The Bathtub Refinishing Solutions (BRS) 10-year warranty simply means…read morethat they'll fix their multiple finish chips and flaking as many times as they can and they will charge you for the privilege of messing up your house and losing use of your bath tub/shower. My install was on 12/26/24, and it was already chipped by March 2025. Their "lead installer" came out again (he was late, as usual) and fixed it. It was chipping again by July 2025, and I asked for a different installer who repaired it again and left me with a rough finish that I was told I needed to sand down on my own! It started chipping again in September 2025 and is now flaking so badly that I can scrape it off with my fingernail. I'm having another company come out to completely strip and re-coat my tub because BRS clearly cannot do the job properly, and they're just going to keep throwing multiple bad layers of finish on top of old ones. The representative from the new company I'm using sent someone out to look at the damage in-person, and he just shook his head and said it looked like no bonding agent was used at all in my initial installation. He also said this wasn't the first time he'd heard bad things about BRS. Now BRS is refusing to refund my $695 because they say, "chips and accidental damage are something that can happen, if not taken care of properly." It's just me and my husband using this tub! We've had it refinished twice before (via a different company) and both times it lasted well over 5 years with no chips at all. BRS also pointed out that they should have charged me to come out and fix the chips, but they didn't (and they should NOT have, given that the tub finish didn't even last 3 months). I've filed a complaint with the BBB, and next step will be hitting up the family lawyer (relatives are great!). Learn from my mistake. If it seems to good to be true, IT IS.

I contacted a few furniture restoration shops in the Cincinnati area, but once I met with Joe Naiser, I knew he was the right man for the job. From his initial, detailed assessment of the pieces to his meticulous attention to detail during their restoration, I could tell that Joe knew his stuff. He went out of his way to explain the restoration process and gave me several opportunities to check on the progress of the work. He completely rebuilt the pieces, repairing dents, loose joints, cracks, and uneven doors and drawers. He was even able to match the stain color to my dining room table. The end result is far beyond what I expected, and the pieces are better than new! I made the right choice with Joe Naiser, and he will definitely have my future business!

The overnight temps were below zero, the water supply is on the outside wall = frozen pipes. I called a number of local plumbers, and no one had anyone that could get to me quickly. Tarvin initially told me I would have to be a work in, understandably, I was not the first call for frozen pipes! Maybe 20 mins later, I received a call back from Tarvin and they told me a tech could meet me at my house in 45 mins. When the tech arrived (cannot remember his name), he told me they pulled him from his office duties for the day to take care of my issue. He was polite, friendly and got right to work. Within 15 mins he had the frozen line thawed, with no apparent leaks (fingers crossed). Polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also recommended a permanent fix for the freezing issue. They did an incredibly good job redoing our, what appears to me, complicated fabric covered chairs. They even refinished the walnut base and legs, we were not expecting this and at no additional charge. Speaking of charge, it was more than reasonable, the interior design company we had engaged had quoted us more than double what Homan Interiors charged us, using the same material. It was a pleasure talking to the owner, it was obvious he really enjoys bringing these old chairs back to their former glory.
