Finally Found My Forever Tanning Salon!!! After my favorite Designer Tan location in McDonough closed, I was honestly disappointed with the salon that replaced it. The prices were much higher for the same equipment, and the customer service just wasn't the same. That's what led me to start coming to the Ola location, and I'm so glad I did even for a further drive. From the moment you walk in, the staff is genuinely welcoming and kind!! The staff and owners take the time to get to know their customers making every visit feel personal instead of rushed.... They never make you feel pressured to buy anything they simply educate you on the different beds, lotions, and memberships so you can choose what works best for you. The salon is always clean, organized, and efficient. I'm consistently in and out without long wait times, which I really love the most. They recently updated their membership options, and they're an incredible. I also love their selection of lotions and the membership discounts they offer. Their spray tans always turn out beautifully, and I've never had a bad experience here. I can't recommend Designer Tan enough. Designer Tan is a not even a good place to work if you are looking for a part time position. You only make $8.00 an hour; You also receive pay in the form of a check. Three or Four times while working at Designer Tan my check was 2-3 days late. When I called the female owner , I was ignored. The male owner began to bring the checks after that;But there is no guarantee what time of the day you will be paid or if he can even make it that day. You also DO NOT receive a pay stub even when you request one!! The female owner degrades and curses out employees for things out of their control. Such as Tanning beds messing up, Computer or Wifi issues, etc. There is no promotion system by any means. I was told upon hire that I would get a raise within 3 months. After 3 months , I was then informed that a promotion happens after a year. For $8.00. You will most definitely do things NOT in your job description. The worst part of all is the owners and manager who treat you and speak to you with no regard to your emotions. read more

They are happy to take your money even if you don't use their services for six months as you tell a busy employee to cancel the membership so you don't get charged anymore. But the owner just doesn't care enough to stop this from happening or even care about reversing charges or credit for services paid. She is a sorry excess for customer service or even knowing what is going on in her own salon. And when you try to cancel services as they tell you has to be done they want you to pay more money. Loved the staff and always very clean, however, management kept me from giving it 5 stars. Bought lotion that was recommended by an employee. Used it twice, but it wasn't what she or I thought it was. I didn't want a refund, just wanted to exchange for another product that was 10.00 less, which I said they could keep. Was told I couldn't exchange or get a refund. Left message for management to contact me, but they never did. Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority of theirs and 55.00 is a steep price to pay for something that doesn't work. Very disappointed!!! read more

Not impressed. Lots of fees, contracts that you must cancel by the 15th of the month before automatically being charged a fee for the following month, fees are high. You cant buy sessions for a bronzing bed, just the beds that tan red. The rooms are dark, dusty and look like tanning rooms from the 90s. There are more modern options in the area. read more

Very poor establishment. Went in at the end of April and spoke with salesperson behind the counter, she explained all the packages to me and I said I would be back the beginning of June. I arrived today, June 3, 2018 and told young lady I wanted to pay for 2 months of tanning. I was handed a contact and told to sign it. I read the contract that states it's a 10.00 fee to sign up to come to their place of business and that there is a monthly charge that will hit my account each month and also a termination charge when I decide not to come anymore. I explained I only want to come for 2 months this summer only. She got a young man to explain the contract to me, his attitude was condescending and thank you for the smile while telling me about your contract especially in front of 2 other young people sitting in the couch as an audience who were enjoying the conversation. Very disappointed with the poor customer service here! I purchased a month of unlimited Versa spray tan. I was planning to squeeze in 4 tans during that month. I went on the last day of the month to get my final tan and was told the machine was broken. I asked if I could come when it was repaired so I could still get my final tan and was told sure, no problem. I asked her to please note it in my account. I called for several days after that and it was continuously broken. On the 9th, a lady answered and said it was finally working again. I explained who I was and my situation and advised that I would be coming in. She said ok. I went in on the 11th when I was finally off and the lady said she had to call the manager. The manager got on the phone and said it was actually her who talked to me 2 days ago. And that she would NOT be honoring my last spray tan. She said that the machine and been broken for only 3 days (not accurate according to the times I called in) and that it wasn't their fault, a client broke it. Ridiculous! Not my problem who broke it - it wasn't working during part of my month, that's all I care about. And they should honor what I was told! If that wasn't allowed, then I shouldn't have been misinformed. Furthermore, if the manager wasn't planning to let me spray tan, why didn't she TELL me on the phone rather than me wasting yet another trip up there. I was shocked the manager didn't care about upsetting a customer and losing business. No apology, just told me nope - not happening. I was doing the month as a trial to see how I liked it.
