This is a late review from my past experience with Devan Lowe Cadillac GMC from which I purchased a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV Luxury with 8900+ miles on Aug 09, 2017. The reason for my late review is I was activated as a member of the Texas National Guard in order to support the Hurricane Harvey Rescue/Recovery effort. Before I get into this review I will mention that this vehicle was purchased out of state, from Alabama to Texas. The best method to do this is either fly out there and drive the vehicle back yourself, or have it shipped to your address, I chose the latter. I do not believe the shipping company I chose would cause this issue, as they are one of the few auto shipping couriers on Yelp that are in the 4 1/2 - 5 star range (Flat Price Moving & Auto Shipping). Purchasing the vehicle was easy, especially if you already have a vehicle buyers check, and cash to put down. There were no problems closing the deal with FedEx Overnight paperwork, nor communication to get things closed out, as my Wife knew exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately after closure of the sale, that's where things started to fall apart. This vehicle was purchased as a Certified Pre Owned Vehicle from Cadillac Devan Lowe, which needs to go thought a 172 Point inspection to be certified as such. So with that being said, there is no reason way there should be any issues buying CPO. The first issue we came across is a terrible vibration issue that came from 65+mph on up. We took the vehicle to Cavander Cadillac GMC located in San Antonio Texas, and given a loaner to figure out what was wrong. Turns out these vehicles have a hit or miss with the 8 spd transmission, fortunately for me that wasn't the case. After a week with the vehicle it turned out to be the passenger side front tire that couldn't be balanced. It was swapped out and replaced under the MFG Warranty. Still something you shouldn't go through if its a certified pre owned. The next issue, and one I am unfortunately stuck with, is for some reason, the passenger side door has previous paint work done to it. I noticed upon further inspection while washing the car with a car wash mitten and 2 five-gallon buckets, I noticed that the clear coat was peeling from the front passenger side quarter glass, by the rear view mirror. I though "eh not too bad, I'll just take it back to Cavander Cadillac and see if the warranty can fix this too". Nope! I was told that the vehicle was repaired/resprayed, a terrible job was done, and overspray was found on the passenger fender. The Service Manager pointed out all the discrepancies with the repair work and acknowledged that it wouldn't come from the factory like this. Cost of repair? 1800+ dollars because the vehicle had been repaired, and didn't come from the factory like that. I tried to contact the sale's person but seems to have blocked my number, or just flat out ignores my text messages. We are still working around the clock with the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, so this is the only time I was able to make this review. I don't have time to contact GMC, Managers, whoever, and I foster for 3 kids, and have 3 of my own, so we are a very busy family. My recommendation is to be VERY careful if you are making an Out Of State purchase with this dealership, or simply advise against doing so. I cannot speak for the face-to-face experience, but I hope it's not as bad as the lack of communication or false representation of the vehicle I've received. read more

Not sure there are words to describe what Phillip Hayes and the service tech did to help me. To say they went above and beyond to help me get home would be an understatement. I was travels across Alabama to landscape to new jobs. My 2020 Chevy 2500 broke down and wouldn't drive. They figured out the problem and got the part over nighted. I came in late Wednesday 21st they had me back on the road around lunch on the 23rd. I was able to get back to NC to see my family after a long week. I will never forget what they did for me. I know I told you thank you bunches of times while I was there but im going to say it again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. read more

(Disclaimer: I wrote this review on Facebook in January 2020 but I never thought of leaving a Yelp review until now because I hadn't really used Yelp until recently.) I kiddingly told my salesperson Chip Horsley "if you can get me in a new vehicle with comparable amenities without my payments going up, I will buy a car from you!" And lo-and-behold, he made it happen!! I am now the proud owner of a 2019 GMC Acadia with everything I had in my previous vehicle AND MORE!! The thing I missed the most from a previous car was my dual sunroofs, and thanks to Chip, I now have them back! I am loving driving this car! Now, as for the rest of the car buying experience- I cannot say enough good about this process at Devan Lowe! The finance department (both Marty and Greg) were outstanding, there was never any pressure and they explained things better than I have ever experienced before-I truly felt they had my best interest at heart! I didn't feel like just another dollar to them. I got a much better rate than I had before and amazingly my payments stayed the same! They did not try to haggle me to spend more. I felt that everyone I worked with actually listened to my wants, concerns, and my limits and executed on their end to make me happy. I have now had this car for over a year and have been back for service multiple times and have been very pleased each time. They are always friendly and are following Covid-19 protocol very well. I look forward to doing business with this dealership and especially Chip in the very near future for my husband a new truck. read more
