This is at the far end (area 6 near Bass Pro Shop) of Sugarloaf Mills. They have a good selection of popcorn as well as sizes. The clerk was very friendly, offered a sample and filled my bag to the brim (it wouldn't even zip closed without me taking a few nibbles. I got the It was fresh and tasty and a great treat. The only reason I'm giving this one star is because I can't give it minus one star! When a friend and myself 1st started patronizing this place we liked it because the popcorn flavors are amazing! A little on the pricey side but if it's good the its worth it! Then the last time we shopped there we got a bad batch! Someone had contaminated the mixed by mixing the last of a flavor that had nuts in it with a flavor that didnt! Now I'm not sure which one was stale but I've eaten enough popcorn to know the difference between fresh and stale popcorn! But because this location is closed on the days that we frequent the AMC theatres in this mall, it was difficult to reconnect with the gentleman that work there! Today we were lucky enough to catch him! So we walk up to him and explain to him that the popcorn that we purchased was had nuts in it and the popcorn itself was stale! Immediately the same gentleman became Belligerent and accused us of insulting him! He told us that he doesn't sale stale products and that we were lying to him about our experience with his popcorn! I explained to him that anything was possible and we just wanted to let him know that the product that we purchased was not fresh and contaminated with nuts! He became even more ballistic! He then told his that he had planned on making good on the popcorn that we purchased but he didn't appreciated that we said the popcorn was stale! Than when some people of non-color walked up behind us he really became undone and started yelling and screaming at us like we had stolen something! I told him because of his customer service, the way he was yelling and screaming at us that we didn't want the popcorn and also that he just lost two valuable customers! He then started screaming for us to get away from the counter, that he didn't want us to come back and even went as far as yelling for security to come and get us! I walked away and explained to the security guard that came over that we were just trying to explain to him about an experience that we had with some popcorn that we purchased on a pervious visit and the guy went ballistic! So my advice is shop here if you dare! The place lack customer service and is a bit on the racist side! read more

Devon's delectable gourmet popcorn - and the lovely owners - are the bit of sunshine in an otherwise dismal North Dekalb Mall. Try as many samples as you'd like: caramel, double caramel, cheddar, white cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, banana, and the addicting Atlanta mix - cheddar cheese popcorn layered in caramel. There is also a bright green sour apple flavor and blue-purple berry flavor. Prices are reasonable, and the popcorn is just delicious. While walking by the AMC theatre, I had this yearning for munching on my popcorn while watching a movie. Sadly, nothing great was playing. I was addicted to Garret's in Chicago and to Dale and Thomas in NY. Devon's has rekindled my desire for popcorn. Yummy! read more

I personally met the owners in HAWAII. They were SO very kind and wonderful people. Living out here on a tiny island we don't have a lot of specialty foods especially with so much different varieties!! I got my hands on some Devon's popcorn and could not believe how amazing it taste! The Atlanta mix was hands down my favorite but to be honest they all were so amazing! This would make such a wonderful gift for anyone! They deliver!! Even all the way out to HAWAII!! The package came in a beautiful tin can and was sealed very tightly so when I finally got to eat it, tasted like it was just made.. so fricken fresh! I've never really been a popcorn fan myself but my mother is. So we checked this place out and did a yelp/takeout order. As someone who doesn't love popcorn, I have to say they were amazing. I got a small bag of cookies and cream and a small bag of spicy caramel and it was delicious. My mom got a large back of the ATL mix and hot and spicy and she raved about it. Their customer service is great. We got a call about the delay in the spicy caramel because they aren't doing 100% during COVID but they did make a batch for me. The guy that was at the counter when I went to pick up was polite and quick. I'll be going back again because I think they've converted me into a popcorn fan. read more

I am so glad I discovered this locally owned gourmet popcorn shop. I discovered them the first week of the month when headed to a movie and have been back two more times since for myself and a gift for a friend. The popcorn is very good, the service is good, and the pricing is very reasonable. Just park in front of the food court and go straight in for fast service. Or, better yet, go to the mall and have some popcorn while you shop. This is a positive addition to a rather unexciting mall. Bottom Line: Great Gourmet Popcorn. Great Friendly Service. read more

Coming from Chicago, my favorite popcorn hands down, has been Garretts since the 1970's. I moved away from Chicago in the mid 1980's but would go back for visits and always stocked up on Garretts before my return trip back home. In all the years I've been away from Chicago I never found popcorn that matched Garretts flavor, taste, consistency until I tried Devon's when I went to see the Incredibles 2 movie last week. After tasting my all time favorite combo, cheddar cheese and caramel, I was completely sold. It tasted so good and didn't have that left over popcorn residual that you usually spit into a napkin. I am a total fan of Devon's now and will drive all the way from Gwinnett County to get some. I wish there was a location closer to me. I love it!!! read more

Devon's is a great combo of great popcorn and better customer service. The husband and wife duo really have made me a loyal customer. So much so that I've told my family about them and I've taken a few friends there after doing Zumba (I know it's not the healthiest snack but it's too good to resist). They are always happy to give you samples, which make it hard to decide what to get. The hot & spicy is my favorite so far. I have visit this establishment over a hands full of times and have always been satisfied with the service until today. when I went to order my popcorn I noticed that devon's brother did not have on a mask. When I asked if he would put one on he told me no, he doesn't have to wear one and that he was vaccinated. I explained that I was not and would like for him to wear a mask. During this whole exchange he was talking over my popcorn that I was purchasing. He never put on the mask that was hanging from his arm. To support a black owned business I purchased all most 40 dollars worth of product that I will not be eating. I fully understand that if you feel like you don't have to wear a mask because your vaccinated but if a customer asked you to wear one because you're handling there food you should be kind enough to do that. This will be my last visit to the sugarmills location. Very disappointing. read more

Devon's is the perfect snack before a movie, while attending an event or doing regular mall shopping, and the fresh batches of exciting flavors keep me coming back. Double caramel is my favorite but the sour apple, like many of their unique flavors, was surprisingly tasty. The service is always great and happy. The North DeKalb Mall location made me wonder about getting in and out quickly when the munchies are calling, but it's easy to park up close at the Food Court entrance, run in and be back out the door with yummy popcorn in minutes. Yum, Yum!! I was pleasantly surprised on the flavor of this popcorn. Atlanta has a few popcorn places and this one truly tantalized my taste buds. For people who know Garretts popcorn you can appreciate a good caramel cheese mix. While not as addictive as there version it was a good competitor anyways. The owners were superbly nice which bumps up the experience and they have a variety of flavors to choose from unlike Garretts. I highly recommend this place, I got the cookies and cream, hot cheese and caramel favors. All three were delish but the hot cheese was the best to me. Now for those of you looking for the Chicago mix, it ain't here. Instead it's the Atlanta mix which also combines caramel and cheese with a kick! Please go and support the business because they are awesome!!! I will stop by there on my way home for the holidays. read more
