If you're looking for the best drag brunch in Palm Springs, stop scrolling. Cancel the…read moreinvestigation. Alert the authorities. One Eleven Bar has won. Their drag brunch hosted by Morgan McMichaels is ICONIC. And I do not use "iconic" lightly. I reserve that word for Cher, air conditioning in Palm Springs, and bottomless mimosas. Morgan is hands down one of the best illusionists out there and quite possibly the perfect drag brunch host. Hilarious, quick, effortlessly entertaining, and somehow able to command a room while looking better than everyone in it. Frankly, it's rude. The entire show was fantastic. Great performers, great energy, and none of that "I paid how much for two songs and an egg?" feeling you sometimes get at drag brunches. This is easily the best value for your money in Palm Springs. You actually get a SHOW. One Eleven has figured out the formula: Morgan McMichaels + talented queens + cocktails + brunch + Palm Springs = gay mathematics at its finest. I've seen plenty of drag shows, and this one is at the top of the list. Come for brunch, stay for Morgan, tip the queens, and leave wondering why every Sunday of your life doesn't involve sequins and someone doing a death drop within 15 feet of your breakfast. Five stars. No notes. Except maybe: MORE MORGAN.

Of course this place never disappoints. I didn't know that they had a drag show Sunday night. Drag brunch on the weekend they have. We would usually go to the one Friday night. Unless it's for the long weekend or we just didn't know. Anyways it was amazing. It was crowded but not overly packed which was great for getting a seat. I've been where it was standing room only. Still fun but better to have a seat while the show is going on. Vanity Halston, and her dolls are the best. I haven't been to much drag show in the desert but let me say, it's AMAZING here. Friday night is alway a good time and now Sunday, it was a night of fun and fabulousnesses. The dolls were outstanding with their looks and music choices. They all can get the crowd going. Make sure to have the bills ready for the ladies. Also drinks are alway great here. Depending on the night, drinks specials are offered. Plus their happy hour is fantastic as it goes on for a couple hours versus two or three at other places. They do have different events for the week but Friday is normally when we stop by for drinks and a show. Also Monday is great as it's martini Monday. If your here for the show, reservations is recommended if you wanted a table or hi top seating. It does get pretty crowded so open seating is very limited at the bar counter. It's always a fun time had here. Vanity is amazing and the dolls, it just a fun night out. I need to check out drag brunch with them soon. The best in Cathedral City.

I've been for others things. The dog show, for instance. It's a nice outdoor space. There are areas that are very rich in foliage and give plenty of shade. The staff has always been nice and helpful, from the parking people to the security and cashiers, I've never have anyone be ambivalent. Food is, well, epic expensive. If you plan to spend $30 on food and $10 on drinks, you can get by. Beer was not outrageous though, which was a surprise. I definitely recommend going. Parking has always been easy. Some events it's free parking, others it costs, so plan ahead.

Fantastic Pre-Season Soccer in Palm Desert…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we had a GREAT TIME!! The Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament is pre-season soccer for men (MLS) and women (NWSL), played at the Empire Polo Club in February each year. We have visited Palm Desert for many years, and have visited before and after the tournament the past couple years, but have missed attending; thankfully schedules aligned this year. After watching previous games on YouTube, this year we got to be there in person! The tournament's site offers some challenges on finding General Admission tickets; after some time we found that the Los Angeles Galaxy (LAG) were managing the tickets; a quick call with Miguel, who was very helpful, and we soon had our tickets in the app ready to be there for the soccer. Thanks, Miguel!! Parking for soccer was easy to find based on the online map and following the signs. For food, under the semi-permanent tent they have food trucks and an open bar. Here is little shade on the fields; some palm trees in the corners offer a place to cool off; otherwise if the skies are clear, the Palm Desert sun will provide copious doses of Vitamin D to lift your spirits. DJ Alf Alpha provided dance tubes all day and there were various soccer skills for fans to participate in. Even when the weather is not as nice as it was for us, this is still a great facility, with low humidity. Fun fact... the Salton Sea is the second lowest point in the US, after Badwater Basin / Death Valley; if I calculated correctly, the Empire Polo Club elevation is 5-20 feet. Thank you to everyone who makes the Coachella Valley Invitational possible! As Major League Soccer transitions its season to match the rest of the world, and to spread across two years, but no soccer in cold Jan/Fen nor hot July/Aug, we hope you'll continue the tournament as a mid-season break tourney. ----- ----- -----

Events sometimes need to be canceled, but customers deserve timely communication and prompt refunds. I expected much better from Oscar's, especially as someone who had been a loyal customer. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and failure to issue the promised refund have changed my opinion of this business. Also I don't get it this business is always closed.

The long weekend is here and it definitely showed. After dinner, a wander through Arena area and…read moredrinks was on the itinerary. Literally everyone was out tonight which is good to see. I think the last time it was packed with lines trying to get into all the bars had to have been pride back in November. Or whenever there's an event or king weekend. The area does get pretty busy during the weekend but add a long weekend, it's on. There was a line when we arrived which was just about 9. Compared to all the other bars in the area, this is a video bar versus your clubbing and sort. There's no dance floor. They do have a little stage when karaoke night is going on but daily, it's just a a fun video bar showing all the classics and fun showtunes and musicals. I feel like it could be the start for people for the night with a drink here before heading to the other bars where dancing is available. Line didn't take long, maybe five minutes or so. But once you got inside, it was packed. The only downfall about this establishment, there's not enough bartenders. Usually it's 2/3 working at a time. But when it's packed, you know it can get a little cramped in line...lol... they do have high top towards the back and along the side which they were all utilized. Bar seating is also available but personally for me, it's a bit too cramped as people are literally behind you waiting to order. A nice patio that looks out to the strip so it's perfect for people watching. Also tv are outside as well for the show tunes. Decent amount of cushion seats there as well as some high top tables. The place is fun, not a party scene but if you're into showtunes and musical, it your party scenes. Plus, I love the crowd participation whenever a certain video comes on. A fun bar that's worth checking out. Downfall, restroom line tends to take a while. There's two room but just like any other bar, there's always a wait.

They're everywhere, and they're a big reason the city feels as fun and open as it does. Quadz, right off Arenas Road, is one of those places that clearly has its crowd. One of my closest friends is gay and proudly so, and he brings me here often. I can see why. It's easy, relaxed, and doesn't try too hard. This is not a dance club. It's more of a starting point for the night. You come here first, have a few drinks, settle into the vibe, and then decide where to go next. The drinks are affordable, which never hurts, and people are actually social instead of just staring at their phones. They do karaoke, and it's a mix of everything. Some nights it's locals getting up there, other nights there are hired performers singing throwback 80s songs. In the background, old MTV-style music videos are always playing, which gives the whole place a nostalgic, slightly chaotic charm. I had to laugh when I saw my Yelp bestie, Alex K. from Los Angeles, has written six reviews for Quadz. That alone tells you something. For a lot of people, this is the spot. After spending time here, I get it. It's not about being flashy. It's about being consistent, welcoming, and just plain fun.

I'm sorry to say that the food was an expensive disappointment. I had the Orange chicken and spring rolls. And I had not had carbs in several months so was supper excited. Unfortunately the spring rolls were ice cold on the inside, and the Orange chicken was just not very good. Frankly it all tasted like it was straight out of the frozen food section. And for $38 for the orange chicken I really wouldn't recommend. I wanted to give the food another shot during my stay, but turned out the kitchen wasn't open on weekdays. The entertainment for the evening was a gentleman singing karaoke. He did have a terrific jazz voice. It's a super cute space and has a lot of potential.

It seemed all over the place AND very expensive for what you get. I started with a blackberry martini which the waiter proceeded to try to put on the table in a fancy way and ended up spilling half of it. It wasn't very good anyway. We didn't get bread to start, but noticed other tables getting it. My mom got the italian pizza for $16, so I expected it to be a big one. Instead, it was a personal sized one, which was really crumby and had no flavor. I got the prosciutto tortellini. The tortellini had good cheese, but the prosciutto made it very salty, and the chunks seemed kind of off. My dad got the lasagna and he was pretty happy with it. The show itself was pretty fun but had a weird vibe at the same time. Don't think we'll be back.
