I do wish I had known about the issue beforehand, instead of having nothing explained to me at the time--but I understand. ***Issue*** I'm very disappointed with my recent experience at Animal Ark of Arcadia. Until now, I've always had fantastic service here, and I've never had a single issue. Unfortunately, that changed today. I received a call yesterday confirming that my cat's appointment was at 2:20 PM and my dog's was at 2:00 PM. Based on that, my daughter and I made specific plans: she took the dog to the 2:00 appointment, and I drove all the way from Northport to bring the cat for her 2:20 appointment. At 2:17 PM, I was notified that the cat's appointment had to be rescheduled. This was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially after driving a long distance just to make it on time. The front office then claimed the cat's appointment was at 2:00 -- but both the appointment card and the voicemail message clearly said 2:20. I understand that mistakes happen, but this miscommunication caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. I hope Animal Ark of Arcadia takes this kind of feedback seriously and improves how they handle scheduling and confirmations in the future.

My dog Jix cut herself to the muscle shortly after we had just moved to Arcadia and we hadn't set up with a new vet here. Not only did they cram us in to stitch up my poor puppy but they were so understanding and kind despite us throwing a wrench in their day. Nix received great care and was good as new when we picked her up after she woke up. They also followed up with us when my husband missed their call. Not to mention they were so affordable ! We will be using them for all of our dogs and cats from now on, life savers !

Changed mind more than once when questioned on professionalism proceeded to yell. Which I had to intention of using this legally just due to the odd behavior exhibited. As I left they followed me out mind you I had my poor dog with me, who for an hour calmly waited until I received the refund never barking once until the doctor suddenly opened the door when he was furious when I questioned the professionalism. Once I was out the door as I mentioned the office manager who had prior screamed and slammed the internal door, and him both followed me out threatening to call the " law " on me. For questioning professionalism? Never once was I unprofessional cursed or yelled. I have never seen a vet office behave in such an odd way. Now I did bring by dogs to another vet in Hardee county not only over 150 cheaper. No issues with either pet being treated. I do not recommend this establishment.

Primary vet was unavailable and took a seriously ill dog to Crankshaw Animal Clinic. Dog was having…read moretrouble with standing and walking. Dr. Crankshaw gave her Quellen and made an appointment for 8 days into the future for blood work and X-rays. 2 days later she was in worse condition and we returned to Dr. Crankshaws office. He was unavailable so our dog was seen by another vet. We asked that blood work be completed that day. Abnormalities were seen and we were advised that Dr. Crankshaw would discuss those with us when we returned in 6 days. She continued to worsen and 2 days before her scheduled return to Dr. Crankshaw she was unable to walk or even to stand. We took her to the ER Vet Clinic. They ran blood and advised that her glucose was very low. She stayed overnight and had an IV a drip of Dextrose. Glucose levels remained low. She is now with her primary doctor who is running more tests and has not much good to say for our dogs prognosis. I feel Dr. Crankshaw and his staff were negligent in their lack of care and would rather see them closed than to ever care for another animal.

My poodle had an abscessed tooth and her muzzle was swollen. (My former now vet couldn't get her in until Monday). The vet techs Heather and Kenady were very professional and courteous. Dr.Norris was outstanding in treating our Lily and answered all our questions professionally and explained the treatment process. We will now be taking our pets to Charlotte Animal Hospital. Under no circumstances would I recommend returning to this veterinary clinic…read more I acquired a puppy from a reputable breeder who arranged for me to meet her at this clinic with the puppy to obtain a health certificate. The veterinarian we consulted on that day was not one the breeder had previously encountered. The veterinarian informed me that she must be a new addition to the office because the veterinarian she typically sees is male. The veterinarian diagnosed the puppy with coccidia and prescribed a treatment course. Upon returning for the scheduled appointment today, the office staff informed me that the veterinarian had declined to examine the puppy. I was required to schedule a new appointment as a new patient and would need to return on a different day. Despite my explanation that this was a follow-up appointment for the health certificate, the office staff remained indifferent. They disregarded the fact that I reside more than an hour away from the clinic. Furthermore, they refused to examine the puppy despite the fact that the appointment had been scheduled by their office and I had confirmed it a few days prior, and the breeder had already paid over $150 to the veterinarian. In my opinion, the primary motivation behind this behavior was to capitalize on the additional fees associated with being a new patient. The clinic's primary concern appears to be financial gain, rather than the well-being of my puppy. I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment at all costs.
