This is the cutest flower shop ever. We live close by and I have been meaning for a while to go in there with my man. In November we went to an 80s prom party and the day of the party my man went there and asked if the had any corsages. He actually went somewhat close to closing time, about an hour and a half. She asked him to come back before they closed to pick it up. Without him even asking her she told him when he picked them up that she made them with an 80s style. So we went two weekends ago because I wanted to adopt more succulent children....and hopefully keep them alive. I picked a mother of pearl succulent, banana succulent, and some other tiny succulent baby. The two girls that helped me were very sweet when I asked about how often to water them and how not to kill them. I definitely don't have a green thumb but they gave us positive encouragement that we could be great plant parents. The inside of the shop is much bigger than I expected. They also sell coffee and some other lighter meals that I'm excited to try next time. If I need to buy a gift for a plant person I will come here because they have some beautiful pre-planted succulents. Not only do they sell plants but they have other pretty gifts or and the displays are great ideas for home decor. We will for sure keep coming back for more plant babies and gifts. read more

If customization isn't your thing they also have premade arrangements. They have a variety of flower available inside and outside including sunflowers, roses, carnations and peonies (my favorite)! I'm in love with the florist/patio area here. We have 3 birthdays to celebrate and placed our trust in Devynn to come through with a beautiful floral vase arrangement x 3 and they sure came through. Also delivery was an option for nearby Seal Beach Westminster Long Beach Huntington Beach. The flowers in the store look fresh even those not in refrigeration! The assortment of bright beautiful colors stood out that they thoughtfully select flowers to stock not randomness. They also have such a vast selection succulents in store and in patio section which I originally thought was for display or decoration but in fact all were available for sell. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The listen to what you need and make sure the order was fulfilled in a timely manner. I'm not much of a flower arrangement kind of gal (receiving) I would rather receive a succulent as gift which I know will require lil attention to survive. BEYOND disappointed w HODGE PODGE, does not look designer at all. Been going to Devynn's both in Sunset & Seal for decades (the owner Cindy & my kids went to school together on the Hill). My CA best friend of 42 years it is his bday and is having open heart surgery today. I now live in AZ; I trusted Devynn's so I called and ordered an arrangement for my friend flowers that would last & not be a mess for him nor the hospital staff. Sadly, due to my friend being in post-op, hospital ICU refused the flowers. Since I am in AZ I could not go and pick up the $140 arrangement so my 75 y.o. family friend picked up the arrangement from Devynn's v being placed in the garbage. My 75 y.o friend then drove to Downey where she lives & texted my a pic saying thank you! The pic showed to my astonishment one of the most HODGE PODGE arrangements ever (roses, haleconia, Gerbera daisy, ginger, another flower I do not know and delphinium!). Who on Earth would send delphinium that "sheds" numerous petals (a) and specifically I asked for (b) no mess for my friend. To me someone ran the bouquet "through the garden" of whatever hodge podge leftovers and bloomed-out least amount of shelf life flowers were in stock w Devynn's thinking sender would never see the arrangement. I will NEVER shop nor support Cindy ever again. I spoke w Dean and I told Dean I would incur the $40 delivery charge not anyone's fault hospital denied the arrangement (on Monday hospital said flowers were ok, changed their mind). Cindy did credit my card $50 but it is the principle. I am embarrassed that arrangement represented me. Everything eventually comes to light. Yes, we all have bigger problems in life but this is a business principle. Have some pride in your work Cindy and stand by your product. read more

As a continuation of little surprises for my homesick baby sister down at Cal State Long Beach, I decided to send her a cute bouquet of flowers to make her smile. Called up Devynn's Garden at around 11:30am, and spoke to a very kind and helpful gal. I simply told her what kind of look I was going for..."Colorful pastels with an innocent feel in a short vase." I requested the flower arrangement to be delivered by 2:00pm, and at 2:15pm, I received a very cheerful phone call from my sis telling me how beautiful the flowers were. The arrangement was sophisticated yet sweet and in a cute little square vase. I couldn't be happier with the flowers, but I am wondering why the tulips are sticking out so much at the top, as opposed to being all the same height as the rest of the flowers. 50 Bucks got me a beautiful arrangement, and price included the delivery fee to her apartment complex. So I've been meaning to come here for years because the outside looks so inviting and has a "mystical magical" feel to it. I'm glad I finally did. This place is amazing! Not only do they have plants and flowers but they also have a little juice bar and outdoor seating!! I can totally see newly couples having their first date here, it's THAT amazing. I wanted to get my wife some sort of beautiful arrangement for her bday but I didn't want the traditional roses so they suggested this awesome plant and flower arrangement and it was perfect! I wish I had a picture but trust me....it was absolutely perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and they have sooooo much to choose from, it was amazing. I first used Devynns for a bridal shower because I needed someone local. I loyally use them everytime now. I have never been disappointed. Their arrangements are beautiful and unusual. For instance, your arrangement might have a lime or a lemon in it. Never will you see baby's breath. I hate baby's breath. I used them for my wedding. I got in contact with them only 2 weeks before my wedding. I planned most of it via email. My flowers came out beautiful. It was the most beautiful set of wedding flowers ever. Ive been going to Devynns Garden in Seal Beach for 8 years and they always been my go to flower shop because of the quality and the points I score with my wife when I come home with a bouquet from them. The quality is always top notch and the arrangements are typically well put together. This last time though left my wife just chuckling when I brought it home. It was Christmas Eve so employee's won't put a bouquet together for you, however you can select the flowers you're interested in and they can arrange them for you. This is the mess I left with. This is the 2nd time I've left recently and the arrangement was terrible but this takes the cake. I've learned from my mistakes. I'll no longer buy flowers from them on a holiday. I'll just buy them the day before or after the holiday so I can at least get some customer service. Luckily my wife was able to break them up into 2 arrangements and they ended up looking great. **Also for Devyns, if it's Christmas and you're only offering pre-made bouqets why would none of the pre-made bouquets be Christmas themed?
