AVOID BLUEPEARL SARASOTA AT ALL COSTS…read more My wife and I brought our cat in during the night because he was in severe pain and urgently needed help. We were shocked when we were quoted $9,000 for 5 days of hospitalization. When we explained that we could not afford that and asked them to keep him comfortable only until morning while we looked for another option, we were quoted $4,000 for just 12 hours. What I will never forget is standing there watching our cat suffer while we felt like everything depended on whether we could immediately agree to pay thousands of dollars. When people bring a sick pet to an emergency hospital in the middle of the night, they are scared and vulnerable. They should feel that their animal's pain comes first -- not that they are being financially cornered at the worst possible moment. Our experience here was absolutely terrible. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Despite showing signs of an emergency, we were sent home with only an adjustment to his medication. After he passed away just a few hours later, we looked at the paperwork and saw it documented that he was bleeding internally. The heartbreak of losing him is something we'll never get over, and I'll always wonder if he could have been saved with different care. No family should have to experience this. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend bringing your pets here.
