Nice, clean, lots of room. Wish that it was easier to find someone in the office during open hours. Aside from that, great.

Our…read morefirst move was from an apt to a condo while the second was from our storage unit to the condo. Different crews for both moves but it didn't matter - terrific attention to detail, even cleaning up the sloppy work of the company I previously used. The crew were engaging and offering advice and help, even double-handling some furniture when I couldn't make up my mind. Ouch! They never complained or skipped a beat -- very helpful! There was not a single item or aspect of the condo that was damaged as a result of these crews. They were GREAT! The estimation process was also great. The person (Joe) was actually willing to visit both my apt and storage unit to get a good feel for the job. Other companies wanted to telephone-guesstimate everything and then lowball the bid. The best part? The actual job was a lot cheaper than the estimate. This was due to the quick work of the crews and an approach of "under promise/over-deliver" which is a fantastic way to treat customers. The actual purchase contracts and payments were expertly handled and I was very impressed that the office staff called multiple times to verify that things were going well and to see if anything else was needed. It's this kind of client-service and attention to detail and success that causes me to give Premier a 5 star rating. If only all companies were this good!

I did some research, obtained a few estimates, spoke with previous customers, and settled on Premier. Joe was honest and thorough when working up a load and price estimate. And Lina, well bless Lina's heart, she was available and helpful during each phase of our move. The packers were courteous and respectful - and quick! When it was time to have our belongings shipped down (we had them in storage with Premier in MI as opposed to finding a storage facility and hiring another company to transport from their facility to our new home), all it took was a call to Lina and she set up a delivery window. The delivery was hampered by a huge storm but Lina kept in constant contact to keep us updated. Even with the storm delay, our belongings were delivered within the window. And the crew that unloaded were wonderful. They did everything from prepping the house to removing some of the waste material. Great group of guys, annd if I could remember their names, I would give them a big shout out. Nothing damaged. Not one item. Nada. Hopefully we don't have to move cross country again, but if we do we will definately use Premier.

Then came packing and moving days. Now I would refer to this company as A Pickup and a Couple of Guys. They immediately started to complain about how much they had to pack and how they had to leave at 5 so they weren't sure they could get it done. China was packed using cloth place mats which they had to hunt to find since the china and place mats were in different parts of the house. There was plenty of bubble wrap available. Crystal was thrown in a box with packing paper. Items were moved from one part of the house to another to pack so when we unpacked we were not able to find complete sets of items. Sure enough, when 5 pm came the majority of packers left even though they had not packed any of our bathrooms and had left 4 kitchen cupboards untouched. Fortunately 2 of the other packers were responsible and finished up. The next day, the actual moving day, was a repeat. Complaints about how much stuff we had, they hadn't planned enough trucks, the boxes were too heavy. By 4:00, when we saw them passing a joint around we just wanted them gone. We are not naive but we didn't appreciate their vulgar language. On move in day they were expected between 8-9 AM. We had confirmed that time several times in advance. They did not show up until 1:30 PM. Every time we called to check we were told they were still loading the trucks. We now think they couldn't round up enough workers. Two furniture items were broken so they could not be used, 2 lamps were packed so poorly that the switches no longer worked. Several dishes and glasses were broken. We have taken pictures of all of the damage and submitted them multiple times to Nathan, the manager. He has not responded. No adjustor has come to analyze the broken pieces of furniture so we can get them repaired. We paid extra for breakage insurance so that was a waste of money.

Also rented a one way trailer to haul some home furnishings to Northern Wisconsin as well as renting a smaller trailer to move a washing machine here in town. And, I have purchased moving supplies here. It may not be the lowest price for these supplies, but it is handy having a full range of items in one place. They buy back unused and unopened items. This store also refills propane tanks and has a few storage lockers. Al, the manager is a nice, if overworked guy. I can recommend this U Haul to you.

Every single part of the…read moreprocess went wrong, we were continuously passed along to different people to talk to, and the billing is still being processed wrong. We used the U-Haul's U-boxes to move from Michigan to Florida. To make it easier I will split this horrible process into four different parts. 1. Delivery to our home had been set for a Thursday morning. Multiple family members and friends took work off in order to help us load them. At 11am the boxes had still not arrived and I was assured they would be there before noon. The boxes didn't show up until 4pm after all of our helpers had to return home. No one was answering our calls trying to figure out when the boxes would arrive and the person unloading them had no idea what they were doing. 2. I received a call saying we could not put locks on the boxes because they needed to be inspected. When they arrived to pick the boxes up, three hours late, we were then told we needed locks and we would be charged because they had to provide them. They never mailed our keys to the locks. When they were delivered we had to buy a bolt cutter and break into our own belongings. 3. After having the drop off date set in Florida for months, we were told they could no longer drop them off on that date. This means we would be sleeping on the floor with no furniture, clothing, or kitchen utensils. After talking to multiple different people the date was finally set again. The boxes showed up six hours late. The woman dropping off these boxes was the ONLY person that was nice and kept us updated on what was going on. 4. The entire transaction was completed at the end of June. It is now the end of September and we are STILL being charged EVERY SINGLE MONTH for a storage container we don't have. Every single month we call, get passed around to multiple people, and they eventually return the money. If it happened once, okay I can handle that, but this has been happening for three months in a row and shows no sign of stopping. This experience was horrible. I will NEVER go through U-Haul again.

I was sitting in my car, and less than 2 minutes passed before this employee came up to my window and aggressively went off how I'm not allowed to have my vehicle running. I immediately turned my vehicle off, as I was unaware that that extremely short period of time, that I hadn't yet even gotten out of my car, would be such a significant issue. I do understand and recognize that there are risks for leaving your car running unattended - the garage door has not yet shut and again, very brief period of time. Despite my immediate compliance and agreeing to shut off my car, this employee continued to honestly harass me as to how this was such a major risk and wouldn't even let me get a word in. I had to say "okay" numerous times, and car was turned off, and she kept aggressively bombarding me how "it's not allowed" and unsafe and how "once she closes that garage door, the carbon monoxide will set off the alarm which will take her an hour to shut off." Again, I want to emphasize that I do understand how this could be a risk if enclosed space and continuously running. I've worked in customer service for years, and I know it's a tough field. But I have never felt more disrespected by a store employee than this experience. There was zero reason to be so disrespectful and aggressive with a customer. If I had had the time, I would have went inside and complained then. National Storage, please train your staff on proper etiquette and even conflict management. This was absolutely uncalled for.
