I called Desert Valley Locksmith on a Tuesday and left a message. Mike called me back on Wednesday late afternoon. I told him I had a Honda Civic that needed two FOB keys cut and programmed. Informed Mike I work during the week 2:30 to midnight. Mike quoted me $125 for him to cut and program the keys if I brought the vehicle and keys to him, which was $15 less than the lowest price of other locksmiths in the area plus his place of business is 5 min from my house. Mike told me to come at 12 noon on Thursday. I called Mike at 11:15 a.m. Thursday and asked if 12 noon still worked for him. He replied yes but if I came right then that would be better. I showed up approximately at 11:30. When I got there Mike said he forgot that the keys needed to be lasered and his laser machine was in another van getting some repair down the road. He asked if he can bring the keys and program them at my residence around 1 p.m.. I said yes but I leave for work at 1:30. He said no problem. At 1:23 I called Mike and he said he still hadn't got to it. He asked if I can come in about a half hour, I told him no I have to get to work. I told him I just want to come by and get my uncut keys and go elsewhere with better customer service. When I showed up to get the keys he popped off saying life happens and I am not the only guy blah blah blah. I said thanks and left. Took my keys to Parra Locksmith and Victorville where they did what they said they would do and promptly. I was very satisfied paying $15 more for great customer service. I would never contact Desert Valley Locksmith again. A waste of time dealing with someone whos words mean nothing and then gets bitter because you want your property back to take elsewhere. After calling two other local locksmiths with no luck on a Saturday evening, DV Locksmith agreed to come out. After some miscommunication with the assigned locksmith,I discovered they had subsequently canceled my call. When I called to check, Mike was very rude,saying he was not a mind reader and told me he would charge me if another locksmith was already here, instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding and for canceling my call. Because I had no other choice for getting me and my dog back in my house, I paid the $100 and locksmith arrived after 1 hour.
