Our family transitioned here from the educational community that previously operated in this location, so ours is not an entirely neutral first impression. We have known many of these educators for five years, and our confidence in this school begins with the people who chose to build it.
Our son is now in 8th grade. Throughout the past five years, he has consistently worked ahead in math while needing more support in ELA. Here, all of the staff seem willing to step in when he needs them, although he works primarily with two educators. At our request, they administered MAP testing to help us understand where he actually stood rather than relying on assumptions.
He is currently being tutored in Algebra, and within his first month he had already read more than four novels of his own choosing. That second detail may mean the most to me. It feels like our child is falling in love with learning all over again.
We do not yet know where he will attend high school, so I appreciate that thought is already being given to his portfolio and traditional grades within our homeschool arrangement. It gives me confidence that this unconventional path does not have to leave us scrambling when the next transition arrives.
The practical pieces matter too. Month-to-month membership gives our family flexibility, optional aftercare helps when work runs long, and drop-off is remarkably easy.
We came here because we already trusted the educators. Watching what they are building around our son has given us new reasons to stay. read more
