shrugged again. "They take the time off." So, if you're looking to spend $20,000 more than you have to, if you want want to be dismissed and condescended to, if you want to adjust your schedule to the company you're hiring, then this might be the company for you. I, on the other hand, found a much more pleasant company with which to work, whose quote (after seeing the space) has come in at between $30,000 and $40,000. The company is still very local and has an amazing showroom. So far, they've been easy to work with and they treat me like I actually matter.
