My sister Kennedy and I had two small senior dogs, both very close in age, I believe 10years old. We had an all white Maltese (Roxi) and a black and white Shih Tzu (Moomoo) They were initially our Mothers dogs. Sadly we lost my Mother in 2013 to pancreatic cancer. (She was 46) Once our Mother had passed, my sister and I took ownership of them and have loved and cared for them ever since. It was the hardest decision me and my sister both had to make. We weren't ready to let them go. They were our baby girls!! But both of us knew it was time. It was time to bite the bullet. While searching for a Pet Crematorium, I came across Devoted Pets Cremation and Memorials on Google. The shop was close to home, and it had several fantastic reviews. I was instantly sold by reading the reviews. I got in touch with Britt a few weeks prior to our dogs passing, to gather information. I wanted both of our girls cremated together and in one urn. I asked about pricing, how the process works, what to expect and any other additional questions I had. Britt answered all my questions. She is very knowledgeable and informative as well as sweet and patient over the phone. I was holding back so many emotions during the call, trying to keep my composure. This was my first time doing something like this. I've never been in this position before. Britt was able to provide some relief for us and walk us through the entire process. On Wednesday August 19th, 2020 our Shih Tzu Moomoo passed away in our home with us by my sisters side. Shortly after, we had taken her sister Roxi (The Maltese) to the Vet for a scheduled Euthanasia that same day. Both dogs were very old, sick, and had severe health problems. Once we left our Vet, I had called and spoke with Britt to let her know we were on the way. We brought them to Devoted Pets Creamation and Memorials. Upon arriving, Britt greeted us outside and held the door open for us. I brought my sister, and my sisters childhood bestfriend with us for emotional support. We sat down and browsed the urn selection they have on display in their office. My heart sank into my stomach because I had came across the EXACT same urn my mother is in. (We had our Mother cremated) Im talking about the same exact urn my mother is in. What a coincidence! It was almost meant to be!! Both my sister and I were sold. Britt then walked us through everything. We wanted a pet mold, with both of their paw prints on the same mold. The mold is beautifully done, theres also a small hole in the mold so we are able to tie ribbon/string around it and hang on our Christmas Tree. We also had the urn engraved too. Britt was able to take some hair clippings of their fur as keepsakes. The clippings are placed in a small sealed clear bag. Once everything was finalized we said our final goodbyes to our pups and headed back home. Fast forward to Monday August 31st 2020. With all the Covid-19 and Hurricane season going on, I expected a delay due to everything that has been going on in the world. It didn't bother us at all. We are very patient and understanding people. We knew they are in good hands. I cannot put into words how happy me and my sister are to have them back home with us! I met with Britt and she greeted me with a nice bag of all the contents we had arranged. Britt pulled everything out to show me. I was pretty much speechless because everything was beautifully done and packaged nicely! I just kept thanking her for everything. I really recommend Devoted Pet Creamations and Memorials.
