This location is usually not very busy, so they are able to help you with questions about each sofa. I ended up going with one that I thought would be perfect for my new space, but after a few months it ended up still being too firm for me. I reached out to them and was able to return the couch even though it was a few months later. I decided to try out some of their other couch options and found a different one that I loved, so they were able to take the first couch when they delivered the second couch. The couch I selected the second time around, The Metro Sofa (Deep), is seriously the most comfortable couch ever and everyone who visits me comments on it being insanely comfortable. Obviously not cheap, but worth it for something you use as much as a couch.

For us in particular the aesthetic of many of what they sell fit perfectly in our Eichler (Mid-Century modern) home. We were pleased to find a new shelving system there. We have tried for some time to find a Wegener shelving system. However, the ridiculous prices for this iconic bit of mid century modern is beyond out means. However, they now make a modern version. The sales person and I spent a bit talking about Wegener's designs and we went on our way. This is a smaller R&B but the service we have come to expect is the exact same as we have experienced in the San Francisco store. Unobtrusive and helpful is the best description. Unlike other places where you are almost stalked, you can roam and contemplate to your hearts content

It actually only needed a small repair and they refused to replace the small plastic part that broke, even with me offering to complete the repair myself, because it was past the 12-month warranty. Instead they said we needed to spend more than $1k to replace a "frame" that the plastic part connects to. They didn't go to bat for us with the manufacturer to try to get a replacement part despite us having spent more than $12k with them over the past four years. I'm surprised to see another recent review saying that they apparently acted differently and were willing to "stand behind" a 3-year-old table that broke. Again, the furniture itself is very attractive. If durability and service aren't as important to you, and this is a comfortable amount of money for you to spend, then it's probably fine.
