Went back for more with a 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo that has just 30K miles on it and was recently refinished. Tim and the team put fresh PPF on the front bumper cover, nose panel, headlight covers, partial fenders and side mirrors... then applied a ceramic coat to the rest. Looks absolutely incredible, and my poor photos can't do it justice. Tim is a stand up guy offering the very finest service in this category. Can't say enough about this shop. read more

We took our black Mustang we bought used here and I will never go anywhere else for detail services. Tim and his apprentice were amazing. We purchased the car used and it needed a lot of cosmetic work, but they were able to make this 5 year old black car look much younger. We also had clear bra installed on sections of our other car as well. Tim was great at keeping in contact and communicating with my husband and I, we felt completely comfortable leaving our cars with him. His turn around times were great and were very happy with the services we received. Adonis has become our go to for all things detail related and we will be bringing any and all future cars to him moving forward. This business and its services are worth every penny, and I recommend him to all friends and family knowing they will be well taken care of. I've recommended others for tint, clear bra, ceramic coating, paint correction, and powder coating wheels. Whatever it is, you'll receive quality work. read more

We looked for the right place to get our Rivian wrapped for a couple months. Adonis was the perfect place! The owner is very communicative and knowledgeable. He sent us pictures and gave us updates throughout the whole process, even answering the thousands of questions we had! When we picked up the car it looked amazing! The ppf you couldn't even tell was on the car, no visible seams or noticeable edges. The tint was exactly what we were looking for. Chrome delete and emblem blackout made the car have its own unique and sleek look. Our Rivian arriving was so exciting to us, honestly picking up the car after Adonis worked on it was even more exciting. The car looks so good. I will be recommending to everyone! read more

08/04/18: Unfortunately, had an issue with the tint on the windshield (ghosting from defective tint) which bugged me. Once again couldn't be happier with Tim's level of service. Quickly scheduled me (I'm usually busy on weekends as I work for a utility company) on a Saturday which I was lucky to be off. Without any hesitation said he would remove and re-tint the windshield. In the past I've usually had to put up a fight when claiming warranty work but not here @ Adonis. Tim wasn't sure if the issue was with the glass or with the tint but mentioned he wouldn't know until the film was removed. Keep in mind this film is hella $$$ and isn't exactly easy to tint. It was pretty amazing to see him remove the tint without any residual adhesive being left to clean. This made the re-tinting process super easy for the installers. Also, had Tim remove the console wrap that i installed from RPM Tesla which kept lifting. He replaced it with Xpel stealth and couldn't be happier now. If anyone is looking to purchase from them, I'd strongly advise you not to as their customer service is one of the worst I've experienced recently. Countless emails have now gone unanswered in close to 3 months. Only sad part was that our lil man got sick during this trip and we eventually had to put him down 2 weeks later, RIP Tobyjai read more

Took my vehicle to Adonis Detail -- and now my car looks like I just picked it up brand new from the dealership! Got a paint correction and a ceramic coat was applied as well. Tim and his team are very informative and knowledgeable AND sent updates as the work progressed. Extremely professional and friendly! If I could give this place 10 stars, I 100% would. Wanted to wait and wrote my review to make sure I didn't have any problems months after using Adonis. Tim and Jason are awesome! Reporting back from June, we have had Zero issues!!! Yay! We have had our Tesla Model Y and our Rivian R1T PPF and ceramic coated as well as windows tinted. Everything with smooth, they worked with our timeline. And treated our vehicles very well! I didn't have one issue at all with the service provided. They have a clean shop and are very nice, along with competitively priced for the area. Very happy with my service! Tim at Adonis is a class act. There are so many great PPF/Paint Correction shops in San Diego county, it was a thought decision, but ultimately I went with Tim and couldn't be happier. He did a full front and rocker PPF with ceramic coating. The result was breathtaking and Tim made sure to double and triple check everything before taking delivery. Thanks Tim! read more

I manage a large private exotic car collection in North County San Diego (JMFPgarage.com), and we've been using Tim at Adonis Detail for quite some time, now. I believe that it's been since February or March. We sort of "tested" out Tim's business when the owner of the collection had Tim detail one of his daily driven cars. For that particular car, Tim did a full paint correction and CQuartz coating on the car. It was incredible how much of a difference it made! Tim also took the time to explain all of the damage that he found on the car, and he pointed it all out to us as well as took before and after photos. Since then, Adonis Detail has paint corrected and coated 5 more cars for us. On the 458, they removed the clear wrap from the entire car prior to paint correction and coating, and on the 993, Tim did a full wet sand prior. We currently have a long list of cars on the Adonis Detail to-do list, and I must say that after 6 cars, we are still incredibly happy with his services. I will update this review as we go along. I hope this has helped any of you who are looking for a detailer! read more

Tim Coats Rocks! He did paint protection on my GT 3 Touring when I purchased it a few years ago . Last week when I was detailing it I noticed a small neck on the protection he applied to the mirror . Not sure what hit it but the protection saved the carbon fiber. I called Tim to redo the mirror and he did. His level of service and quality of his work is by far the BEST! read more

Took my car to Adonis based on the reviews here and various forums and wasn't disappointed. Tim took great care of my car and treated it like his own. He helped explain all the options and answered my many questions about products/options from competitors vs his own. After evaluating multiple locations, I choose Tim because I knew he himself would be working on my car and it wouldn't be an unknown technician working for a larger shop. He also fully charged my car before delivery. I got the Full Frontal PPF, Rocker PPF, Ceramic Coating Platinum, and Photosync IRD (70 on windshield and one piece rear, 55 on sides). This package also includes the side mirrors, center console and trunk bumper. Couldn't be happier with the end result. If there are any problems, I am confident that Tim will resolve it. He also owns and develops the formulations for the Ethos car product care line so he is constantly improving his products that can complement his coatings. Will definitely look to Tim for my future needs. read more

Tim's communication was great the whole time and he finished on time and did a fabulous job. 2 months and 2000 miles later my car looks like new every single day. Note: Work was done before end of 2016 but I gave it time before I felt comfortable with posting a review. My best present for Christmas 2016 was getting to know Tim at Adonis Detail. Christmas is not about 'things', it is about people and relationships. Meeting such an honest and hardworking individual like Tim gives me faith that there are people out their that value their reputation over "one and done" transactions. When it comes to services, we all need a GOTO person. When it comes to window tinting and paint protection films, Tim is my man. I have had 7 personally owned vehicles tinted/filmed by various vendors throughout Orange County. Being a diligent Yelper and car forums participant, I have successfully found excellent vendors that I have no complaints about. While I had no complaints, none of my other experiences were remarkable even though I felt they would have earned five stars. They earned five stars because they did what they promised. For people like Tim, Yelp really needs a system where you can grant 6 stars on a very limited and selected basis. Six stars is when you way over-deliver on what you paid for. The vehicle that I needed tint and paint protection film on is a Tesla Model X. It is a vehicle that requires someone experienced with Teslas, someone with an already established reputation working on high end cars, and someone who works with higher end tint and paint protection films. I had a short list of about half a dozen five star yelp vendors/Tesla Motor Club references that I decided to follow up on to work on our Model X. I interviewed them all for materials used, pricing and my gut feelings/experience from years of professional vendor valuation. Two of the six vendors I already had prior experience with. One of them did Xpel film on my wife's Audi Q5 a few years back. Another vendor I tested with our Chevy Volt while the Model X was on order. Trying to find the right balance of price/reputation/materials I selected Tim. Driving a Tesla means you are not broke. Driving a Tesla doesn't mean you are necessarily loaded either. I have to hope I made the right decision when it comes to this level of investment. One extra consideration was distance. I'm coming from Irvine so it takes me 90 minutes one way. I was hoping my efforts would pay off. One thing about car detail shops is you don't "really know" who ultimately touches your car. While the business itself might have a reputation, you don't have detail on the individual workers themselves. With Tim it's not taking to a salesman. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that Tim himself does all the paint protection film. I like it when all the accountability is with one person. For the work, I went with Complete Whole Car Specta Photosync Window Tint (Front Windows, Rear Windows, and Windshield) Complete Whole Car Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection Film (Front Bumper, Front Fenders, Hood, Mirrors, Lights, Rear Bumper, Rear Fenders, Four Doors, Trunk Lid, Wing, and Pillars) The majority of the work done was custom with few kits. What I especially liked was the attention to detail. Tim removed license plates and badges which necessitated a trip for Tim out to the Tesla Service center to buy new badges. I had Xpel before on my Q5 and the installer just cut around it. read more

Tim and his team did an amazing job on my gt350. Met with him to get professional opinion on PPF on the front end. One of our friends had Adonis install PPF on her Model S and I thought they did a fantastic job, so when my wife got her Model 3 they were the first on my list to call. Tim was excellent at communicating a few different options we had (film types, different amounts of coverage, etc.), and is just a sane, normal person to deal with. The final product (Clearguard Nano) looks great (meaning it's invisible!). I most certainly will go back to Tim @ Adonis when I need something else done! read more

5 years ago, I had Adonis install paint protection film on the front of my then new 2014 BMW 328d. The job was done absolutely beautiful with all the seams, etc lining up perfectly. But even more amazing is how the front of my car looks like after 100,000+ miles. It is perfect, no, but pretty close to it. Big thanks to Tim at Adonis Detail in Vista, CA. Tim did a fantastic job on my Model 3. I had Xpel Stealth (full wrap), Spectra Photosync 75/35, 3M 1080 satin vinyl chrome delete, and ceramic nano coating done on the Model 3. I did a ton of research on different PPF and tint products, pricing, and installers. I also visited various installers to see their work. Finally settled on Adonis after a couple of rounds of phone calls and emails with Tim. Tim was professional and super friendly throughout the whole process. So I finally decided to make the 100 mile trek from Los Angeles down to Vista. I really appreciated the pictures Tim sent throughout the week to show the work in progress. When it was done, I went through the car thoroughly and the quality of work is top notch. If you want quality work done on your Tesla, Tim is your guy. read more

Tim of Adonis Detailing, did an exceptional job of installing the "clear bra" on our new Tesla! We recommend his service to anyone with a new car, new paint job, or a Tesla or other high-end vehicle, to protect your paint from rock chips and road damage. Tim is one of only a few authorized 'Clearguard Nano' installers in California. We actually called him regarding the Xpel Ultimate clear bra protection film, and wanted to compare it to the Suntek protection system. He was willing to install either one, and explained the pros and cons of both systems, and gave us competitive quotes for both. Then he informed us of the the alternative Nano system, which has the same durability, and same 10-year warranty, and same self-healing properties of the Xpel system... but with the clarity and glossiness of the Suntek system (which is exactly what we were looking for). The job was completed in less then a day, with no imperfections or flaws. Furthermore, Tim was very professional, and provided us with all the paperwork for the warranty, and additional suggestions for care. THANK YOU! read more

I found Tim and Adonis online and chose to go with him after reading all of the reviews and speaking with him at length several times before turning over my car to him. I have a brand new Audi S4 and have babied every car I've ever owned, doing the detailing myself. With work and life these days, I don't have the time to spend a whole day every month or two and Tim recommended going with Modesta coating. He is a true professional, and even picked me up from the train station after leaving the car with him to cure overnight. He spent a good deal of time going over how to care for the car, and all I can say is that he truly made me feel like he treated it as if it was his own. I'm getting new wheels soon, and he offered to have me bring the car to his house to have them coated too! I was blown away by how amazing the car looks and feels. It's a deep, glossy shine, and the coating really enhanced the metallic look of the paint. He corrected things that I hadn't even noticed in the paint. He applied some clear-bra protective film to my headlights and fogs, as well as to the door cups to avoid those nasty fingernail scratches, and didn't charge any extra. I'm 100% giving my "brand new" 1969 bronco to him in a couple weeks to work his magic on. I recommend Tim without any reservation and you'll be amazed! read more

Adonis Detail is the truth! Brought my new Model X there for a full body Xpel wrap and nano coating. Experience and the work was top notch. There was a little hiccup with the quoted time because of some back ordered materials, but Tim went above and beyond to make sure I was kept up to date and informed about the progress. After talking to multiple detailers I chose to go with Tim at Adonis Detailing. I wanted to Nano coat two cars and polish a third, so needless to say I wanted it done right! I have never done a nano coating to any of my previous cars so this technology was new to me. After talking to Tim on multiple occasions I was able to settle on a particular coating. What was great was that Tim did not push one particular product on me. He spent a good amount of time explaining the different coatings and their pros and cons, IE. longevity, scratch resistance and price point, so I felt like a made an informed decision after talking to him. The results: I can say my wifes 2016 Volvo XC90 looks amazing! It is black in color and this is something I should have done earlier but Tim went the extra mile and made it look awesome! My 2016 Audi S7 looks way better then when I picked it up from the showroom floor, the shine is amazing with the coating and the paint just pops! Washing of both vehicles and wheels is now way easier after the nano coating is on there. My 3rd car which was a lease return just got inspected by Lexus and the inspector said it was the nicest car he has ever inspected!!!! Needless to say I won't be getting a bill from Lexus on that one. Overall the service and the attention to detail was the best experience I have ever had with any detailer, and I have worked with many over the last 20 years, so I would highly recommend Adonis detailing!!!!!! P.S I will post some pictures up soon! read more

I searched online for the best Paint Protection Film (PPF) installers and Tim Coats seemed to get consistently great reviews. I am over a hour away but felt it was worth the drive. He did a full custom install with XPEL Ultimate Plus and tinted the front windows / windshield. He also removed the chrome badges and painted them black. After getting the car back I did a close inspection of every edge and I am very impressed with his work and the final product. There was an edge that opened on the trunk and he offered to drive over an hour to my place for the 2 minute repair. Its been over a week and the fix still looks perfect. Living in Orange County, there are myriad of choices when it comes to Paint Protection Film "PPF" and window tint services. The biggest issue the consumer faces is getting unbiased, accurate information in regards to the materials available and the methods of install. As the PPF industry has exploded over the past 5 years, the information available has become even more confusing and contradictory. I spoke to Tim at Adonis Detail a full year before I even owned the car that would require PPF and tint services. During our conversations, Tim was very professional and supplied information in an unbiased manner, giving me the pros and cons of each option. Not once did he push me in any certain direction. If anything, he consistently recommended striking a balance between cost and value. After his recommendation, Tim installed a SunTek PFF Track Wrap and Spectra Photosync tint. Tim has tremendous attention to detail. He conducted himself with the highest integrity. And, most importantly, he is extremely friendly and easy to work with. This attitude is crucial when you're in the $100K+ auto industry. The car looks better than when delivered from the Dealership. I highly recommend Tim for any PPF, tint, or detailing needs. I will be bringing all my cars, including my family's, to Tim for many years. read more

We recently purchased a new F150 Pick Up. I do not have garage space for the truck so it is parked outside in full sun. My concern is paint protection and extending the longevity of the paint. Not knowing anything about protective coatings I surfed the internet for information and service shops. I tried calling several shops with no success. Adonis's 5 star reviews caught my eye.
