When I needed to go out of town for an emergency, I really needed some place that could take care of my elderly shepherd with hip issues. I'm still new to the Hesperia area, and didn't know where to look. I did an online search and found a couple of places to check out. I set out on a rainy day with my dog in tow to check out two of the places I had found in my search. One of the places, which after doing an "evaluation", flat out refused to board my dog. The other was warm and inviting on a cold rainy day.
Desert Dog Boarding allowed me and my shepherd to tour their facility. I should say their home, as Tira runs her boarding facility out of their home. My dog, Cali, requires being lifted with a sling to take care of relieving herself. Seeing that Cali would require additional care, Tira didn't hesitate to step up. She showed me and my dog around her spotless home, and the rooms where Cali would be in addition to the yard where Cali would do her business. Tira couldn't have done more to set my mind at ease, which was why I chose Desert Dog Boarding.
I was completely worried that my senior dog wouldn't understand why her dad was dropping her off at someone else's house, but Cali's stay couldn't have gone better. Tira sent me pictures and updates starting that very first night. She fit right in with the other dogs and loved being included in what was going on around her - just hanging out with the other dogs in the yard during the day or watching TV at night with the family. I could just tell that everything was working out, and that I had one less thing to worry about while Cali was in Tira's care.
I highly recommend Desert Dog Boarding (they also do day care) for yours and your fur baby's needs. read more
