I'm an ice cream and Italian ice connoisseur. Love it and scout out places every area and country…read moreI'm in. Visited here twice now when I was in the area and have been meaning to leave a review. First let me start off by saying customer service is EXCELLENT from the group of young people working here. Both times I was greeted right away and it continued with friendly engaging service with them explaining some of the cool unique Italian ice flavors offered. They also kindly offered samples. First time was a young black girl and she told me about their free rewards program. This was a Hispanic looking girl. Both super sweet and friendly. This place reminds me of a larger version of Rita's which I love and miss. None nearby. But they also offer GREAT and flavorful selections of ice cream too. Thankfully it wasn't very busy. I came in for Italian ice but ended leaving with both because I couldn't decided and I don't live close. Prices are reasonable too. I got the Caribbean mix and Cherry/Coconut Italian ice with vanilla soft serve. Rum raisin (my favorite) and Bourbon Truffle ice cream. Delish!!!!! Sorry, started eating and forgot to take the picture of my ice cream. Highly recommend you trying Rio's. They have tables and chairs if you want to stay and enjoy. They're located in a somewhat busy shopping plaza with a few other restaurants with ample parking. We NEED a Rio's in the Fayetteville and/or Peachtree area. Please consider!!!

Rio's Italian Ice is such a gem in Conyers. We go regularly enough that we definitely feel like…read moreregulars, and the staff always makes us feel so welcomed. They are kind, friendly, helpful, and genuinely wonderful every time. I am usually an ice cream girl, and their flavors are incredible. I often get the white chocolate truffle raspberry ice cream, which is delicious, but the bourbon truffle ice cream is truly out of this world. It is rich and chocolatey with a caramel swirl and little caramel-filled pieces throughout. It is one of those flavors you keep thinking about after you leave. My partner usually gets one of the Italian ices, and those are excellent too. The flavors are not basic at all. They have a more thoughtful, interesting selection, and you can tell when real ingredients are being used. For example, anything with ginger actually tastes like real ginger in the best way. We are both from up north and can be picky about Italian ice, so the fact that Rio's has become one of our regular spots says a lot. This is usually our after-dinner treat spot, but honestly, it is good for any time you want something sweet. The texture and flavors are always perfect, the portions are generous, and the service is always fast and friendly. Sometimes the portions are even bigger than we can finish, which is not a bad problem to have. They have so much more than just ice cream too. There are full cases of both ice cream and Italian ice, plus treats like funnel cakes with fruit and fried Oreos. The shop is clean, the staff is awesome, and they are always ready to help. Rio's Italian Ice is absolutely worth a visit. It is one of those places that makes you happy to have it nearby.

This is the second location for the shop, whose original location is in Stonecrest. The shop offers a wide variety of flavors, as well as options to fit dietary needs, such as oat milk. The location is not far from 285 and fairly easy to reach. I was greeted warmly by the staff who were eager and willing to answer any questions I had and provide recommendations. Got to meet one of the founders as well so I feel so special lol. There is parking available and even a drive thru! I will definitely be returning and recommend all dessert lovers to do the same.

They even shared some suggestions and offered their best choice. Something to be appreciated in this day and age. I even got a chance to speak with the owner as she was very busy and hard working. They have the absolute best Peach Cobbler and Cookies in this area. I stood in front of the display for the longest trying to decide if I wanted Banana Pudding or Peach Cobbler. The cobbler was calling my name. I also purchased a Banana Pudding Cookie. I didn't even look at the signage because if I did I would have purchased 3 cookies as they are 3 for $10. The cobber is a huge portion size. You quickly realize that when you start eating it. It is enough for two people or 2 servings. The smell of butter, peaches and spices waft from the container like it was taken straight from the baking dish. I cannot thank you enough for not making a Peach Cobbler that was not dry yet not super runny and juicy. The crust was so delicious. The cookie was also top tier. It really did taste like Banana Pudding and it is a soft cookie. You all will definitely see me again. Service was a wonderful experience as well.

HoTT Stanking Mess!!! Incompetence at it's hottest!!…read more Rude young lady took the wrong order and I explained it to her only three times. It was me and another person who only ordered 2 snow cup.. one was strawberry shortcake in the medium size and she upgrades his to large and then downgraded me to 2 smaller size snow cups and split my flavors up. So when I explained to her mine was completely wrong and that I wanted all the flavors in one. The young lady still gave it to me in a small cup then says Ill refund the rest ...which she didn't and lied about it and then the manager Mary lies about reverse the charge for the difference of the snow cone she added. They think people stupid about money when I work to damn hard for this shit over some overpriced flavor syrup over crushed ice. $28.55 was the amount and I received a text from square up when the transaction was originally taken ...but when she so called reversed/ refunded my ( never told me the amount) it went to a different card...I showed her my app and my debit card transaction..to show it was not refunded.. they both lied and made up numbers ending on someone else card...not mine. She never offered a cash refund or no explanation...she was like okay move on.... I suggest don't patron this business....and they don't take cash after all this it's ridiculous to be so ignorant when dealing with electronic transactions and you dont know how to properly refund back to the same card and transaction number...they need to be trained on accounting and customer service!!! I was outside this food truck for at least 20 mins making my point with the idiots not comprehending. I got so hot and frustrated that the ice cone was melted and it was a hot stanking mess!!! So people beware and check your order before walking off from the truck!!!!! It's too hot for disagreements!!
