Even tho he doesn't work on wicker today, I would not consider future business on other furniture after this phone call. First impressions are everything, especially in business.

I contacted a few furniture restoration shops in the Cincinnati area, but once I met with Joe Naiser, I knew he was the right man for the job. From his initial, detailed assessment of the pieces to his meticulous attention to detail during their restoration, I could tell that Joe knew his stuff. He went out of his way to explain the restoration process and gave me several opportunities to check on the progress of the work. He completely rebuilt the pieces, repairing dents, loose joints, cracks, and uneven doors and drawers. He was even able to match the stain color to my dining room table. The end result is far beyond what I expected, and the pieces are better than new! I made the right choice with Joe Naiser, and he will definitely have my future business!

I don't know if he makes them to order or not. I brought in a part of my futon frame that had cracked. He wasn't sure how quickly he would be able to get to it as he had many current projects. After I told him I had family coming to visit and they'd need to sleep on the futon, and he saw that for someone who knows what they're doing it was a very simple repair, he had it done very quickly. The work was expertly done and reasonably priced, and I now recommend this place to anyone who needs furniture repair. A word of warning- if you suffer from asthma, etc., the place is (quite understandably) pretty dusty. She was very pleasant and seem knowledgeable. I contacted her through email for a consultation a few days later. I heard nothing for 6 days and sent another email to her and to the main email for Hoffman and Albers. Heidi responded that she never received my email, but we could schedule something for the current week. I responded with a day and told her I could get more specific about the time. I sent another email the following day with a specific time, asking if that would work out. Again, I heard nothing back. I finally sent an email that this wasn't going to work and received a response to that. Without going into detail, it was not the most professional response. I am surprised that in an industry where communication and customer relations are vital, Hoffman and Albers failed miserably. That should be a red flag for anyone seeking design services. I came willingly with checkbook open, and couldn't even get a consultation scheduled.
