This was a big plus as I was a newbe and didn't know anyone. I really enjoyed with people on different skill levels. The park and lots of other activities going. I semi-anticipated this because it's Spring, lots of tourists and concert goers in town but we were still a bit disappointed that so early it was hard to find a court. The courts themselves are very nice though I will give them that. 5 stars for being nicely painted and maintained. They also had a lot of courts and clear signage as to experience level and offerings on which court should certain level of players play on. Another nice note is they had plenty of shaded seating for watchers and waiters so that's appreciated in the hot sun. The reasons I docked a star were primarily for parking availability and also there could be nicer little perks added. With parking we thought it was odd that they have so many reserved parking permit spots? On a Friday morning only 1 of those permit special spots were being used and the other 15 or so were just open, yet we couldn't park there. Parking was scarce given all of the players which resulted in many parking on the street which didn't make as much sense to me. Also we didn't notice paddle holders for pickleball which all of our local courts have. There's no easy way to navigate who is next to play without those nice visible paddle holders on the courts. We watched players line their paddles all across the ground which seemed kind of unnecessary as those little holders could easily be purchased by parks and rec given how nice these courts appear to be. If there were paddle holders their either wasn't enough or they weren't easy to see given how many paddles were lined up across the floor. Again, not trying to be overly critical but this just seems like a really nice pickleball court and there are some small little upgrades that they could make to ensure this spot is more accessible and up to date. Otherwise, we really liked this area and would happily play here again, keeping these courts on my radar and liked the location from where we stay and the downtown area.

Right from the start, Park Ranger T.T. set the tone for our stay. T.T. greeted us with genuine warmth and friendliness, took care of the check-in process smoothly (license, registration, and insurance), and then went above and beyond by making sure we had clear driving directions so we'd be perfectly set up and facing the right way. That thoughtful attention made arrival stress-free--what a great way to start a trip! Then came the big surprise: brand-new 30/50 AMP pedestals and all the hard work that's gone into site repairs and upgrades. WoW--fantastic! It's obvious that a lot of care and effort has been invested in making the park more comfortable and convenient for guests. We also love how T.T. took our number and has been sending just the right amount of text updates about current and upcoming events--helpful without being overwhelming. It makes us feel connected and part of the fun. And of course, we know it's not just T.T., but the entire team working behind the scenes to keep this resort running so smoothly. You can tell why this park consistently earns 5-star ratings--they've earned it! We couldn't be happier with our return to Thousand Trails Palm Springs. From the friendly faces to the upgrades to the little touches that make you feel welcome, it's an RV resort that just keeps getting better. We'll definitely be back again and again!

One service that sets PDTC apart is that pros are available about every day, and help organize games for you. Tell Melanie your level and when you want to play and she can find you a game. "I'm in town and would like to play Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9. I'm a 4.0 and would like to play men's doubles." You can probably get a pretty good game organized. After a few days you might be able to build up a network of local players at your level. There is also a group of advanced players 4.5 and up, which can be harder to find. They also have pickleball if you like that sort of thing. The homes are comfortable condos arranged in groups of 20 units surrounding a pool and hot tub. You're close to El Paseo and the dining and shopping options of Palm Desert so you have a good location going for you here also.

There was only one shower available and this didn't have a privacy curtain; but I showered anyway, naked. After a few minutes one of the female employees stood next to the shower and told me that next time i need to keep my swimsuit on during showering, because there are children around in the female changing room. This statement was somehow confusing for me and i told her that it is very unhygienic and unhealthy to not shower naked before and after using a pool. She pointed out that i can't shower naked in the facilities of a public pool and left. I started rushing to finish showering, but only a few seconds later another woman in the changing room started screaming at me! She screamed: "This is not cute! You can't shower naked here. I don't want my children to see your b*bs and va*na!" I stayed calm and left the shower as fast as possible; i grabbed my towel and wanted to change into my clothes but the woman walked over to me, stood very close in front of me and screamed again: "I am going to sl*p you!! We are in the USA! Go into the restroom for changing!" At this point i was really scared and terrified, because she was extremly agressive. From all the screaming the employee, who talked to me first had come into the room and witnessed the woman threa*ing me to sl*p me; a few seconds later the manager walked in. Both told me to go into the restroom for changing and the manager offered me to walk me to my car, so i can leave safely. Somehow the focus was more on me showering naked than the woman threa*ning me. I pointed out to the manager, that it would be at least fair, to tell the woman that it is not ok to thr*ten someone! I mean a female changing room should be a place where every woman can feel safe! So i went for changing into the restroom and she talked to the woman and walked me to my car. At the parking lot i told the manager that i am really afraid of that woman and very confused about the situation, because for me it is just the very normal thing to shower naked before and after going to a pool and something like this never happened to me before and California is the eighth state of the USA i am travelling through. She explained to me that it is not allowed to shower naked in a public pool in California, unless there is someting like a curtain etc. covering the shower area. I asked what they are going to do, because of the woman's behaviour and she said if that woman is threa*ning someone again, she is going to get a mark for her name. After this i was really convinced that people in California don't shower naked before and after using the pool and that this seems to be a cultural thing. Only two days later i met a woman, who happened to work as a lifeguard in California and i told her my story. She couldn't believe what had happened and that i was treated so badly! She actually let me know that it is indeed encouraged that people shower before and after using a public pool- for hygienic and health reasons. It is the duty of the pool to even point this out to the visitors and provide proper facilities, including a shower curtain or something similar. Also the employee and manager handled the situation very badly; in California it is considered a crime to threaten someone, even when that person doesn't physically harm the other one- so the employees should have called the police right away, especially when one of them witnessed the woman threatening me. I can just highly recommend to everybody to avoid this pool and drive a few extra miles, because there are plenty of pools around in the area. It is very alarming for me that i can obviously not feel safe in the female changing room of the Pawley Pool. This should be a safe environment for a woman everywhere!
