It's clean inside however as soon as I saw the huge containers of popcorn, I should have known it probably was not popped fresh that day. I got a combo of caramel pecan and jalapeno cheese. Caramel and jalapeno is my favorite flavor combo. I did not like this combo though. Maybe if the popcorn had been fresher I would have liked it more but I ended up throwing away half a bag. The only bright spot was the young lady behind the counter. She was helpful and patient as she waited for me to decide what I wanted. read more

I had been wondering about this place for years. I stopped in on 9/25/23 and I loved the energy of the two ladies working and let me tell you. The popcorn was awesome. I can not stop eating them and I live in Bham, AL. Garrett's is good but they are up there with them and they stay fresher in plastic and not them brown bags Garrett's. Go Popcorn of many flavors!!! read more

Popcorn Depot - What's left and why I am sad. They are so good. - Popcorn Shops Near Me - Douglasville, Georgia

I learned of The Popcorn Depot over 5 years ago. Don't I have some nerve just writing a review? It's been over a year since I've been here. And it's been weighing heavily on my mind that I MUST return! So here i am, Sunday 11/11/19. Wait..so I'm just now posting 2/3/2022... But anyway..no matter how long it took me to post this GO!! I like the cheddar, caramel, or a mix The ranch is great. White cheddar and sour cream/onion flavors are yum! If you like sweet popcorn that have a variety of candied flavors. Great reward program too if you frequent often. read more

Love visiting this place! My son is obsessed with popcorn so we we're excited to have find a place with deals. We refill our container for $15. Our favorite flavor is butter but that Twix and sneaker is great also! read more

Okay their cheese popcorn is the bomb! This place stays busy because the quality of popcorn is awesome! I've been going to 9 years now! The staff is always friendly! read more

The place is fantastic, radiating positivity with excellent attitudes, and the popcorn is simply outstanding!!!

I passed by a couple times and finally decided to give this place a try. I was able to sample a few flavors. LOTS of different flavors, I settled on the cheddar and white cheddar. They had a deal if you bought two mini bags you got a junior free, good deal! On my second visit I stopped in and got a quick mini bag, and received a punch card. I wish I would've got it during my first visit. If you plan on frequenting this place get a punch card, sign up for the deals and the points program. The prices for the size of bag you get is a bit much, but I would visit again. read more

Popcorn Depot - Lots of flavors! - Popcorn Shops Near Me - Douglasville, Georgia

Not bad, but not fresh...being a person who LOVES popcorn I was initially ecstatic when I saw this place. Then I came inside and figured out very quickly that the popcorn is NOT made on site. They make it somewhere else and then bring it to this place to add the different flavors. I gave them 2 stars because you can at least taste before you buy and they have a good number of flavors so that helped to boost my review. read more

They closed a place like this by the Mall of Ga years ago and I have been searching for another popcorn place. We WILL be coming back! They have tubs of popcorn, so many flavors, and you can taste test. My only reserve is I wish there were more savory flavors at this location. Seems like they had a lot of sweet flavors, which is great if you're looking for that! read more

Well. I initially stopped here earlier this week and they had just closed (8PM). I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, as I stood outside taking the Store Front picture. He seemed to be a nice person. He asked me about Yelp and what we Yelpers do. I explained to him that we do not get paid for reviews but we do it because we like to give our honest opionion and that we pick new places to visit based on other Yelpers reviews/opinions that we trust. Now I did NOT buy any popcorn that night so I didn't post a review then. And I have never even been inside, so I can't tell you right now what the different flavors and all of that are. But my roommate was being nice and he brought me a bag last night. I had a White Cheddar and he had a bag of Caramel. I think his had nuts in it, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I thought it was very good. I'll go back so I can tell you how it looks, smells and feels like on the inside. It did look like an upscale popcorn place as I stood outside in the cold looking in. :) UPDATE: So I had a chance to visit just last night 1-10-13. It smells great and looks great, almost has a Salon Feel to the place. There are no seats inside so you will get your popcorn and get the heck out of there. They have 300 Flavors, which apparently will be constantly changing and or evolving. I was told to ignore the menu and just look at the buckets of popcorn because of that fact. They will allow you to sample a few flavors to see if you like them or not. They are currently offering the big tin canisters for $35 with a $25 refill fee and $25 for smaller canisters with refills for $15. To put this in perspective, think about the large tin canisters of popcorn that Rite Aide sells for $6. That would be the $35 canisters. The larger canister MIGHT be a 3 1/2 gallon canister. I guess the good thing about the tin canisters is that you can fill the 3 sections with any flavors that you like. I would get the Snickers, Carmel Pecan and White Cheddar. This time I tried the Ranch mixed with the Parmesan Garlic popcorn. And although my breathe was kicking afterwards, it was delicious! But my mini bag total was $3.16. So this is an indulgence that I will have every once in a while. And I should thank my roommate for the Large $10 bag of White Cheddar that he purchased the night before. THANKS! read more

Great tasting popcorn. Tons of choices! Hilarious, because we always stick to the basics when the kids are not around. Great customer service and I'm glad to see that their business is thriving during this unfortunate pandemic. Support small business, folks. read more

My friends and I went in and had no idea what we were doing. The owner (we're assuming he was the owner) was super nice! He talked to us and gave us samples and gave us a small bag as a gift! Every sample we tried was good, and we went with jalapeño cheddar and butter pecan (his favorite). It was a very positive experience. read more

I live in Carrollton, but i go to Douglasville most weekend to do my shopping and to get my nails done. A friend and I happened to spot this small popcorn store. We both really love popcorn so we went in the check out out. Popcorn WONDERLAND! There had soooo many flavors and allowed us to sample as many as we wanted. I left with the sea salt and dark chocolate. I finished it a week ago and I've been craving ever since! I will definitely be returning when i go to that area! read more

I was never into eating popcorn until I came across this place. Never have come across such a wide assortment of different flavors of popcorn. Everything from plain old cinema popcorn to White chocolate, orange, key lime, Buffalo hot wing, dill pickle, cherry, Snickers, ranch and many more flavors! The service is excellent and very friendly and I can not recommend this store enough. read more

Love Popcorn Depot! But how can you run out of your most popular flavor?! If it's getting low, get started on another batch. I drove here just for that. No "sorry ma'am" no "would you like to try another flavor?" She just stood there looking at me after telling me it would be an hour before Windy City was ready. Customer service makes all the difference. read more

The Popcorn Depot has over 100 flavors of popcorn! They will let you sample the various flavors so that you can make an informed decision. As far as the customer service is concerned, it depends on who waits on you. The staff member who initially waited on us didn't smile, seemed cold, and had no personality. She then passed us off to another staff member who was a lot more pleasant. We decided to get the junior size bag of Cheesy Barbecue popcorn after we had a sample. It was a little on the salty side, but it was good! I look forward to going back and trying the other flavors! read more

I visited Popcorn Depot a few weeks ago for the first time. I tried a few flavors, Salt &Vinegar, Dill Pickle, and White choc/caramel to name a few. I took one bite of each of those and I was friggin hooked!!! The flavor in the kernels was amazing! Everything tasted just like the label said it would...and it was FRESH!! The store smelled liked freshly popped corn, was clean, and the employees were very friendly. Now, Everytime I go near that plaza I stop in for a mini bag. Their mixed flavors such as Windy City (Chicago style cheddar and caramel) or Denver city (white cheddar and caramel) have both flavors on each kernel...THE BOMB!! The prices are ok especially if u want a quick fix. But the bang for ur buck is in the tins. And yes, its better than Popcorn Haven on Camp Creek. :) read more

I love popcorn!! While visiting friends in Alabama we stopped here on our way to Atlanta, what a pleasant surprise!! I love Garrett's in Chicago!!!!!! But I Loved "Windy City" here at Popcorn Depot, in love with "Twix". They allow 3 free tastes, not sure how much they charge for more tries. On our back to Alabama we stopped again to get more. Not cheap, but a must stop for me all future drives to GA. Oh and the girls were very friendly, helpful and patient... After all there are 300 Flavors! read more

I've tried Popcornopolis which is good. Popcorn Haven which is good as well, but I live within 5 minutes of Popcorn Depot and the flavors are off the chain. I have a bad habit of buying the same flavors every time. So I asked to try the Cheddar/Praline the other day. As soon as it hit my pallet, I ordered a bag. 2 days later I went back and ordered a small bucket. That was gone in one day. LOL The cheese is thick on this flavor and I love a LOT of cheese on my popcorn. The chocolate candy bar flavors are completely coated. Make sure you sample as many as is allowed before you buy. All Sales are final. The employees and the manager are all young and hip which makes it cool to be there. It's GOURMET POPCORN folks so stop complaining about the prices. If you go online and order the same thing, you are going to pay out the ying yang on shipping, plus get hit with price gouging. They make all the popcorn on site so they rarely run out of your favorite flavors. I've gone to other places to buy popcorn and they'll say, "that flavor hasn't been delivered yet." Thank goodness I workout 6 days a week because I'd be serious trouble if I didn't. Update: 5/12/2016 I've gone in a few times and my favorite flavor Cheddar Praline was not available or it wasn't enough to fill my order, so I had to mix it with regular cheese flavor. I need to start calling to make sure my Cheddar Praline is available before I drive up there. That's all. I still rate it 5 stars. read more

their windy city is not even close to the one in chicago however, MS D's or whatever that stand in the mall is much better. Most of the popcorn at the depot is too clumpy and heavy and i once had to wait 4 weeks for the baked potato to come back! read more

First time visit was a real tour of the popcorn gourmet world. Never thought I'd see $90 popcorn bags. I got a Tin at the suggestion of the staff member who could clearly see I was old school. Maybe when I go back I will unleash the wilder side and spring for some chocolate & almond cover popcorn! The staff was informative and kind, made me feel like she wanted me to have a experience not just a sale. i did't like the checkout asking for a tip I feel that is not traditional for a sales type position and was pushy. She earned one but don't like to be asked. read more

I stopped by Popcorn Depot on 2/10/19, I want to start off by saying Ally was the worst she didn't greet us when we came in, she had no clue about the BOGO, she act like she didn't want to be there, she didn't sanitize her hands when she came back to help me after checking out a customer, she laid the scoop on the counter, too many people lean on the counter for her to put the scoop on the naked counter. I purchased several bags of the dark chocolate zebra, it taste like caramel it was hardly any dark & white chocolate on it. I can remember years ago when it was the best and the service was awesome! but now its like hmmm. I miss Dee & Sophia. Get more people with Customer service skills! read more

Wonderful place to go to! The smell of popcorn hits you as soon as you open the door, They make the popcorn in store daily. I've passed this place multiple times so finally I stopped in a couple nights ago and the service was wonderful! I was waited on by the manager and this young gentleman. I came in just a couple minutes before they closed and they patiently waited on me and let me try multiple flavors being that it was my first time in! Love the energy those two gave off and very friendly didn't make me feel rushed with being that they were about to close!!! After trying multiple samples it was hard to choose from everything was so good. I ended up going with what they recommended as their favorite one which was "buffalo wings"! I will definitely keep coming back they have gained a customer for life thank you Allie and Eddie!!!!!!! read more
