Who wouldn't want a famous rock star (like Rod Stewart (sort of) to do their yard? One of the most ambitious hardworking fellows I have ever met is Mr. Rod Rabbers, head of Desert Valley Landscaping. Not only is he the owner, but he pitches in with the labor as well taking pride in his enterprise, an important factor in a landscape contractor. So much so that after just one meeting I knew he was the landscaper for us, and he didn't disappoint, in fact went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our backyard.
And were we ever happy with the backyard - it was done so well it made the whole place look better. His foreman and laborer were both driven and conscientious, the job was important to them as it was to us. The whole crew was courteous and took time to explain each stage of the operation so there'd be no surprise. They finished the project quickly - not haphazardly, but complete down to the last detail. The speed was because of their diligence and hard work.
The final thing I found impressive is while picking out plants and boulders and talking with the managers of the place, they know Rod well and spoke highly of him. I knew then that he had good rapport with his suppliers and was a man to be trusted. I did check contractor licenses on the Maricopa.gov site as should anyone hiring a contractor to ensure they are licensed, bonded, insured, and have no outstanding complaints. I had found Rod on "HomeAdvisor," and was pleased with the marks they gave him as well as his clean record - the faith the nursery and gravel yard had in him sealed the deal on trust.
I can highly recommend Desert Valley Landscaping to anyone interested in getting their yard done over, or for monthly maintenance. In fact I am working on plans to have him do work in my front yard as well. read more
