This is a very large hot springs resort that has both indoors and outdoors pools. It was extremely relaxing and the hours are perfect. We lived in the village and it was a short cab drive away (10 minutes). The roads are a little scary at night (pitch black) so prepare yourselves. The resort itself is very clean, bright, and high-tech and staff are extremely friendly. We were there in the weekend and it wasn't crowded at all in the early evening. Relaxing, pleasant surprise!

As soon as we got in the car to head to the spa we received a call that one of the staff was sick. It was unfortunate, but we decided to split one massage in two, so that all four of us could still get services. Upon arrival we are told that somehow, our four HOURS of services could now only be THREE 25 MINUTES MASSAGES! This left one of our group with NOTHING. I could understand needing to switch all of the services to 25 minutes possibly, but this was beyond unacceptable. There were two massage therapists working. We were spending 900 euro. Even if the one therapist was not there, how do you explain the 2 hours we reserved with the other therapist not being available to us??? It was supposed to be a relaxing start to our family holiday, and it was chaos. No staff gives you a tour or any guidance, and it's a confusing layout. They clearly prioritize a high influx of the day access to the amenities over services. They had extremely overbooked the day passes, it was mobbed. It was hard to change, walk through the hallways, hang up your robe, enjoy anything at all. One of us who could not get her massage should at the very least had her day access complimentary, but no! I have been to many QC terme's in other areas globally, and I have never been disappointed. This one is in desperate need of proper staff, and serious customer service training. We were eager to immerse our bodies in the water expecting a relaxing experience but much to our surprise, we were quite disappointed. Calicéo is popular for what it exudes but it failed to deliver. I think Calicéo should pay more attention in maintaining the quality of their place. There was not enough dressing rooms to begin with. We went on a Sunday evening and there was a queue for the dressing rooms before and after our swim. The place looks nice and inviting just like in the pictures but the water temperature was only lukewarm. We were expecting a warmer water temperature. Calicéo totally missed the point in having a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi had the same water temperature as the swimming pool!! This really threw us off as It should really be hotter. We've been to plenty of jacuzzis in Canada and its water was much hotter compared to the pool water. It's not a complete overkill for Calicéo. We liked that there was 2 hammam rooms, one room is inside the other. The first room had moderate temperature and the second smaller room had hotter temperature. Although the temperature still varies in the hammam, sometimes it's hot and sometimes it's just warm. The outdoor pool looks good with the steam and the bubble jets but it also failed to keep us as warm as we had hoped. Their saunas was ok but the temperature varies like the hammam. There was some good quality hairdryers in there that quickly dried my hair so that's a plus. Oh and we liked the fact that there were no kids kicking and screaming around us. We made the most out of our visit and tried everything twice. We walked out relaxed but disappointed. Meh! I've had better, Calicéo need to step it up.
