Derek Ostovani, the Magic Man, is an amazing magician. I first saw him at a party doing strolling magic and immediately knew I had to have him for my own party the following month. Having him there made the party an absolute success. He did one trick after another non-stop for 45 minutes! He didn't have to stay as long as he did, but he clearly enjoyed performing. He is a true performer and master of his art. He is also a very nice and personable "regular guy" who is able to mix and mingle with a crowd effortlessly. The only magic you will experience at your party by not having Derek Ostovani perform is that your crowd will disappear. read more

We hired Derek for our cocktail hour at our wedding on 7/22/23 and we could not have been happier! He is truly THE BEST! Not only did he absolutely blow our guests minds with his close up magic, but we made sure to have all of our pics done before the ceremony so we could also see Derek perform...and we were not disappointed. I wish I had gotten a photo of our photographer as she was walking around and her mouth completely dropped when she watched him work his way around the tables ;) I can't wait to get our photos back. We had been on the fence whether or not we could make it work, and I'm beyond thrilled that we were able to hire Derek. And I want to thank all the fabulous reviewers on here who helped us make the decision easy because we had not seen Derek perform prior to hiring him so you just never know...but we were confident we had made the right decision just based on his prior reviews. If you want to hire a magician for close up magic at your event, I could not recommend Derek more enthusiastically. It will be one of the BEST DECISIONS you make! He was also incredibly easy to communicate with before the event, and such a wonderfully kind individual. Our wedding would not have been the same without you Derek, and we will all be talking about it for years to come. Thank you so very much for making our wedding day that much more special and memorable. I can't wait to see you perform again someday. And congrats on your new son :) read more

I hired Derek as a surprise thank-you to a couple of very good friends who have been very supportive of our community. I asked Derek to show up on a Sunday to a party where we were watching football playoffs, and pretend to just be a friend who was hanging out. He performed in the house, in the backyard, and even in the street, entertaining people the entire way. That was yesterday afternoon....last night and today I have received numerous texts and messages telling me how incredible Derek was and how they truly appreciated such a cool gift for people that are impossible to buy for.
