I've been going to Deuce Athletics (DA) since 2019 or so and like the founder told me before I started, "It'll change your life..." Well I'll be damned. It did! Previous to attending DA, I was going to Anytime Fitness and later CrossFit. Both places just didn't land for me. DA has the perfect match of intensive coaching and perfectly tailored strength and conditioning classes that are challenging but won't leave you hurt or unable to walk or more the next day. If you're the average or below average athlete, they'll start you with a crawl, walk then run regimen that's fun and will plus you up in a long term fashion devoid of injury. Their coaches are energetic, thoughtful and very skilled. Each class for me feels like a one on one, but surrounded with fantastic personalities by way of the students who attend class. Classes aside, DA likes to craft a community centered around athletics. We frequently have social outings and gatherings and I've made many of a quality friend that will last for life. I decided to work with deuce athletics (Chris) when I made the choice to get a trainer. I currently live in San Diego but got 1:1 coaching 3x out of the week. Chris sent my workouts to me (every Sunday)on time each week and he helped me get organized with my planning and my eating. He would send me videos on new workouts and allowed plenty of time for me to ask questions. I always felt supported by Chris and he tailored my workouts according to my goals and my work schedule. I would send him videos of my workouts and he always gave me feedback and encouraged me to keep working harder. Before I moved to CA, my gym was my safe haven and I didn't think I'd ever find anything remotely comparable to my old gym. However, I've been proven massively wrong because Deuce runs circles around my old gym. In the past, I've had bulging discs in my lower back, shin splints, pulled muscles and had given up on ever being able to lift again. Chris and Ronnie have not only helped me get back into lifting with modifications that didn't hurt my injuries, they've helped me rehab my injuries to where I am now stronger than I was before I got injured and I feel no pain. The work outs are high quality (even with modifications), they value you on an individual level, they prioritize community so you're not just a number, and they truly care about who you are just as much as helping you achieve your goals. I've never felt more at home than when I'm at Deuce and it is worth every penny. Ronnie and Chris's ability to simultaneously meet you where you are at while also pushing you no matter what level is unlike anywhere else. Not to mention, I've never felt bad about myself for not being further along than I am but constantly feel motivated to be better and show up every week. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I recently started going to this gym and I must say this gym is amazing! It's a place filled with a very positive group of people who show up for the love of getting fit and pushing themselves. I finally signed up a couple months ago and I'm glad I did. They teach you the correct techniques on lifting, posture, feet position and different stretches.
