Even with the choppy water, Kimberly's instruction was easy to follow and her main concern was our safety! This made for a wonderful experience and I look forward to calmer water next time around... It is quite a workout! My shoulders, core and hips have assured me of that! Thanks Kimberly and WhatSUP! Kelley

On the phone they told me to go to the concession or to these two trailers in the parking lot. There was no one by the trailer so we go to the concession and the guy seemed kinda off put by the fact that we were there and didn't seem to of known we were coming. He opens up the trailer and fishes out two beach cruisers and we had to tell him we paid for three and he then proceeded to tell us that he didn't have another one but he had a mountain bike. We were like okay? He pulls out this rusty mountain bike that looked like it was on its last leg and that's when we just had to say we needed a refund because that is not what we paid for. They told us to text the number we had called them on a picture of our confirmation and that we were requesting a refund. Hopefully we will get our money back. Do not recommend. Maybe if they had bikes that actually worked and also something so simple as a sign letting you know where to go that advertised their services they would make some more money.

Really cool and groovy surf shop in Treasure Island- this has all the beach and surfer vibes you…read morecould want. You can find most surfer essentials here- clothes, swim shirts, short and suits, body suits, hats, sunglasses, flip flops, and a whole upstairs dedicated to gorgeous surf boards and some skateboards. By the way- a surf boards? NOT cheap. But even if you aren't looking to purchase one it's still quite fun to shop around. The brand of apparel stuff is also very surfer-esque- Hurley, Roxy, Reef, Sun Bum and more. The workers were young but really friendly and gave us some local food & coffee recommendations. The one girl even said her mom worked at the shop when she was the same age and that's pretty cool. There are some pictures & trophies on the stairs from surfing competitions I assumed employees of the shop participated in or sponsored. I also loved the giant flip flops sitting out front- if you visit or have visited you know exactly what I'm talking about. They have a basketball hoop on the side of the ship and a ball out front you can shoot with. A car parked right in front of the hoop which was lame so we didn't get the chance to try it out this time. Definitely a good stop for all the beach things and will be back!

This was the highlight of our vacation to Clearwater Beach…read more We had SUCH a great time on the water with Captain Andrew. He took us on a private pontoon ride and pointed out all these crazy expensive houses that belong to famous people. He also played some awesome reggae music that fit the vibe so perfectly. An unexpected highlight was the dolphins. YES, DOLPHINS! Like, right next to the pontoon! There was a playful baby dolphin that kept swimming up next to us and blowing water. It was so cool to see an actual, real-life dolphin so close and in the wild! The tour lets you choose between renting a kayak or a paddle board. You don't have to decide until you get there. I chose paddle boarding, which was much easier than I had anticipated. I steered myself into the trees a few times, but I mostly got the hang of it. (; We paddle boarded to a BEAUTIFUL, remote part of the beach. We were barely south of Caladesi island, where the beach was covered in seashells, and there was no one around. It was picturesque -- white sand, clear blue water, waves. And it was a place that we wouldn't have been to on our own. It was breathtakingly beautiful. To top it off, we didn't have to worry about bringing our phones with us to take pictures since Andrew took pictures for us on his phone and shared them with us through text. It totally added to the tranquility and was an above-and-beyond aspect of the tour. When I come back to Clearwater Beach, I am 100% booking a tour with Paddle Out Adventures again!!

While I understand that weather can impact operations and trips may need to be canceled for safety,…read moremy frustration comes from the complete lack of communication before and after the cancellation. Prior to the trip, I attempted multiple times to contact the company with questions through email, text, and Facebook messages. There was no way to leave a voicemail, and despite messages clearly being read, I received no response. Then, just four hours before the scheduled trip, a generic automated email was sent canceling the experience and instructing customers to request a refund. After that, communication again became nonexistent. I received no response regarding next steps for the refund despite repeated outreach. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to file a dispute with my bank to recover the payment for a service that was never rendered. Weather cancellations are understandable -- poor communication and lack of customer support are not.

The kayak was easy to steer, though my husband and I are both tall and it felt a bit cramped after about an hour -- not a deal breaker at all. The light attached to the kayak was a great touch and helped illuminate the fish we were spotting. We even stopped to feed the catfish and got an up-close view, which was really fun. Although the water was cold and Nolan mentioned some fish weren't out, we still saw plenty and thoroughly enjoyed the calm ride through Sarasota Bay with beautiful views of the city skyline. I would absolutely do this again!

It's a small launch area where you can leave your shoes. We were given a suggested route to paddle over to Cypress Point Park to rest on the beach. We saw so much marine life on our morning trip - I was shocked. We saw dolphins, manatees, rays, and a shark. I know we just got lucky but man, it was so awesome. We used a Groupon but were told we could also book directly and they would honor the Groupon rate, so just a tip to look for any deals you find and then reach out to them before purchasing.

No guidance on where to head out, just made sure I knew what I was doing, gave me a life preserver and sent me on my way. There's no dry bag so you have to either bring your own or leave your stuff with them, which I didn't know in advance. The launch area is easy enough, but then basically you're paddling out into the bay, which a lot of it was really shallow when I was there. If you're looking for just some straight up paddleboard exercise, then this is fine. If you're hoping to see a bunch of manatees and other wildlife, I would suggest elsewhere.
