It's now December 2025, I've moved away from Tucson. A plastic plug to the Leer fuse box broke. This is NOT covered under warranty, especially since I've had the topper for nearly a decade. I called up AZ Truck Outfitters, and Dave was eager to help me out. He found the exact part I needed, and he mailed it to my house FREE OF CHARGE. I've worked with a few Leer dealers over the years, none of them compare to the top notch service that I have always received from AZ Truck Outfitters. When you buy a topper from AZ Truck Outfitters, know that they have your back. You are a valued customer for life.

Along with a kicker amp that i had in hand. i had no wiring, and the only other two items i had to give was an LC1i converter and a kicker bass knob. Now i do want to start off by saying that when i came in, i had the intentions of only coming out with having some good bass in the car, but tested my luck and had them replace my stock amplifier on top of the one being put in for the subs due to the fact that the tweeters and bass alone in this car sounds like complete sh!t from factory. Now i say i tested my luck only cuz they mentioned to me that they have never tried to do anything on a volkswagen's stock tweeters/speakers and them being so damn low in sound. So me and Roman (the guy who helped me out) decided to, again like i mentioned, test my luck and see if maybe replacing that stock amp would make a difference in sound quality and loudness on top of the subs being put in. I can't express enough how happy i came out this shop today. Not only do i have good a$$ bass, but now my stock speakers r stupidly loud and on top of everything, wiring and setup looks flawless. and ima be real, im picky asf but i genuinely see nothing out of place, no wires sticking out, no panels broken no scratches, nothing!! everything came out perfect. it did take about 7-8 hours, but definitely 100% worth the wait. 10/10 and 5 stars!!!

I looked for the nearest auto shop and thankfully this one was only about 30 yards away. It was a Friday afternoon and the shop was busy, but seeing that I was from out of town and on my way home with a wife and 3 very young kids they said they would try their best to get us on road so we wouldn't have to spend the night in a hotel. The manager, Bryan, and asst. mgr, Eric, stayed past closing with one of the mechanics trying to figure out why the car wasn't running after fixing the obvious problems. After some time they told us that unfortunately they wouldn't be able to get it solved that evening but would have to keep looking at it the next morning and we'd need to spend the night in a hotel. Bryan called a hotel for us to make a reservation. It happened to be the one I would have chosen myself (I was already looking on my phone in the event that we had to stay the night, and didn't want to be "recommended" a hotel that was more than I was willing to pay). Then he and Eric told us we could grab whatever we needed from the car, and put our 3 car seats in their vehicles and they would drive the 5 of us over to the hotel themselves! Not your typical customer service (I was just thinking about the logistics of getting our kids and car seats into an Uber ...). When we got to the hotel Bryan came in with us just to check at the front desk and ensure they had the reservation he made for us over the phone, which they did. Then they told us that we could leave the kids' car seats in their vehicles and they'd come pick us up the following day! The next morning Bryan called to let me know that on further inspection the electrical problem in the van did appear to ruin one of the computers and so the computer would have to be replaced. Unfortunately, while they could replace the computer in their shop, they don't have the capability there to reprogram it. So, he made a few calls trying to find a place that would have the equipment AND be able to fit us in before they closed. Keep in mind this is Saturday morning--just about the worst/busiest time to try to get something fixed. He said he did find a shop that he's worked with before that could squeeze us in, so our van would be towed over there. To make a long story short, our car was eventually fixed and running Saturday afternoon, so they came and picked us up again and we were able to go home that evening. Our van took up a bunch of their mechanics' hours and it took some logistics on their part in working with the other shop to get it running before the end of the day Saturday. Bryan and Eric (as well as the mechanics) were extremely helpful to us and doing all that they could to get our family back on the road as quickly as they could. Being from out of town (and being the weekend), they could have easily taken advantage of our situation and charged us way more than they did (after all, what other options did we have??). But instead, they were very sympathetic, went way beyond any normal expectation of "good customer service" (who calls hotels to make arrangements for their customers and then drives them with their kids in car seats in their personal vehicles?) and gave great rates to help minimize our cost with all that was needed on our van. Even after we were on our way home, Bryan called me just to ensure that everything was working properly and there were no problems. I can also say, in response to some of the negative reviews, I purchased 2 tires here and what they charged me for those after tax and everything, was about $40 LESS than the total would have been at Discount Tire (that's NOT including Discount Tire's road hazard certificates). All in all I was very impressed with their service as well as their rates and would highly recommend them to anyone. Hopefully I won't need their help in the future, but if my car breaks down in Tucson ever again they'll have my business!
