From initial point of contact to getting things arranged, they were so fast and prioritized my grandma so well. It was incredible. They were so helpful through this sensitive and sad time. Empathetic, careful, kind, thoughtful, meaningful, and you felt the love. I'm truly thankful I decided to call them. This all transpired within two weeks. Maybe less. They gave us a schedule but grandma felt weaker on a day off but they STILL came right away without hesitation. They let us know she had 24-48 hours and because of that info, all of us were able to gather around my grandma and have her pass peacefully. So thankful to Amazing Grace.

I don't trust them. Nothing would please me more than to come back to this site to reverse my review and leave a positive one saying that all of my issues have been resolved. I finally talked to someone at Calstro. They were very nice. The woman that I spoke to is a supervisor and she promised that I would get a shower tomorrow and gave me her phone number. I believe her and I am pleased with how things are finally going. I still have a issue with my medication but I am going to try to move them to 4 stars

High Desert was not equipped to see end of life coming and treat my father properly. The nurse was un compassionate . My father became more and more agitated, which happens at end of life, and the nurse told me she didnt know what to do...my father fell and we had him taken to the hospital, there they found he had a UTI, which also causes confusion, which the hospice nurse did not recognize and treat. I hen called Charter Hospice and they told me they could offer many things that HDH could not ,Continuing care and medication by shot. If i were to choose a hospice care again it would not be H Desert.

Charter made this process a little bit easier by providing prompt efficient care, bringing and maintaining the supplies that were needed as well as extending their hearts while our beloved grandmother was transitioning.

Their care, professionalism, knowledge and empathy is second to none. Unfortunately, their office staff--Jennifer and Carissa are the opposite. Jennifer speaks and sounds like she's had 4 too many Red Bulls, shares personal information on her life that has nothing to do with the topic or situation at hand; Carissa is wildy rude, lacks empathy and speaks in facts that are not facts at all, but short-sided opinions. Dad was admitted to the VA Loma Linda for a non-hospice issue (concussion) from the emergency room. It hasn't been 24 hrs and he's being discharged from the VA. Jennifer and Carissa called me this afternoon to cancel his Hospice service though I was working with their social worker on placement for the following day in a nursing home that they set up to continue hospice care. Less than 48 hrs in the hospital (and they weren't scheduled to see my Dad until Friday,) they cancelled my Dad's hospice. The reasoning, "because we can't see him." They aren't scheduled until Friday and we have discharge paperwork to go to a place they chose on Thursday. There have been many other incidences with the office staff (Jenn and Carissa) that have caused me to leave such a poor review, but this was the icing on the cake. I'll be reporting to the VA case manager and hopefully other veterans will know to NOT choose Gentiva if given the option of another Hospice company. If you're stuck with them, document, record and be ready for the disorganized and horrible office staff all while dealing with the death of a loved one. Sharon and Heather-- you both deserve a raise. Your skillset, knowledge and passion is the only reason we stayed with Gentiva so long.

Lilybeth's organization of Specialists came in and cared for my father in his dying days, with compassion, expertise, and Grace. Alayna provided the utmost gentile ministration. They would clean my father and then massage these amazing oils into his hands, feet, and body. One night my father took a turn for the worse and I was crying and called Lilybeth for help and she responded with, "I will be right there!" and she was! Each aspect of this organization is tailored to your needs. They all work together: the RN's, Lilybeth, the daily caregiving and the ministers who come to minister to any faith. Their wholistic approach left no gaps. And on they day my father passed, Lilybeth's organization worked together from cleaning and preparing him, to organizing the mortuary. I simply had to love my father in his last days and grieve; they did everything else. I'm so grateful for Wings of Hope, Lilybeth, Alayna and the entire team.
