We have been sending our three children to the Laurel Hill School for multiple years. It's a…read morefantastic place with an Administration and Teachers who truly are a special group of experienced educators. My children have been thriving in this environment and LOVE going to school. The structured educational practices the Starks instilled creates character and confidence the children need as they begin to appreciate this solid foundation of learning to enrich their minds as they embrace the journey of a well rounded education. My kids start school this week and they are super excited about what this year has to offer. They wondered what projects, performances, activities, the teachers have prepared and how they will be picked to participate with classmates. As parents who want the best for their children we couldn't be more satisfied.

He had a tough time transitioning and eventually we got him to go for a period of 3 months without tears. 6 mos later after winter break, he was horrified going. He screamed, cried and they would call me to speak to him because of how bad it was in hopes to calm him. They would remove him from the class and send him with the director who he had no idea of, in order for the teacher to just continue to teach. It obviously would get bad for any child to go with a stranger. They would then call me to pick him early. I tried to reach out to his teacher multiple times throughout the year in terms of communication and it was extremely poor. The only time I'd get good communication would be if they wanted me to pick him up early ( also stressful for a working parent). In the end, the new director spoke to us and we decided it best to withdraw him. I reached out to teacher to get in touch as to what the heck happened but she wouldn't respond until the director intervened. HORRIBLE SCHOOL and HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Do not send your kid here unless he or she knows how to fully speak and even then, they could care less about your child. I was told to ask his doctor about separation anxiety lol. I'm convinced something happened there because he went to a new school shortly after and was thriving. Unfortunately I won't ever know what since my son couldn't properly speak and the teacher was terrible in terms of communicating.

I thought the lunches were great and always looked forward to ice cream at the end of the day. I made friendships to last a lifetime. I didn't need a fancy, super expensive camp to have a great summer, and neither does your child. My favorite years of camp was when I was a counselor in training (C.I.T.). The C.I.T. program at Hidden Pond Day Camp is awesome! Being able to go on weekly field trips and getting proper training by working with actual camp groups was a great experience. However, It is hard for the camp to keep their employees, which is why they are forced to hire candidates who are not the best. After being a full time counselor there for one summer, I understand. The counselors are treated with no respect. Being paid UNDER $4/hr for long camp days it is understandable why no one wants to come back. The work staff that returns every year actually bullies some of the employees. I was screamed at about being "too cautious" with my campers. The division heads play favorites so extremely that some counselors didn't even have to do their job. However, the camp did provide counselor bonding activities outside of our hours which was always a blast. The employees get proper training in what to do if there is a medical emergency, an evacuation It is sad for me to not return to a camp I loved so much. I recommend the day camp, but have definitely seen a significant decrease in returning counselors. I wish the best for Peter Trupia (the manager) and the other workers who put in countless hours to make Hidden Pond Day Camp a great environment.

Extremely unprofessional!…read more I offer handyman/construction/renovation services. One of Brian's (the owner) associates reached out to me asking if I could do some work for them around the farm. I contacted Brian, and after a week of going back and forth and having him cancel on me twice to come take a look and give him an estimate for the work, we settled on 11:00 AM on a Monday morning. I got to the farm right on time, and after 20 minutes, couldn't find anybody around. I tried calling but there was no answer, so I texted Brian to let him know I was there and to ask where I could find him. After another 20 minutes of not hearing anything back, I called him again. No answer; left him a voicemail. Nothing. In total, I spent over an hour waiting there before I turned around and drove back. It's now been over a month, and not only has he not apologized for wasting my time, he never even acknowledged the calls or texts that I sent him while I was there. This is no way to run a business. If I ran my business this way, I'd have no customers. Keep in mind, this was the OWNER that I was dealing with. Brian--don't call upon an independent contractor to take time out of their work day to drive to your farm for a free estimate, make them wait there for an hour, and then ghost them. It doesn't look good on you or your business!

Brian was so difficult to contact from day 1 and messed around with the days I was leasing. He also never paid the horse's owner in full for the sale and expected me to pay for him. After continuing on like this for another 6 months, I show up to ride one day and my horse is GONE. I was told Brian sold him. No other information given to me. I had already paid my lease for the month and had ridden a few days before. No one had given me a heads up that they were looking to sell him, and Brian never returned any of my phone calls. This was in October. Today I found out that the horse is at an AUCTION BARN in Pennsylvania. Not only is Brian unreliable when trying to do business with him, but clearly he doesn't care about the well-being of his horses. The only positive to the place is the Trainor Joanie. She is a great Trainor and she actually takes care of the horses. The rest of the staff is chaotic
