This class is not easy, but when you get done the knowledge and skills will be yours for a long time, wether you plan to work on an ambulance or in the acutes, you will be well prepared to enter the workforce.

I took my class with Matthew Perez, adjunct instructor to Barry, and he made sure the content was clear. The skills instructors and professors only want the best for us and it was thoroughly shown throughout my time that was spent with them. A lot of attention and guidance is provided to the students and if at any time confusion was present, the professors and skills instructors made sure to clarify the topics. Furthermore, whenever students had a question outside of class Mr. Perez was always prompt on answering emails and was able to meet the student's individual needs. As cheesy as it sounds, I can go on and on about how great this program is but you would only have to experience it to understand!

Before taking the class, please know that you should have your own machine in good working order, and how to use the basic functions. If you don't know how to use your machine, you can sign up for a private lesson to learn the ins and outs of it. They email you a supplies list before the class. Wow the class was amazing!! Sheryl was our instructor and she was so knowledgeable and patient with us. We learned how to stitch a basic line, curved lines, how to sew a hem, gather fabric and we even did a zipper! We even learned how to change needles and feet on our machines. The class flew by and by the end, I was ready to start sewing. I would recommend this business for anyone wanting to take on any crafting projects that require sewing. They have additional sewing project classes which I plan to attend in the future.

She taught us how to use the throwing wheel table thing and how to form the clay into a bowl. Handling clay on a wheel was much harder than how it seems in those sped up videos you see on social media. You have to use a good amount of strength to stabilize your arm, and you have to work steadily despite the wheel moving quickly. It was a good experience, especially after discovering a typical beginners throwing class takes about 6 weeks when we only had an hour. After making the bowls, we waited about 4 weeks for Green & Bisque to finish glazing and firing our bowls before we picked it up. It's definitely a worthwhile experience if you enjoy working with your hands or crafting!

They split it up into two classes - a free style class and a class where you use the wheel! I absolutely loved that this was my first pottery class and the instructors here really want to make sure you leave feeling satisfied with what you made. We were here from 5-7:30PM & they allowed alcy xD so we were buzzin & making cute pottery !! Make sure you bring clothes you don't rly care for because you WILL get dirty (but cleaning the clay is saur easy to clean so isssok). If I could give her a 10000/10 rating I would !!! I think I found my new hobby :-)
