Here in America you can get those foods at any Korean restaurant year round. Overseas the average Korean family doesn't eat either one once a week. I have a great friend coming to visit and I purchased the foods necessary to prepare japchae and bulgogi at Christmas along with the ingredients to make birthday soup. My friend will be cooking. Yum! They have a wide selection of a lot of locally pro dues items, local honey from 3 different restaurants keepers In the area, some molasses from Scottsboro, different selections of Kelly sausages. I love grocery stores that provide and sell local businesses products. It's just something about being supportive for our local community. The store itself is clean, but it is older. This building has been around for years, so the wear and tear is there but it really gives it some character. I know they have really tried to go above and beyond for their senior customers. They have offered to pick out some groceries for those who are high risk and bring them out and let the customer pay via check so that is extremely courteous and just such a grand gesture. Because of this gesture I will keep coming back to Bruce's and support our local grocery.

Entering the store on the right side at the front were several varieties of rices. I looked to the left and the cold section was the distance of the length of the store and stocked with several varieties of noodles, tofu's, vegetables, fresh fish, fresh shrimp and much more. There was NO SMELL from the seafood. I walked around the store admiring all the clean floors and shelves which is expected from a new business. The young man at the cash register was friendly and helpful. He didn't hover and I appreciated that. I purchased several items and was pleased with my grocery haul. If you live on the south side of Huntsville, this store is convenient and stocks all the major foods and condiments Asians consume. Please stop by and check them out.

I used to go in early on Saturday to buy fresh lettuces for Korean BBQ. The owner was always nice and helpful. She made the best tasting tteokbokki. The store owner is extremely kind and respectful (which seems rare these days in Huntsville). It is also the only location that offers fresh homemade kimchi in large quantities. This little restaurant is kinda out in the country, but an easy drive from south Huntsville. It's somewhat easy to miss but definitely worth a visit. They primarily serve breakfast and lunch (though I think there's a dinner service once or twice a week) and it's country cooking/American classics. We came for lunch. The restaurant is obviously owned by community-minded folks; it seems they regularly provide opportunities to give back to the needy, such as free meal services on certain nights. They also have partnered with a church in Uganda, which owners and staff members visit to provide both practical and religious services. This religious commitment is evident inside the restaurant and there are interesting pictures and stories shared from their trips. Our waitress was warm and polite and happy to share her experiences with my ever-curious dad. Our food was cooked quickly and to our specifications. We all had heard good things about their burgers and wanted to try them. We all three got a 4 oz cheeseburger each. We appreciated the smaller size for a more manageable lunch but if you're hungry they also offer 6 oz patties. I added bacon to my burger. It was a simple but tasty old timey style hamburger with nicely melted cheese. My bacon was a teeny bit burnt but I still enjoyed the flavor. Our fries were crinkle cut but fried freshly and were nice and fluffy. They have several dessert options, all of which sounded good (coca cola cake!), but we weren't quite hungry enough to justify it. Maybe sometime in the future. All in all, a pleasant experience that I'm glad I had. I bet they serve a good breakfast, too!

The staff at the store was very friendly and helpful. The butcher had the meat and was able to help me quickly and efficiently. The prices were very fair so I bought the rest of the ingredients at the store. Overall, a great experience and I recommend this grocery store.
