Wow... the Stones, what more can I say ... For an event that hosts 70,000 people and 2 Bands a night, I have to say my experience was great. Thank goodness we had reserved seats ! No huge lines for the drinks, merchandise, food or bathrooms . I have to say they put a ton of thought into every detail. I feel bad some people struggled with the shuttle buses and parking , but we used Uber and it worked great , both to and from our house 4 miles away . Leaving was more of a hassle but I don't see how they can get around the lines with all those people. The lines for the shuttles to where you catch your uber moved pretty quickly . And as soon and you get out of your shuttle bus, the Uber cars were right there, no lines. Aside from the logistics, how can you not love The Rolling Stones . Dylan was good too, but it was the Stones that made my day, and week, and .... I've been waiting and waiting to see them live . I was simply in heaven, danced the whole time they rocked that stage . Thank goodness our seats are right on a really wide grassy isle . That was perfect for our group of 6 dancing fools ! More legends tonight ! Additional tips now that we had the full experience: The general admission merchandise booth has the best selection, hit that first, go early it's crowded and they ran out of stuff at the end. That surprised me as they had another weekend to sell the stuff. After baking in the hot sun standing in line, check out the nicely air conditioned photo museum and cool off . There's a bar inside and some couches to relax...go early though, they close at 7:00, and there's a line if you're not there by about 4:00. They won't let you bring in any liquids, but you can bring ice ! I filled my water bottle (must be clear plastic) up with ice and they have water fill stations throughout. The ice cold water saved me! *****If you at all have any kind of Hay Fever, beware! It's sooooo dusty and it's in a polo field!! OMG I had it baaaaaad. Bring Claritin, Zyrtec, etc. I didn't have any on hand, and thank goodness the general store located next to the general merchandise store in the GA section sells Claritin. There were so many people sneezing and wearing bandanas and face masks around their nose and mouth. If you have allergies and you have face masks like they wear in Asia, I would bring them. Definitely have something! I haven't had hay fever like that since I was a child! I had to wet a paper towel and cover my nose and mouth which helped some. Oh, and I wouldn't waste any $ on the pedicabs. They can't take you to the entrance and you can easily walk down the dusty road they pedal you on. They ask for $10/person, that was a rip. If you really don't want to hassle with the lines post concert, leave before the encore. They move really fast then. I couldn't pull myself away from the Stones the first night, I don't care how long I had to wait going out, I wasn't about to miss one second of their performance. We left a tad early the 2nd night, and got straight on through to our shuttle bus, to the uber lot. The last night people were leaving early from Roger's performance. We stayed, and it wasn't a problem then either, no real lines to our shuttle. We did both uber and taxi, while they were close in price, uber was still cheaper. Have fun, it was simply amazing. Wow...

Where to start .... not sure how to score this , so I guess easier is pro ms and cons Pros .... -every band was amazing ! -Sound was great and loud -Background/visuals were cool -photo experience was F@#KEN awesome, some epic photos -parking your own car for free and getting in through security was pretty easy and leaving -good choice of food and snacks to choose from, most with lines but ehh it is a festival -lots of bar associates so not much of a wait -atmosphere and decor and props were cool -goldenvoice associates knowledgeable and helpful -bathrooms were pretty clean majority of the time CONS -to leave and be in lines with hundreds/thousands of people to be put on a shuttle to be transported to the fairgrounds 15min away to get a uber, that took 2hrs, worst experience ever! Decided to drive sat and sun and was so much easier -most security and staff that were not goldenvoice were unhelpful, they knew nothing -a multi million dollar show and they couldn't get a audio/video lag fixed !! Looked like they were lip singing -merchandise lines were horrible , all shirts were unorganized and staff weren't the best of help Overall EPIC show and would do it again knowing what to expect and how to approach it !!! And it's a festival so you should expect to spend a ton Of money!! lol

This was the concert event of our life and we have been to lots of concerts. I am going to break down my review into categories, the entertainment, the venue, the service and the amenities. The performers were all legends in their own right. Each and every one of these bands could have held their own concert individually with a packed house! Friday night kicked off the weekend with Bob Dylan and Rolling Stones. 1. Bob Dylan: to put this mildly, we were more than disappointed in Dylan's performance. He is known for his eccentricities, but we did expect the opening band to set the tone for the weekend! Boy are we glad we didn't let that happen! Most of us were just in awe to be in the presence of a Nobel Laureate! Bob came on stage and for those of us not in the front row, all we could see from the stage cameras was the back of his head!! Eventually they moved the cameras to front facing, but that was after several songs. Bob didn't greet the audience, didn't introduce his band. Nothing. He played an eclectic mix of mostly unknown songs peppered with distorted versions of some classics. Totally unimpressive. 2. Rolling Stones: Mick and the guys entered stage right full of energy and personality! Mick actually congratulated Dylan on his accomplishment. It almost seemed like Mick could tell Dylan was a sour puss. Either way, the Stones put on a great show! They still have it. Boy, do they!! 3. Second night, Neil Young started the night and let me tell you, the energy was electrifying. Neil Young was born to entertain! He played for hours and even joined Paul later in the concert. Neil Young, you ROCK! 4. Paul McCartney closed Saturday night in a very big way! This man is a legend. I felt like I had stepped back into the 60s to a Beatles concert! Paul also congratulated Dylan and paid tribute to John Lennon. One of the most amazing parts of the show was when Rihanna took the stage with him and belted out an awesome performance. Man, she is just as beautiful in person as she is on the big screen! What a treat! One, I will never forget. If things couldn't get more epic' Sunday night was still hours away! 5. The Who opened Sunday night, again, wowza! These guys put it on like nobody's business. The energy was amazing! 6. Last but not least, Roger Waters was the last and final performer closing out this epic weekend. I can only describe Waters' performance as a spiritual experience. He brought tears to my eyes with renditions of traditional Pink Floyd songs and read aloud a poem he had written in response to crazy politics. He aroused strong emotions that could be felt like a collective pulse of 85 thousand people. The verve was palpable! Truly an amazing performance! The venue: Empire Polo grounds is located in Coachella, an off shoot of Indio,Ca. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. I had the pleasure of attending the first concert there in 1993 when Pearl Jam was boycotting Ticket Master. Parking is nuts. You literally have to walk through mud, dirt, rocks (wear appropriate shoes) , horse poop because yeah, it really is a polo field! Unless you have VIP parking ot disabled parking, you need to plan to trek through the elements! They have people on golf carts and rickshaw type bicycles offering rides at $10 per person!!! Ripoff alert! If you're buying merchandise, be prepared to wait!! They only had one big merch area and the line was always long. All 3 days! We finally braved the crowds and waited 45 minutes to buy 5 shirts for $200! The young guy who helped us was awesome. He was friendly and totally patient with all of our questions because they didn't have the sizes we wanted in the colors we wanted. We literally had to start from scratch on our selections. The service everywhere was pretty good. The bartenders were fast and friendly and poured some good drinks. The people at the food stands were also helpful and patient. I'm vegan, so I was stoked they had tofu! The amenities were ok. They had a water filling station. There were plenty of bathrooms on one side of the venue. Not portables, but the real deal. On the other side, there weren't as many bathrooms. Overall we had a fantastic experience! For future reference, I would suggest the promoters add more merchandise tents. The Ferris Wheel was fun and adorable at $8 a pop and gives you a chance to get aerial views and some cool selfies. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to cross a bunch off my bucket list all in one weekend!!

I have been to Coachella a few times and many other festivals as well. This was one of the BEST! All the bands were epic and sound as great as they did in the 60s/70s. The only area that could use improvement would be the concessions. They were running out early into the night.

    Stones totally rocked

We entered on foot through Santa's Workshop. When we left after 12 noon, Santa himself was there. The first thing we did was visited all the sponsor tables where we picked up swag. College of the Desert had some nice items - stress ball, lip balm, highlighters, etc. Then it was tamale time. Which vendor? Sis and I lined up at the longest line one. We waited about 1/2 hour but spoke to a couple ahead of us who told us which vendors they enjoyed. The longest line was Casa De Silvia. I heard snatches of people's conversations about the chili relleno tamale. When I got up to the order counter I ordered it plus chicken in green sauce and pork in red. The chili relleno tamale lived up to its reputation. Very good. Filled with cheese and chopped green poblano stuffed. Yummy. Later I got a pineapple tamale from The Tamale Fiesta booth. Said came with pineapple pieces. I didn't see any in mine. There's an eating area with canopies that offered much needed shade. We ate our tamales there. Hubby & I made an observation - there seemed to be less tamale vendors than in the past. But the ones that participated offered delicious tamales. We did a complete circle of the festival. Ample porta potties. After a couple of hours we exited.

We tried many tamales and were disappointed in most of them. Barely took any home to freeze for later. We drive from Riverside every year but probably won't go for 2026. It's just not worth our time anymore. Riverside has a much smaller but better quality vendors festival in late April so we'll probably just attend that one and get our freezer tamales there.

I honestly expected way much worse with all these horror stories I was hearing but no it's was a 10/10 experience. *record scratch* Yep, that's me…read more You're probably wondering how I got here. Well... When Goldenvoice posted their best Coachella lineup since 2014, I gave my fiancé the look. You know the one. The "if I don't go to this with you, I'm going to regret it for the rest of my life, because when will the next time we will be able to do this together be? Like literally we will be on our honey moon around April next year and the year after that we might be trying to start a family and then when?" look. And shockingly, he was also impressed by the lineup. And since he rolled over that easy, I broke the news that I'd also feel regret if we didn't get VIP wristbands. Now, VIP is obviously not cheap. We had to come up with ways to subsidize the total for this experience, which resulted in attending weekend 2 and car camping. I know what you're thinking: oh you poor thing, how ever did you survive such a harrowing series of inconveniences? It was my first time attending weekend 2, and it was 110% more chill than weekend 1. I'm gonna be honest, I don't recognize famous people in person anyway, and usually I'm too busy doing things at Coachella to notice who's around me. So aside from some of the W1 acts that didn't perform on W2, I didn't feel like I missed out. Not sure how the VIP experience is on W1, but there was plenty of space, mostly clean bathrooms, and pretty short food and drink lines for VIP W2. We decided VIP was worth it for the extra space alone. Car camping, on the other hand, was as I expected and remembered it to be. I don't have a problem camping, but I always seem to end up with people who have never been camping before--ever. So while we saved a butt-load on lodging, the campground activities are fun, and we had chill and friendly neighbors, the experience was just mediocre enough that my fiancé would be fine never doing it here again, unless we came with a big group of people. And to that, I say, "Nice." I was happy to see that overall, the prices have not increased much in the last four years. I remember I was absolutely pissed in 2022 at how far the price jumped for basic food, but I guess they did that with the intention of not having major price increases for the next few years. Slices of Spicy Pie were $11 in 2022, and only $12 in 2026. The signage and directing was much better than previous years, and I don't know if that was because it's W2 or if it's generally better. There's also way more free stuff being given out now (I guess thanks to influencing). We were camping somewhat close to the porta-potties, and thankfully it only smelled for about an hour per day while they pumped them. Otherwise, super convenient to walk to. Only complaint was that they didn't clean and pump the first time until afternoon on Friday, so people had been using them for over 24 hours before toilet paper and such got refilled. No running water there, though (only sanitizer). Bring a roll of toilet paper (or two). The showers were not great, as usual, but we went at a time where the line wasn't too bad. At 7am, the line took about 20 minutes for the masculine showers and 45 minutes for the feminine showers. Bring shower sandals (and your own shower products). The festival itself was just as grand as I remember, with tons of art and other interactive spaces beyond the music stages. Always fun to also see and hear many big names in music and dancing with other attendees. We spent sets pretty evenly between GA and VIP viewing, but all times between sets we spent mostly in VIP areas. The VIP area by Sahara was the least impressive of the three, with also the absolute worst bathrooms. The flushable toilets in that area had been gassed by someone with major gastrointestinal distress, while the portas were never fully clean. Rose Garden had the most open space, and the flowers were in-bloom. Serene, almost. 12 Peaks had the best bathrooms, a speakeasy, and the best food. It's also the largest area of the three. We tried to go here as much as possible for food and bathroom trips. Can't really speak to much in the GA areas this time, besides the street food alley was a cool addition since my last visit, and we enjoyed visiting the speakeasies. They are in AC and the drinks are good--definitely check them out next time if you haven't. We tried all except the Sabrina Carpenter one (line was way too long). I also love the GA Indio Central Market, with all the shade and food options available in one place. Awesome to see Block Party serving drinks this year. I honestly didn't see myself going to Coachella again this soon, but I'm glad I did. I don't want to say that we definitely won't go again as soon as next year...but I guess we will just have to wait and see the lineup.

Leaving this review I understand my circumstances are different than some and their complaints I can't speak to per se. I didn't need to take a shuttle, I expect food to be pricy so I eat beforehand (almost every venue or festival for music I've been to the food is not priced at a normal rate), I wasn't camping here, and I don't expect a festival or their staff to somehow be able to control desert weather?! Some of these complaints on here are weird. lol. Their experiences are valid but also a lot of these things with better planning or some sense could likely be mitigated, at least that's how I felt after reading them. Maybe I am just too logical? The polo grounds are great, large enough to accommodate these massive crowds and it's a good location as it neighbors La Quinta, Indio, and Coachella giving you variety of areas you could stay if you are traveling. I'm impressed with how many parking lots they have here and with 80,000 people attending I'm not sure how people wouldn't think there would be some walking involved? You can't get that many people and their vehicles, shuttles, and alternative rides all close enough to park and just walk right into a venue. I felt their parking setup was pretty successful if you brought your own car but I understand the shuttles had massive lines and that's unfortunate. I feel like overall the staff are very friendly and nice here. These festivals bring jobs to the community and while you definitely get a variety of workers from all walks of life, I felt my interactions were 98% very positive. So many staff just with a smile on their faces, asking you to get home safe, and thanking you for coming as you walk out, that's a nice touch. I saw staff everywhere I turned and they seemed to have a good handle on things between the security, vendors, and even trash cleanup crews I felt they did a good job. The lineup this year was really great, some hits and misses as will happen but for the most part I was impressed with the headliners. My personal opinion was that Post Malone and Morgan Wallen were some of the best this year, brought good energy and the sound came across really good on my end. I loved the merch options and the ability to buy items ahead of time. The app for the phone was also super handy and I like the organization it helps create when planning your trip. Lastly, the VIP and upgraded wristbands were a must in my opinion. Worth the money I felt as you had better access to restrooms, food stalls, drinks, and of course close to the stage and more room. Stagecoach was great, definitely a music festival worth coming to 100%.

Fantastic Pre-Season Soccer in Palm Desert…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we had a GREAT TIME!! The Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament is pre-season soccer for men (MLS) and women (NWSL), played at the Empire Polo Club in February each year. We have visited Palm Desert for many years, and have visited before and after the tournament the past couple years, but have missed attending; thankfully schedules aligned this year. After watching previous games on YouTube, this year we got to be there in person! The tournament's site offers some challenges on finding General Admission tickets; after some time we found that the Los Angeles Galaxy (LAG) were managing the tickets; a quick call with Miguel, who was very helpful, and we soon had our tickets in the app ready to be there for the soccer. Thanks, Miguel!! Parking for soccer was easy to find based on the online map and following the signs. For food, under the semi-permanent tent they have food trucks and an open bar. Here is little shade on the fields; some palm trees in the corners offer a place to cool off; otherwise if the skies are clear, the Palm Desert sun will provide copious doses of Vitamin D to lift your spirits. DJ Alf Alpha provided dance tubes all day and there were various soccer skills for fans to participate in. Even when the weather is not as nice as it was for us, this is still a great facility, with low humidity. Fun fact... the Salton Sea is the second lowest point in the US, after Badwater Basin / Death Valley; if I calculated correctly, the Empire Polo Club elevation is 5-20 feet. Thank you to everyone who makes the Coachella Valley Invitational possible! As Major League Soccer transitions its season to match the rest of the world, and to spread across two years, but no soccer in cold Jan/Fen nor hot July/Aug, we hope you'll continue the tournament as a mid-season break tourney. ----- ----- -----

I've been for others things. The dog show, for instance. It's a nice outdoor space. There are areas that are very rich in foliage and give plenty of shade. The staff has always been nice and helpful, from the parking people to the security and cashiers, I've never have anyone be ambivalent. Food is, well, epic expensive. If you plan to spend $30 on food and $10 on drinks, you can get by. Beer was not outrageous though, which was a surprise. I definitely recommend going. Parking has always been easy. Some events it's free parking, others it costs, so plan ahead.
