The photographer we hired from Selah, Jackie, gets well beyond that stuff and manages to capture some essence of what's important, unique, and timeless in the situation. So why listen to me? I specifically wanted a photographer who wasn't afraid to get a dramatic shot, and I also wanted an urban theme. After much googling, searching, and researching photographers, I found Jewels. I reached out to her and she was very responsive and we were able to do our shoot. The pictures turned out absolutely incredible, even BETTER than I could have even imagined. Meeting Jewels is like seeing your best friend from high-school after 10 years. It's like you've always known her, and she makes you feel a level of comfort and familiarity that is not common in a lot of photography settings. I was able to give my own input and direction of what I wanted to accomplish, and she took that and then made it even better. Because of this, we decided to use Jewels for our destination wedding in Mexico, instead of the resort supplied photographer. We just didn't want to take any chances of not having the perfect pictures of one of the most important days of our lives. Having Jewels and her assistant at the wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made for our special day. She captured pictures from our rehearsal dinner, the whole wedding day (which was probably rough due to the heat and humidity, but they were troopers), and even a styled shoot the day after the wedding. Jewels was even able to do the hair and makeup for some of my bridesmaids and the mothers. It didn't even take very long after the wedding to be able to view all the pictures! They came out stunning, and we just wanted to frame every single one of them! If you're looking for a photographer to shoot your wedding, I highly recommend Tim. We spent several weeks looking through wedding photographers and very carefully considering who we wanted to work with, and I'm so glad we went with Tim - he more than exceeded what we were looking for. Tim shot our wedding in Lakewood Colorado - we chose to work with Tim because we loved how honestly he captures the different personalities of his subjects. Finding a wedding photographer was challenging because a lot of the dedicated "wedding photographers" have a singular style, and frankly they seem overpriced, with a lot of tack-on / add-ons to build an up-sell model. And then there are more "budget-friendly" photographers where you just don't feel confident that you're going to get great shots. A lot of the "firms" or teams of people will also have surprisingly long turn around times, but we got a great collection of "sneak peeks" immediately after our wedding and a full set of ~600 photos in under a week - I've been involved in a few larger photoshoots and this is a VERY FAST turnaround. With Tim we had the best of both worlds - he charges a fair price and the shots are AMAZING. It was a surreal experience to go back and see just how happy we look, and this is in large thanks to Tim's great photography.
