Today I sit back and enjoy a glass of wine courtesy of Design Team while Paola does her magic with low lights throughout my hair. Recently I decided to let my gray come through, but I didn't want the aging look. Paola recommended blending my gray with low lights, a process that normally take 4-5 visits. She so incredibly worked her magic and accomplished amazing results in two visits! I have never been happier! No more covering my gray roots every 3-4 weeks. It lifted such a heavy burden! Let me start off by saying, my hair stylist in Vegas ruined everyone else for me. He was that good! A couple of states and several cities later, I have yet to find one that I would keep going back to. This was the closes salon to our place. So I decided to give it a shot. The first lady who did my hair was Ana and because she had curly hair, she understood mine. Anyway, one time I decided to have my hair done and I wanted it "now" Ana was not available, so I said I would take whoever was available. They said a Paula/Paola was. I said I could be there in less than 10 min, would she be there. They said yes. When there, had to wait for 15-20 min before she showed up. She started harping on how thick my hair was. So unprofessional. It's your job, deal with it. Then she started cutting my hair in chunks, You got that chunks, not thin partition. When she blow dried my hair, her technique was so awful. It went all over, and frizzy. Then when she flat-ironed my hair, she kept burning me, So I said that hurts and she did not even apologize. But I was nice, I tipped her the minimum 15%. Fast forward a few months. My dentist office was next door. And I wanted to have the keratin treatment and again, I wanted it "now". I showed up hoping to get Ana. I was told there was no Ana working there. So I said, I wanted a keratin treatment. One of the stylist said Paula would do it. I told her I don't want her. But the owner came over and said she was the only one with the license (I found out you can get it online). I had my trepidation but didn't want to outright say I didn't want her. I was glad when she initially said she couldn't do it that day. But was available the next day. So I said I will call. But she came out to my car and said she can do it. Again, what can I do without being extremely rude. So against my better judgement, I let her. One thing I noticed my hair was not wet when she applied the treatment, unlike the other times I had it done in another state. Same technique with the blow drying, continued harping on my hair and burnt me again with the flat iron and did not apologized. They charged me more than what they originally quoted, supposedly they used more treatment on my "thick" hair. And again, like a ninny, I gave her a little over % tip. I was supposed to leave it on for at least 3 days, and not pull it back in scrunchy or put it behind my ear. Washed it after 6 days actually, and noticed that most of my hair especially the back seemed to not get the treatment at all. Result was supposed to be a relax curl and not frizzy at all. I called the studio and spoke with the lady owner. She went on and on about how the treatment had been controlled and standardized by the FDA and its less harsh ... yada yada yada. In other words, go and f.... myself. No way am I going back to this place! P.S. Since the treatment, my hair have been falling off. More than normal. The lady said that they are using less stronger product than before. But with hair falling out, unlike before?!?!? I'll mention it to my doctor when I go see her soon. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Michelle based on the positive reviews I read here on Yelp. I called first to check prices. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted. My hair came out darker than the photo, but that's okay. It happens. No big deal. I also asked for a cut that included layers but not really short ones. She dried and flat ironed my hair before she cut it. Then she pretty much did a simple trim with a long face frame.... No layers at all... Then when I go to pay, I am charged way more than quoted on the phone!! Turns out, I paid for "style" which I did not request and should come with any color and cut service. I have used Natie twice... she does a good job, BUT make sure you ask the charge BEFORE she does the work. First time I used her, I was told $99 by phone, she charged me $152... over a 50% markup. PLUS a tip... expensive. She told me the price on the phone was the "starting price"... of course those words were not used when I called in. She did a good job, so I sucked it up and went back for a second round. Today, she talked me into the Keratin treatment, $30 special when you are also paying for color. It's what they call the "mini" treatment. However, at the register she hit me with another $40 for "special" shampoo and conditioner. She said it would not be guaranteed if I didn't use this shampoo and conditioner... a $162 for touching up my roots and trimming ends? I refused the shampoo and conditioner and told her I would not be back. I left NO TIP today. Tell me the cost UP FRONT or the "EXTRAS" UP FRONT. Very sad because they are all friendly in there. I just don't like things that aren't on the level "UP FRONT". They lost two customers today... my husband has gone there for a couple of years. He said he will find someone else after this price jacking being pulled on me TWICE. Sadly too, both times the manager was near the register when I became upset. She never said a word. I left a message requesting she call me. If she makes this "right", I will let you know. If there is no follow-up, my advice would be to stay clear unless your pocket book is bottomless. Very disappointed, I will Never return, not to mention recommend this salon. I went in for highlights-that turned out just ok. I also wanted a keratin blow out. They should have recommended I wait. After spending over $500 my long hair is frizzier than before, and DAMAGED. I will probably have to have at least 6 inches cut off to get rid of the fried look they left me with. I originally went in for a full on makeover. It had been a while but I needed a cut, color and highlight. There are positives to this story but I feel the need for a buyer beware. It was about 2 O'clock when I showed up. I told the young lady at the desk what I needed. She believed that it was cutting it close but the owner stepped in and said no that there was plenty of time. (clue #1). I proceeded to go over my wants and hopes with my Stylist Ana (who is absolutely wonderful). In the middle of Ana coloring my hair Pam came and said for all to hear "that is going to look weird". In doing this she completely destroyed my confidence in my stylist. Why didn't Ana say something. So fearing that I was headed for disaster we changed the coloring plan. I was sent over to wait for processing while Ana attended to another client for a quick up-do. So as I sat and waited I watched the on goings in this salon. Kristi (another stylist) burned someone's eyebrows but didn't want to say anything. Pam checked my hair because of my tingling sensations and all was fine. She ended up having to rinse my hair for Ana was still tied up with her up-do client. In walks a gentleman who I am assuming is Pam's husband. Conversation is exchanged about being late now for their Christmas party. Their party is already waiting at the restaurant and Pam is loudly saying they are still at least an hour out from being able to leave. At this point I am wondering what kind of service I will get now and I feel slightly uncomfortable. Up-do lady has now had Ana take down and redo her hair 3 times. She is not happy. Gentleman changes to radio to some obnoxious mix of hard classic rock and increases the volume. The whole mood in the salon has changed. As I sit after being rinsed out waiting for Ana to be done with her up-do I get a steady stream of glares from the other stylists. I wish at this point they would have just said we don"t have time. Finally up-do lady is moved to another stylist because she is still unhappy. Ana proceeds to cut my hair. My only complaint is that the highlight in front on my widows peak looks weird to me. I believe it should have remained the darker of colors. I am told that this is personal preference and I have two weeks to come back and have any color corrected free of charge. She blow drys my hair and I tell her not to worry about actually styling it because they are obviously pressed for time since they closed an hour ago. I actually feel uncomfortable anyway. We check out and although there is a 10 off coupon for Ana's services because I don't have a printed copy it is not honored. The total is higher than I expected and I am not 100% satisfied but the owner made herself scarce by this time so I pay and leave. In reality I love the cut and color and made sure to tell Ana that I am pleased with how she handled herself in such an awkward environment. Fast forward two weeks, I need to go back for my widows peak touch up. Everyone was pleasant. my hair was touched up and she asks if I have time for her to blow dry it. I do so we proceed. I am all done now and quite pleased. Maybe my first visit was just bad timing. Then she drops a that will be 20 for the blow dry. Um, what? Yes a blow dry is 20 and not included because I didn't my hair cut. Apparently the fact that it is a correction and I was told there was going to be no charge didn't matter. Bottom line is I finally found someone who did a wonderful job with my hair and I cannot even bring myself to go back because their customer service is awful. read more

Let me start off with saying I paid $295.00 for something I didn't even ask for. I went into this salon with a clear image (literally a picture) of how I wanted my hair! Not only did the stylist (Cille) not cut my hair in the style I wanted she gave me highlights!!!! Wait what? No, I literally asked for one base color, one. Like you had one job lady and you ruined it!!! Now I'm walking around looking like I've got gray hairs because she couldn't even get the highlights to the ASH BLONDE I requested. Honestly any stylist with experience could've gotten the job done properly because my hair was my natural color. Then she said walk around with it see how I like it, I should call her back on Tuesday if I still felt like I didn't like it.
