They've made me feel so comfortable & are so easy when it comes to scheduling. I've seen a few different drs and I can't say anything I disliked about any of them. Highly recommend this place.

If you want an office that will actually care about you and treat you like an individual and not be seen by robots, do NOT go here. We recently moved to the east valley and needed a new OB as I have a high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical history. I explained to them on the phone if this was someone their office could handle and I needed to see an OB not a nurse or a midwife due to the complications of my pregnancy. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and "doctor's " visit. The front desk seemed more concerned about their nails and hair than doing their job. I had to redo the same paperwork 3 times because the girl upfront kept deleting it. The ultrasound tech was rude and just seemed annoyed we were there. She has zero personality. While the medical assistant was extremely nice; she did not seem to know what was going on; her nails were longer than her fingers which don't seem professional in a medical setting or even sanitary & she was chewing gum with her mouth open as she spoke to us twirling her hair and ignoring most of what I was saying. I was seen not by a doctor but a nurse; she 100% ignored my questions and concerns. I was then told thy were not going to do anything but have me come back because " we don't even know if you have a viable pregnancy " I was 6 days earlier than we thought and instead of being professional she was rude and heartless. This causes so much unnecessary stress. We got TWO second options that same week and they BOTH agreed the due date would be moved and baby was healthy and growing and there was NO reason to say what she said especially since I am still nursing and there is zero way to know the exact date of conception. When I told her what she said " no you HAVE to be this far along and you're just not matching that " It causes so much unnecessary stress but the way the entire appointment was handled was unprofessional and has zero human compassion. The only reason that I even stopped to wright this review was because the front desk called me today to verify that I canceled my apt. When I said yes I decided to go with an office with better bedside manner her response was " oh yeah that TOTALLY makes sense " and laughed and hung up.

All providers and staff remained the same as it was all branches of the overall practice. It is a large building and located in Suite 314. It is not very clear in the directory, but you will take the elevator to the 3rd floor. I found immediately once exiting the elevator. Everything looked new and maintained well, so I can see why they transitioned to this office. Upon check in, you will be directed to take a urine sample typically and then take a seat in the lobby as you await to be taken to a room. The bathroom is on the right hand side after the desk. It is much farther back than you realize, and don't want you entering the wrong room! Especially since there is a room labeled L and M, which I initially thought could be Ladies and Men. Oops! The lobby is spacious and seats 20+ people. The chairs are spacious if you wanted to spread out as Covid is still prevalent at times, plus any nasty bugs going around. I personally like to social distance though this is a normal practice to come in sick sick. Overall, it was pretty comfortable while you wait and I did enjoy the third level views from the windows that bring in natural light. As for the type of care and care quality, I must say they have some exceptional staff!!! Donna Bouley N.P. was absolutely amazing this visit! Extremely thorough in reviewing family history, my chart, and tailoring prescription to exactly what I need. She also advocated for me to be able to schedule and see a surgeon for a consult for something I've been trying to advocate for myself for over a decade. Truly appreciative of the care received at this office this week, and all the past visits as they diagnosed a tumor and have been great monitoring it. I cannot recommend them enough!

I should start out by saying that I received good care from Dr. Holmes and his staff, and delivered…read morea healthy baby girl by C-section, which he skillfully performed. However, here are the things I wish I had known before I chose him as my provider: There were times during my labor and delivery that he didn't know who I was. He kept confusing me with other patients. This was entertaining in some instances and not in others - for example, when he confused me with someone else who under no circumstances wanted a C-section. My baby's heart was in distress, my own heart (with a documented and discussed history of arrhythmia) was tachycardic, my water had ruptured more than 30 hours before (a month prematurely), I was running a temperature, and I was only dilated to a 2, and yet *I* had to be the one to bring up the possibility of a C-section. He was shocked when I did, because he thought I was vehemently against surgical intervention. This, despite the fact that two days before at my 35 week appointment, we literally shook hands that he would lean toward C-section if things went south. Another instance of him not knowing who I was: my water broke at midnight, so I called the answering service. They took my name and gestational age, and within a minute I was speaking to the doctor who informed me to head to Banner Gateway. I saw him the next morning, where he looked at my chart and expressed surprise that I was only 35 weeks pregnant. This could have been dangerous if my baby had been any more premature than she was, as Banner Gateway isn't as well equipped to take care of premature babies as Banner Desert is. Even if the answering service failed to tell him my weeks of gestation, shouldn't he have asked? Or shouldn't he have remembered, considering I saw him 12 hours before that phone call, at my 35 week appointment? At first I thought it was neat that he spent so much time with his patients and that he does all the ultrasounds personally. But ultimately what that means is that he and his staff are over-extended, and you WILL wait at each appointment; possibly up to an hour. I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't just hire an ultrasound tech to re-distribute some of the work, because lord knows the man has plenty of demand. (I even had a hospital staff member say to me incredulously, "He sure delivers a lot of babies...") I assume he just doesn't want to pay another staff member, but the entire practice suffers as a result, and it doesn't look good for him. Tip: If you choose him as your provider, get into the habit of asking for the very first appointment of the morning. (And even then, you might have a wait, depending on how his early-morning rounds at the hospital go. But it's your best hope.) The ultrasound equipment is ancient; forget about seeing clear images of your baby. You'll be lucky if you can make out a spine or a head. My best friend was pregnant at the same time as me and the difference between our ultrasound photo keepsakes makes me sad. I had no concept of my daughter's face or profile before she was born. The office itself is very old and tired and decorated like an 80's Relief Society room. There's a Book of Mormon in the lobby. (I'm even Mormon but found that off-putting.) At my first appointment, they gave me a little trinket that I got the strong impression was intended to be distributed in the parking lots of Planned Parenthood clinics - a pin showing you the size of your baby's feet at 10 weeks, and I think there was a scripture? If I recall correctly? All of this to say, I did not get the impression that the doctor would be supportive of all of a woman's options and rights when it comes to pregnancy. At my six week follow up, he talked about prescribing me a birth control pill that could have caused my milk to dry up. Luckily I was informed enough to know that as a nursing mother I needed a pill without estrogen - but if I hadn't known that, it could have been disastrous to my milk supply. Also, as soon as I left my six week follow up, I realized he never cleared me for sex! I thought that was the whole point of the six week appointment!! It was never mentioned. I don't plan to have any more children, but if that changes, I won't be seeing Dr. Holmes again. He's a very nice man and his team is as wonderful as all the reviews say (Alejandra in particular is a true gem), but everything considered I cannot recommend the practice.

Not perfect but not to bad either. The last time we were there for what seemed like an eternity for a simple visit plus they started telling my girl her blood pressure was so high she might have a stroke when it was the things they did leading up to that that probably caused the spike. This time, a simple visit and minor outpatient procedure, and we were actually out of there way before I expected. The doctor and nurses my girl dealt with this time did a great job and even the anesthesiologist did a much better job only having to stick her arm once to find the vein. I think this visit warrants her to give them the opportunity to continue as her doctors office and even the front reception specialists were awesome. The office is really clean and nice plus they have lots of seating and even tables, chairs, and high tops, to sit at and use your laptop if you want or just have tables to put your stuff down on. They have TV's and even a little kids area. They even have a med-spa inside! Really nice.

While they have a central number, no one picks up as a method to discourage patients from calling and instead using their texting system. Being pregnant more importantly having a high risk pregnancy and not being able to contact anyone through the central number or specific office extensions is so discouraging and frustrating for expecting mothers. We cannot be expected to text our appointments and concerns. We need to speak to an actual person to feel as though our services are being cared for. It's a disgrace the way their services are given. I went in for one ultrasound, my tech Teresa and she had terrible bedside manners and would alter office policies to her own discretion. I also arrived at the required time of 7:15am, and the office doors were locked. I tried to contact someone but of course, you're not able to speak with anyone there. In addition, Teresa took it upon herself to schedule my next ultra sound as opposed to verifying with my physician when the next one should actually be. The front desk also was clueless as to when my future appointments should be scheduled even though the order was given to them. It's a shameful way to provide care to individuals that are expecting. I canceled my services here and went to AMOMI for all my services. AMOMI gave me the luxury of speaking to a person, and had wonderful ultrasound techs. Being in healthcare myself, I understand the importance of patient advocacy and care and I would definitely not recommend this place for any healthcare services. Their are plenty of other healthcare offices providing the same services. I would switch immediately!

Unfortunately, I do find some issues with how New Horizons operates. They're pretty pushy about their advertising for semaglutides for weight loss and I get emails seemingly every month about it. It's great that patients have options, but I'm not enthused about the implications for many of their patients who are also often there for their pregnancies. They also started pushing for AI for their services. AI can be a great tool when used well, but they seem to be using it to fix something that isn't broken. As other reviewers have stated, it has become a hindrance rather than convenience for setting up appointments. You can set up an appointment online however without AI if you're an existing patient. Moreover, they seem to be pushing for patient volume rather than giving enough balance for timely care per patient appointment. In medical settings, setbacks often happen, which I can sympathize with. I don't mind having to wait. However, every single time I've been here, I've always had to wait at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Perhaps if they were able to have more staff on hand or stagger the appointments out more, it'll help patients feel less rushed. It would also help the doctors and nurses also be less overworked. Their online portal is mostly easy to navigate and I have had no issues sending questions and getting prompt responses through their messaging system. I also get my lab results within a week. Overall I love and appreciate the staff here, but I'm not too keen on how their overhead for the business operates and the business decisions they've been making in the last year. It's making me question whether I want to continue coming here despite the excellent staff. I hope they can reconsider and be more mindful of what they choose to push for and stand by.
