Great place for all your facial needs! I've been seeing owner Marijana for the past few years and have seen improvement in my skin since. I came to her looking to even out tone, reduce hyperpigmentation, and renew my overall skin. As a result, I started getting perfection peels here. After my first peel and seeing the layers of skin coming off as my face felt on fire, I was scared. However, Marijana assured me this was normal and my skin would transform. Boy was she right! Having pigmented skin, I was skeptical about procedures leaving scars, but she was very careful in application and testing how the skin reacts. Over time, I trusted her to make the right choices for my skin. She is patient and will take her time to work on your problem spots. Look out for package deals. This is where you can save a little money on some of the treatments (pro-cell, jet peels, hydrafacials, etc.). Her schedule can book up fast. So plan ahead. The office will call you with a reminder about your upcoming appointment and to confirm. If you need to cancel a service, be sure to do so at least 24 hours in advance or there is a charge (maybe $25?). They can also place you on a cancellation list and call if something opens up before your scheduled appointment. The spa also carries various skin care products from brands like Eminance and Image. Marijana uses these products in her services. So you can experience them at home too if they work well for you! She will also order any of them for you! Love Destiny Derma Spa. Natalie is wonderful I always feel relaxed. She is extremely sweet and professional..

I was referred to Destiny Derma Spa and when I called and asked to be scheduled with the individual I asked for, I was told "she is on leave because she is having personal problems." That was a breach of privacy and totally unprofessional. Not a very good first impression. I hadn't had a facial in a long time and was looking for a relaxing facial and pampering, so I booked a facial with the Owner figuring it was a referral and willing to give it a chance. All I got was bragging and barraged with a sales pitches for other services they have to offer till I stepped out the door with a headache. I did buy 3 of the products suggested which cost over $200 and was foolish enough to return for a dermaplane. During that appointment, she always was talking and when I left the receptionist was going to charge me twice what I was quoted. Again, it was not anything relaxing and when I told her the products I bought were making my skin red and aggravating the rosacea, she replied it was my fault for using too much. The bottles the products come in are a pump and I only used one. I gave it a few more weeks and finally stopped using them and the redness cleared up. She never did reply to an email in regards to that and a refund. While the Owner has good knowledge of skin care, I cannot recommend Destiny Derma Spa especially if you are looking for relaxation and aging gracefully. read more

I recently had the powder brow treatment done with Christine and I've gotten so many compliments on my brows. They look very natural. She spent lots of time with me explaining the procedure, choosing a color and mapping my brows.​ She is extremely meticulous, caring and listens well. This had to be the worst facial I have ever gotten...first of all I had to wait 45 minutes. I was not taken into the room rather I was told to go in and lay down. No pampering, no soft hands, and I left feeling more stressed than getting stuck in rush hour traffic. I would recommend revalations spa in Lakewood. read more

So I went today for my first Sugar Waxing. I got the Brazilian Wax. As with any first wax, you're scared of the pain. Let me tell you, I wanted to scream all the curse words in the dictionary but held it in pretty good. It hurt. Oh yeah, it hurt. The founder did my wax and she was quick. I liked that she kept talking to me which kept me from thinking about what she was doing.......almost. She was very professional and I even was able to breathe enough to ask some questions during the waxing. Of course I can't show you guys a before and after picture but I can say that it's an internet process. I liked it so much, I bought the cream that keeps ingrown hairs away which wasn't cheap but because I've dealt with ingrown hairs in that area before, I figured I probably needed it. I'm. It walking funny or anything that but it does tingle and not in the good way. I'm going back in 4 weeks because that's what you're supposed to do at first. I have gone here on and off for many years. I would highly recommend their facial services and choice of products. They helped me tremendously with acne care in the past, and was the only place I'd ever been that provided me any relief. I currently go for their sugaring services and also would recommend for their professionalism. They offer really great deals throughout the year making it more affordable, but overall I gave it a 4-star because although I truly believe you get what you pay for, I've seen their prices increase over the years making some services no longer accessible to me/I'm sure others. Today was my first visit at Destiny. I was very impressed with the receptionists being both welcoming and friendly. The salon is clean, quiet, and relaxing. I had a facial with Justine which was absolutely wonderful! She is not only kind and pleasant, but also very skilled. I did purchase two of the products that she recommended and am hopeful that they will work well with my skin. The salon is customer focused with greeting clients with smiles, timeliness with appointments, and offering personalized suggestions regarding skin care for my skin. I went in for a dermaplane and O2 facial. The girl who did everything for me was amazing! She was so friendly and helpful! I thought that I would get horrible service because I purchased my facial from Groupon but I feel like the service couldn't get any better. It was roughly 45 minutes long and my skin looks awsome! This was my first experience with having hair removed in the nether regions other than shaving. I have never left a review before, but I had an experience that was worth warning others. Anita performed the service and I did tell her it was my first time. She explained nothing to me and jumped right in without warning. I was shocked, but kept my cool. She continued to have at it and I asked repeatedly for a couple seconds to "catch my breath". Anita ignored my requests and kept going. By this time I was sweating and in pain! It was complete in less than 10 minutes, but probably one of the worst 10 minutes of my life. As I stood in front of the front desk when it was over, Anita bragged about how she can usually get a brazilian done in 5 minutes. Holy moly! I was swollen for 3 days and had to pull my shorts out to sit down the first day. Anyway, I got my courage up to try it a second time at the European Wax Center in the Promenade and it was a 180 degree experience from the one I had at Destiny. I had Erica and she was very comforting and took her time. It took about 30 minutes and their wax only sticks to the hair, not your skin! Now I know it supposed to be easier after the first time, but it was a HUGE difference. No swelling! I'll be going back. read more

This place has a very friendly staff. Place is clean & very relaxing. This is my 1st time trying sugaring Brazilian waxing. I've heard people say its more painful but I find it a lot easier & less painful than reg wax & hard wax. It's very easy to clean off as well. I had Anita do my Brazilian sugaring and she was great :-) This place was very accommodating as well I called & was able to schedule the same day &also decided to do my eyebrows last min. & they were able to do that as well all in less than an hour. This was my first and only place to get sugaring done, so I may be biased. My first appointment with Anita, she explained everything and was very calm and patient. I came in specifically because there was a Groupon, but I have become a regular. They offer specials, so thankfully I have not had to pay full price of $85 yet. I have very sensitive skin, and this has had the best results out of everything I've tried (regular waxing, shaving, etc.). I have had acne since I was teenager so I decided to book a facial at Destiny in hopes to discuss somethings I could do to help get this under control. I booked an appt with the owner. She was very informative and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I bought some of the products that she recommended and a chemical peel and facial later I was on my way. I enjoyed my first experience but the prices of the products are on the expensive side. I took a leap of faith and hoped that it was the good stuff. I started using retinol which was advised at my visit. I wish someone at the office had told me the potential side effects before I just started using it every night, my face was very irritated. But google was my remedy and things got better. I just had my second visit and am still pleased with the results, except I wished Marijana hadn't tried to sell me on this serum throughout the whole session. Having blackheads and pimples extracted is far from relaxing and having her trying to tell me how much I could use this serum was more distracting than just breathing and getting through it. I love how informed she is but there are times through out the session that you just want try to relax. Like imagine if you were having a massage and your therapist is just telling you about the miracle lotion the whole time. Not too mention she gave me a flyer to read while she was doing my friends facial. I am only 22, and am independent so these visits are a couple of trips of groceries for me. It wasn't until at check out that she told me the serum was $115.00 and that she didn't have it in stock. I would recommend this place however because I am getting results. I got a facial from Justine last week. First I'll start by saying I've had countless facials. 100 maybe? I spend a lot of money on my skin. It's my only face I'll ever have. She is fantastic. Her movements are amazing. She is kind, excited about her work, and just a sweet girl. I was very relaxed and she was available for questions if I had any. I have used the products they sell there and they are both very good lines. Not cheap but good products never are. If you can't afford them, be clear about what you're purchasing before you get to check out. They have a good referral program. 50% if you refer someone so that's a huge savings. Take advantage. Wax was great but the owner was sooo freaking obnoxious! First when I walked In she was on her phone and didn't take me back till she finished then she wouldn't stop trying to sell me products and I literally mean she didn't stop the whole 30 min! She was very pushy and aggressive and tried to force me to buy a package! Really I didn't want to hear about all her services while she was down there! Then she continued to tell me how unbalanced my skin was and how bad I needed to buy a package of facials and products to help my skin out! Mind you my skin isn't perfect but it's fine yea I had a old pimple or 2 but I wasn't there for my skin! The minute I walked in, the owner of the spa greeted me as she was passing through the waiting room She thanked me for coming and was very gracious! Sarah gave me an anti-aging facial. Not only was she very informative about what she was doing, as she was doing it and why, but told me about the products she was using and the benefits that they offered. Most spas don't do that. She asked me about the issues I was having with my skin and what she saw as she was completing my facial. She also, made notes for future reference. She obviously knows her job quite well and is very knowledgeable. I noticed a difference the minute I looked in the mirror and I scheduled my next appointment before I left! read more

I enjoyed my facial and the products however I had two negative experiences here. First time I went my facials were half off. The owner Marijana did my facial and recommended what I thought was one facial. At checkout she said " I am going to give you this to use on your face for the next week." It was a sample pack of face wash and moisturizers. It was not until I got my bill of almost $400 when I was a little upset (especially since this was supposed to be an inexpensive visit being the facials were half off) I noticed on the receipt she charged me for the sample pack that I thought she was "giving" me. I decided to give it on more try despite that experience because my friend swears by the facials. The second visit I went in very specific in what I wanted I told her "I only want the jetpeel facial ". So again when I was checking out and spent my over $200, I was upset. There were three diff charges in my receipt for an anti aging facial/acne lift/jetpeel, when I specifically told her what I wanted. On my receipt with my future appointment in April it already had three facials picked out for me that I never had picked out of even discussed wanting with the receptionist, it truly is a scam! I tried calling as soon as I got home and was told she would call me back after her client. The next day I called three diff times since she never called me back when she finally answered. I told her I felt taken advantage of and my concerns and she did nothing beside say she would give me another sample pack on my next visit and that it was a misunderstanding. She even proceeded at the end of the conversation to say "I understand you may need to go to a salon in your budget" insinuating basically that I'm poor. Never will I return here or recommend anyone. Terrible customer service and truly took advantage of me. You should not feel stressed about what you are spending and someone taking advantage of you during a relaxing time. read more

Terrible job on sugaring. They use hot sugar which is not the correct way to sugar and greatly irritates the skin and miss huge patches of hair. It's is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive for how poor of a job they do. I had hair grow back from a Brazilian sugaring in just 3 days after spending $70.00 on it!!! It's usually $85 if you don't purchase a groupon. That is beyond overpriced I can't even understand it. You can tell Andrea has literally no idea what she's doing when trying to sugar and I was left with horrible itchy, razor burn from her pulling the sugar in the wrong direction and applying it wrong. IT WAS SO SO PAINFUL I had to hold back tears the entire time. I've been getting sugared for a year and NEVER found it painful until I went here. My skin was left horribly irritated and itchy with patches of missed hair. The staff are obnoxious,rude, HIGHLY pretentious and just overall unkind and unprofessional people. Do NOT buy the groupon, everything is such a waste of money at this place. I promise you will regret it if you go here. read more
