A lot of people have money to throw around which is great.... But I actually saved up between my bday and Mother's Day. I'm not being salty about this, but I paid over 1,000 dollars and was let down. I'm looking out for other clients/patients. Yes I smoke, but am 43 and have had this done since I was 25,yrs old. I want nothing for free. I just wanted what I paid for. Blame me for smoking when I healed from spinal surgery just fine, which was in February of this year. I'm not going back. Just looking out for other that should get what was they paid for. No matter how well I took care of my skin this summer I had very dehydrated skin by the end of the summer, most likely because of a lot of traveling . Alvina was amazing , very knowledgeable and every step of the facial was simply perfect . I've had a lot of facials to distinguish if the service I am getting is great or not . I usually get worried when someone touches my face , I can't relax. But this session was ultra relaxing , I trusted her from the moment she touched my skin , which never happened to me before . About the facial : My skin modified immediately right after the treatment . My skin is hydrated again ruffness went away and it felt light and clean . I tried to make an appt to see Dr. Brownell for myself, my daughter and my mother. The receptionist…read moredid not return my email requests or voicemails. It took numerous attempts to get an appt booked. I only persisted at that point because I had gift certificates. By the way....this facility added sales tax to the certificates. For those of you who aren't aware, according to the CT State Dept of Revenue services, gift certificates are not subject to sales tax. Once we arrived at the appt, the receptionist did not properly schedule the service my daughter was looking for so there was no time after a one hour drive! When checking out, I paid with my credit card for me and my daughter. Neither, me, my Mom or my daughter were given a receipt. When we got home that day, we all contacted the receptionist and asked for our receipts. The receptionist then told me my credit card charge didn't go through (even though it did). I had evidence of this on my credit card statement. She said she would have to speak to Craig, the doctors husband who doubles as office manager. Craig contacted me the following week wanting my credit card number again! I declined and sent him the screen shot that my card was charged. About a week after receiving Botox, it set in with horrible results. My face was crooked. I sent Craig a picture. He said he would show it to Dr. Brownell and she would call me immediately. She never did. He also said he would email me a gift certificate as an apology. He never did. I have the text streams of these conversations with him as proof. After not hearing from Dr. Brownell regarding the terrible results, I decided to file a dispute. I needed to go to another practitioner to fix what she did. This facility has responded to the dispute with a pack of lies. Here they are: 1) They are saying I was rude and aggressive to the receptionist. Not true. I was more than patient given the receptionist was not competent in any of her interactions with me. 2) They are saying Dr. Brownell called me 2 times to discuss the bad results. Not true. 3) They are saying I blocked their number. Again, not true. 4) They sent a picture to the credit card company of my forehead without squinting indicating that the treatment was successful. This is misleading as Botox can take at least a week to kick in. 5) They have the audacity to accuse me of "Theft of Medical Services" which is a "larceny". Shame on Dr. Brownell or perhaps it was her narcissistic husband for stooping this low. I was unhappy with results and she never called to discuss so after a couple of weeks of waiting I filed a dispute. That makes me a thief? How unprofessional! The above-mentioned visit I've described was a comedy of errors from beginning to end. For the high prices they charge, clients should certainly be able to expect to have a pleasurable experience. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Front desk, techs, etc Friendly, always accommodating during tests. I have never had an issue until yesterday. I was at Diagnostic Imaging of Southbury for a CAT Scan. I was called into the back by who I thought was a tech , expecting to go to the scan room. Instead this woman takes me to a small office with a black curtain hiding about 2/3 of the room, closes the door and starts talking to me about genetic testing, and gives me a brochure. She was not a tech from Diagnostic Imaging but rather a " salesperson" for HALO, an outside company selling genetic testing. I was confused and told her I was there for a CAT Scan. She proceeded to tell me I would get the Scan, then come back to her office for testing. I was more confused and getting upset. This was nothing I knew about. I then asked her if it was covered by insurance. Only then did she tell me that my Medicare or Medicaid doesn't cover it. I wanted nothing to do with this, but she put me on a waiting list if Medicaid ever approves it. Then she took me out of her office and led me to the inside waiting room to wait for my Scan. I am appalled, surprised and upset that NVRA/ Diagnostic Imaging allows this type of propaganda. This is a medical facility not home depot where all the outside sales people bother you. I find this absolutely unacceptable and almost unethical. HALO no doubt pays some kind rent but this type of scam should not be allowed. Patients come to the facility for doctor ordered tests. If genetic testing is ordered by a doctor and performed by Diagnostic Imaging staff, fine. Otherwise, don't try to push it on unaware Patients, some of whom may not know better and just wind up paying for this scam. If I want outside testing such as Lifeline Screening That is my choice to make and knowingly sign up and pay for. I hope NVRA/ Diagnostic Imaging ceases this terrible practice. Mark D.
