My wife and I have built 4 homes with 3 different builders and we recently built our last home with Detrie Builders. This was our second consecutive home using Detrie Builders. We worked with Bob Jr on our third home. It was a challenging out-of-town build, but that didn't hinder the timeliness or the quality. So using them for our latest build was a no brainer. This time we worked with Dave, Bob's son. This was a challenging build because of our tight time frame and some lot challenges, but Dave pulled it off. And when I thought things could be better, Dave pulled it off. His insights and guidance were huge in finding and deciding on a plan, being visual, I need to "see" things. He was right there with pictures and locations of similar homes so we could actually see the style, roofing, or siding, or brick, etc. He was patient and insightful all the while learning about taste, style, preferences so he could make effective suggestions, or challenge us with pending decisions and considerations that he suspected we ultimately might not like. And he was right on all of his suggestions and warnings. But this was just the start of our most challenging, yet easiest build. This all happened because of Dave's willingness to meet when needed, it also was helpful having worked with dad, that Bob could step in and not miss a beat. But while Dave and Bob were incredible, you can't do all of this without having staff and sub contractors that share your zeal for customer service. We felt so comfortable with every vendor, everyone went above and beyond to see that they were meeting our expectations. And to make sure this all flowed smoothly, their site foreman "Coop" was amazing. He was timely, thorough and an incredible communicator with us and with the sub-contractors. Both of which had a mutual appreciation for each other, which we found refreshing and unheard of given our previous other building experiences. Even our new neighbors commented to us on how courteous and hard working the workers were. I could go on and on on all the "little" things they did to make our experience enjoyable. In summary, they worked magic and somehow got us in our home despite the tight timeline. And now, a couple years later, we continue to get comments from visitors about the attention to detail and the quality of construction of our home. All of this without any callbacks. read more
