One car was done in less than 45 minutes, and the other a similar timeline. I got home and could wipe dirt off with my hand on the SUV, so I find it hard to believe anything but a quick drive through wash was done. Also made an appt via yelp and the people on-site were confused and annoyed. "On-site" is relative as it's a tent at a gas station. I'd recommend going literally anywhere else for services. Edit - per the owners "scam alert" about not sending photos, see attached. They were sent in real time. I had to follow up for days for a supposed resolution, and the only recourse after was attempting to resolve with my credit card company. To clarify, I never said I didn't receive some services. I just didn't get all I paid for, and if that is the caliber of work you can expect there...I'll pass. Gas lighting behavior from the owner is atrocious. Thanks for actually reading the full story!

The gentlemen at the payment screen was friendly as he talked me through the different wash tiers…read more I decided on a $16 wash, based on what I believed my car needed. As I approached the wash tunnel and set my wheels on the conveyor, something strange happened as my car started moving backwards. (I've never experienced anything like this at a carwash before). We got it corrected and started moving, although based on the experience, maybe we missed part of the wash timing due to this issue? The travel time was quick and upon exiting, my car was far from dry, with water drops everywhere, on all parts of the car. There was still dirt on my back windshield and my tires/ wheels looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. (This wash stated it included a tire and wheel cleaner...) The bays were all full also when we exited. Not the Super Star's fault as the guy next to us was seemingly giving his car a full detail. Once we got a bay, we had to to a lot of drying and wiping of dirt, which I didn't expect when I paid $16. There are better choices elsewhere.

Yet another great experience at Mr. Foamy's Express Car Wash on El Norte Parkway in Escondido--the…read moreExpress location at the ARCO gas station! Come to find out, there are actually two Mr. Foamy's locations fairly close to each other that have the same owner. I accidentally wrote my previous review for the Mr. Foamy's at the Shell gas station, but that's okay because that one is great too! I especially wanted to make sure I reviewed the Express location at the ARCO, though, because as others have mentioned, Mahir is top-notch at maintaining an awesome car wash. The prices are good, and saving $.20 per gallon at ARCO is a great incentive. Mahir goes the extra mile. He sprays down the car before it goes through the wash, keeps everything well maintained, and pays attention to details that really make a difference. And I have to give special recognition to something you might not normally get excited about at a car wash--the vacuums! Why would vacuums deserve special mention in a car wash review? Beach sand! Anyone who has tried getting beach sand out of carpet and upholstery knows how challenging it can be. We recently went to the beach, and Mahir takes pride in keeping the vacuum filters clean--and you can absolutely tell by the strength of the suction. The vacuum did an outstanding job. You can't even tell we ever went to the beach! Even something as simple as having plenty of clean towels available gets his attention. When I was there, the supply of clean towels was nearly overflowing. And how often does someone at a car wash actually remember you? Mahir has gotten to know me, always has an awesome attitude, and is genuinely upbeat when I come in. Like I said, both Mr. Foamy's car washes are great--the one at the Shell and the Express location at the ARCO gas station--but the Express location really lives up to its name as a great and efficient way to get my car clean, inside and out. Once you try those vacuums, you'll understand why I've now mentioned them in two reviews! Thanks for all your outstanding efforts Mahir, and for the great attitude you bring every time you see me come in as a customer. It really does make a difference and turns a routine car wash into a great experience.
