Dont get a car from them they're scammers! We went to see used cars because my sister needed one to get back and forth to work. She had to pay another for a rental and we told the worker Mario we were looking for a good priced one and he said he would. We then went over there and he showed us a Honda he was selling for 1000 which needed new tags backed up 1000 supposedly and he also showed us a nissan altima which he said the air conditioner was broke so he would do it for 800. He told us both just needed a new battery and that was all and I asked him if hes sure it was the battery he said yes. So my sister said she would come back monday just in case so she can get the money and everything. Come monday we get there and he said we had to buy a new battery for it because it wont start, also he figured out the air-conditioner worked on the car so he said he'd keep it 800 but we had to buy a new battery. I asked this man 3 times if he was sure it was the battery and he said yes it was. And I said because we're about to go buy it and he said it was the battery. So we went to go buy it and brought it back. They installed it and it started up but it made a squeaking sound and he put oil on the belt just said it was that. He also said that the car would need the oil changed soon on it because it was black so we said we would do that. He took us for a test drive and it drove fine but he only went like 2 miles and went back and he said it was fine. He told us to get it registered so then it wont get towed and he said it would pass smog. He plugged in a reader to show us nothing else was wrong with the car and said we can go in and do the paperwork. So we did that got the car and I proceeded to ask him again if it was just the battery and he said yes. He went to go fill up the tires there while we did it, which was courteous, and then we told them how much we were paying for a rental and needed one that lasted awhile. Once the transaction was made my sister went and drove it to work and back and it was fine. The next day she drove it an hour away and the car shut off on her. She got it jumped but it wouldn't hold a charge. It sounded like the alternator and I knew something was fishy so I called to see what he would come up with and he said he wasnt sure and he would ask his guy. So he asked him and he told him it could be the alternator and I was like that's a big jump from a battery problem. I also asked about when he did the reader knowing readers show if an alternator is out and he said his isn't the professional reader which is inaccurate to me. He said he would ask his boss what he could do amd that took him a week. I called he said he was waiting on his boss. Another week goes by which is today he said his boss said they couldn't do anything cause its sold as is. And I asked him what he told us was wrong with it in the first place and he said that he said it could be the alternator. I said he absolutely never said that because he didnt know what was wrong with it till he asked his buddy and he kept insisting that he never said it was just the battery and when I asked him about the reader he breezed over that and kept trying to lie. They're scam artists over there and we dont have much money as it is so to trick people who dont have a lot of money to just buy parts for a car or a new one thats low. I should have known better than to trust them when they lied to us because all tow yards do is lie so I should have told her to pass. Don't trust sells because all they'll do is rip you off and pretend nothings wrong with the car then back track and lie. And record everything they say because they'll try to lie to you too. Im very disappointed and disgusted that they would do that to people who did nothing to them. We're good people and treat everyone nice just to get treated like this. If anyone knows any lawyers we can talk to about this id appreciate it as im looking into it myself. ​ read more

Had our vehicle stolen. Sheriffs located the vehicle and the thief. Good news. desert valley towing was contracted to tow the vehicle, we were not allowed to call AAA which would have been a free tow for us. desert valley dropped our car in their lot after hours, I was at the yard the next morning to retrieve our vehicle. To my shock they wanted $1500 to release our stolen vehicle....thats not a typo. $1500....they blamed the tow being difficult and the Sheriffs for setting the prices. Also tore the front bumper off in the process as they had to hook it from behind and dragged the car up the ramp. I called the Sheriffs who also couldn't believe the price and had nothing to do with it of course. After 2 hours I was able to settle with them for $1k cash. desert valley towing is an absolute joke and rip off. read more

I am a small business owner who was in the process of losing their business due to medical bills I incurred last year. Desert towing towed one of the business vehicles when a driver abandoned it. When I called they wanted over $800 to release it! I tried to explain to them that I did not have any money left so I told them I would sign the title over to them. They very rudely told me they would only give me a $150 reduction on the fees. I didn't have a choice but to leave it there. Now in the middle of the covid 19 crisis they are suing my company that is already broke and not operating in small claims. I am stressed out to the point where I am getting physically ill. My trailer blew out a tire and I was stranded on the 15 Northbound heading to Victorville the only tow company that was available was Desert Valley Towing. They sent a repair truck to fix the flat tire and I was on my way, they even went out of their way to get me the correct tire, these guys saved the day I highly recommend them if you are ever broke down and need to get off the freeway fast. read more

They were extremely rude and had nothing but mean negative things to say to me and my kids. I mean how could you be so mean and rude to kids that are sitting in your waiting room over 2 hours longer than you said it would take. Then I come back the next day only to have them put it off longer. I wish I had never done business with these people they were terrible service. They took over a week longer than they said they would have it done. Then when I got it back they charged me for the A.C. Unit that they never fixed. So I had to take it back to them again and argue with the same rude person again before a mechanic would even look at it. If you're going to argue with someone that the job is done, at least inspect the car first! Flat ignorance. The manager looked so stupid when they seen first hand the A.C. Unit was not fixed. They are disorganized. I should not have had to go back there a 2nd time to get the Air conditioner to work when I already made the payment for the car. These guys are criminals. That should be illegal to do. Plus it was way over priced for every thing else they charged. 140 bucks for a oil change on a truck is ridiculous especially when there are other things I am there for too. My quad was stolen from me sometime last year. After being recovered by police it was towed here. I was improperly informed (a week later in form of a letter) after inflated fees had already accumulated. My total fees were in excess of $2400! Why isn't there a cap they can charge for these type of situations? They could care less. They had my bike, a 30 day lien, and my name/address from the DMV and and a rude lady who did not want to work with me threatening to send me to collections if I do not pay. I would rather the bike have been towed directly to the scrap yard or salvage lot, and sold for whatever it's worth. Yet I was given no choice in the matter. It feels to me that the bike has been stolen from me by thieves who asked nothing in return for it, and then stolen from them by the police and held ransom by the towing company, with permission from the police, under the threat of legal action against me if I don't pay the towing fees. I've already lost my quad, which wasn't worth much to begin with, and now I'm told that I must pay to have it back. I am currently paying monthly fees for a bike that has been stolen from me, which they now own because I HAD to hand it over to them in order for them to drop down my fees. This company is run by a bunch of crooks we have had our RV towed several times and it is the only time they tried to claim that the driver had to be paid for the way out and claiming the rv was hard to load just a rash of BS. We have never paid over $250 to tow our RV and we have driven across the entire country. When my husband tried to address the issue because they charged us for two hours even though the entire journey was less than 10 Miles, they will not refund the second hour and he's called back several times at their request to speak to management and employees have lied and wasted his time claiming they were management only to then admit they weren't management and he would need to call back again. I had a terrible experience with this company. They didn't know how to properly load my vehicle on their flat bed and completely damaged my back bumper during both loading and unloading! On top of that, the tow truck driver lied to us about repairing our damages and then when I called in to report this, both the supervisor and manager denied everything even after I gave them all the evidence they requested to prove this damage happened. And now they are ignoring my calls and emails to avoid problems they caused. This is an extremely unprofessional company who has terrible customer service and doesn't even have the courtesy to speak to me over the phone. This place takes advantage of people. We had a truck run off the road coming back from Vegas. The truck was caring a load of Drywall. It was ran off the road by another truck and the CHP called DVT to pick up the truck. The truck wasn't rolled over or anything but they tried to charge us $47,000 to get our truck and trailer and load back. This POS company held our load and would not let us pick it up until the tow fee was paid. Witch is Against the law! After the insurance company negotiated the fee down to $35000 the load was released. 35,000 is just crazy! I guess I'm in the wrong business! I have been in the material business for 25 years and had to deal with my fare share of bad people but this has to be the biggest rip off I have ever been involved in. Stay away from these guys and if you have a problem on the way back to So Cal make sure the CHP calls another recovery company. read more

This is the second time using Desert Valley Towing, and just like the first time they were awesome and great price. Our work van had a problem and needed to be towed to repair shop, the dispatcher who answered was fantastic, and wait time for tow truck to arrive was only 20 minutes, which was nice cause it was hot outside. The two guys who showed up Toby and Matthew were both great and got the van loaded onto truck quickly, they also had my husband and I go sit inside the truck with air conditioning while they took care of the van loading it which was very nice of them. My insurance company even advise me to get local law-enforcement involved because they were so rude and uncooperative which I declined because that would just be even more of a problem these people know nothing about customer service and could care less about people's belongings or property. When a national insurance company such as State Farm advises you to get local law enforcement involved you know there's got to be something seriously wrong. The only thing that this place cares about is money and harassing people. Avoid these people at all cost. That old story about a towing company existing in the middle of the desert and they think they have a monopoly on everything and can treat people like crap even to the point of conveying violence is totally a true case here. Think of the movie The Hills Have Eyes or The Devil's Rejects, Run the other direction! Now please understand the driver was fantastic the tow truck was new and a nice piece of equipment at that, that portion of the experience was professional as expected the problem lies in the office where there is one woman in particular that is extremely rude and uneducated in the art of customer service she seriously needs to be on meds or be trained on how to talk to other humans. read more
