After seven years living in Huntington Beach, finding a nail salon that can consistently deliver a…read moregood pedicure has been surprisingly difficult. Aside from one salon I used to love (RIP to that place ), every other attempt has been hit or miss. After my most recent disappointing pedicure, I did what any hopeful person would do...I went straight to Yelp. That's when I came across Maison De Nail. The reviews were glowing, the photos looked great, and booking online was incredibly easy, so I decided to give it a shot. When I arrived, I'll be honest, I had a moment of hesitation. The salon sits in an older, smaller shopping center and it's not one of those ultra-glam, over-the-top salons you often see around Huntington Beach. For a second I caught myself judging a book by its cover. Thankfully, I kept an open mind... because this place delivered. Jenna was my nail tech and she did an amazing job. The pedicure included a great massage, thoughtful treatments, careful shaping, and a clean, polished finish. Nothing felt rushed, and the attention to detail was exactly what I've been looking for. What really stood out was how kind and welcoming everyone was. The whole environment felt relaxed and friendly rather than chaotic and transactional like some busy salons. Another detail I loved? Their loyalty stamp card. I honestly haven't seen one of these in years and it made me weirdly excited. There's something fun about earning stamps and working toward a discount on your service. If you're looking for a salon that focuses on quality service, attention to detail, and genuinely caring about their clients, this is the place. It may not have all the flashy bells and whistles, but it absolutely has what matters and the prices are great too. Safe to say I've finally found a pedicure spot I'll be coming back to

On the nail color sample book, there's a bunch of sentences and misspellings that make no sense, which makes me think they use cheap knockoff products. On top of that, the male employee stands out front and smokes a cigarette and the disgusting smell wafts into the nail salon, which is so disrespectful to the customers and their health.

I asked to have my nails cut down, but she didn't do it. She also left builder gel on my nails, and now they're peeling/picking. During the removal process, she had me place my nails in a bowl of acetone and kept alternating hands instead of using foil wraps and allowing them to soak properly for 15-20 minutes, which is what I later read is the recommended process. After about 30 minutes, she seemed frustrated and started rushing through my appointment so she could get to another client. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with both the quality of the service and the experience.

I have been coming to this nail salon for years, and for the most part I've had good experiences…read more The nail technicians here are very talented, especially when it comes to nail art and intricate designs. Unfortunately, my experience today was one of the worst I've had. I went in for a pedicure and initially asked the technician to apply nail stickers to my toes. She advised against it since I wasn't getting gel polish, which I understood and agreed with. Instead, I asked if she could paint my toenails a darker pink and simply add a small heart design. I believe there was a miscommunication because the technician told me to wait, but she never returned. My toenails were left with only clear polish, and I waited approximately 15-20 minutes before realizing no one was coming back. At that point, I had to leave. Before leaving, I calmly explained to the owner that I believed there had been a misunderstanding. I told her I had explained what I wanted to the technician, but there may have been a language barrier. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, I was asked why I didn't say something sooner, even though I had already explained the situation. I felt the responsibility was shifted onto me rather than the salon taking accountability for the miscommunication. The owner then asked me to come back later that day so they could finish my pedicure. I rearranged my schedule, picked up my son, and returned to the salon. Having to come back was already an inconvenience, but I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right. This time, I again requested a darker pink polish with a simple heart and a few polka dots. After the service was completed, I was surprised to be charged an additional fee for the design. Considering I had to return because my original service was left unfinished due to the salon's mistake, I don't believe it was appropriate to charge me extra. What disappointed me most wasn't the design fee itself--it was how the situation was handled. There was no ownership of the mistake, I was made to feel responsible for the miscommunication, I had to return to have the service completed, and then I was charged extra for the correction. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Good customer service isn't about never making mistakes it's about taking responsibility and making things right when they happen. Unfortunately, I don't feel that happened here, and because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this salon if this is how customer concerns are handled.

It takes a lot for me to post a bad review... but I felt compelled to share. Went in for a pedicure, Christine helped me- she talked me/shamed me into callous remover again... ok yeah maybe I needed it! Then argued about the color I chose. I told her before we started that my big toe was sore and to please be gentle. She was very rough and dug deep, and when I reacted, she said " I don't want to hurt you, but do you want me to fix it or not? I can just leave it and you can be in pain".. uhh ok, I said yes please fix it but it still hurts and I'm going to react! Then comes callous remover machine thing and she's grinding my foot like it's not attached.. super rushed and rough again (did I see smoke?). This time I didn't say anything, just waiting for it all to be over so I could get out of there. Then the massage was just meh, rubbing one side of leg till it was numb, while looking out the window, then the other until their little timer went off. And I noticed the tools weren't sanitized/just kept loosely in a pile in her cart...and when she was using them, she'd just toss them back in the cart.. I wish I could say I'd go back... but Christine kind of killed it for me. $40 later.... Also there was no one there on a holiday weekend Saturday morning? Weird.
