This is a very large hot springs resort that has both indoors and outdoors pools. It was extremely relaxing and the hours are perfect. We lived in the village and it was a short cab drive away (10 minutes). The roads are a little scary at night (pitch black) so prepare yourselves. The resort itself is very clean, bright, and high-tech and staff are extremely friendly. We were there in the weekend and it wasn't crowded at all in the early evening. Relaxing, pleasant surprise!

This place is just small, lots of crowds, and essentially you are paying entrance for one main over crowded luke warm pool. I'm not being picky, just honest. If you are in the Chamonix area and willing to make an hour drive, go check out Lavey Les Bains on the Swiss border. Now that's a impressive spa sitting in the valley of the alps with amazing views and tons of pools and lots of treatments you don't have to wait in line for.

Also very expensive compared to what I'm used to. (like I said, I don't have much spa experience) But it was a very cool place with lots to do. And we did almost all of it, just the spa part, and it took about 3 hours. There are many pools inside and out. The view, of course, it unbeatable. Some of the jets didn't work, which was a little disappointing. There are many rooms/experiences just going from room to room. Some were fun/cool/unique. Some, I thought, were silly and too similar to the room next to it. But you can make up your own mind. We didn't eat (it was a very nice buffet, but very limited if you're gluten free/dairy free like me) or do massages. And it definitely got increasingly crowded as the day went on. So I suggest AM and weekday. Having so many people around, and waiting for certain things definitely takes the Ahhhh away from the experience. One complaint, they give you a thick robe and plastic flip flops. For my feet, I absolutely couldn't wear them, it was super painful, even to stand. So I suggest bringing your own water shoes. And it was VERY hot in there for me, so I didn't wear the robe either. I carried it for the first hour, along with the shoes, and then just wore my bathing suit and no shoes (slippery, be careful) and if you want to eat, the robe is required, fyi.

The hotel is a luxury five star hotel property. The owners of the Hotel D'Ouchy also own the Lausanne Palace, which is why all Hotel D'Ouchy gets get free access to the Lausanne Palace spa facilities. The facilities are numerous and you easily spend the day there, without ever even getting a service. Their is a sun room, outside terrace, fitness area, indoor pool, hot tub, sleeping room, hammam, dry sauna, juice bar and cafe, and treatment rooms. You are provided with a robe and slippers if needed upon entering. The changing rooms are small and there is very limited locker space. They have Aveda shampoo and shower gel so you don't need to bring that with you. They also have cheap flimsy combs in case you forget, but I recommend you bring your own as they are VERY difficult to use. They also have complimentary tooth brush w/ mini toothpaste to utilize. Also, there is only one bathroom in the changing area and two showers. The fitness area is stocked with the newest high end equipment. My only complaint is that it is VERY hot in the room and there are no fans. The pool is also VERY warm, it didn't seem like there was any difference in temperature between the pool and hot tub. I couldn't do very many laps without over heating. The dry sauna was INCREDIBLY hot. The atmosphere is relaxing, the decor is modern with Turkish touches, and everything is very clean. Their is free Aveda hot tea available to drink, and water bottles available in the fitness room. My favorite spot had to be the sleeping room, dark room with beds laid out with big cushy duvets. It was a fantastic place to catch a nap. My only complaint is that the temperature could be turned down a couple of notches. To note, their are separate hammam and dry sauna for men and women.

You can book online and if there's any problem (it is very rare to have a problem with time) they will call you. The space is clean and welcoming. If you're getting a pedicure they have massage chairs that are awesome!!! The waxing is one of the best I've ever had. She has a great technique and does it quite fast.
