I didn't get a warm feeling from her our first appointment but I thought I didn't have a choice because of my Christmas time due date. I had about 4 appointments with Dr. Koehle and one with another Doctor as Dr. Koehle was away. Fast forward to September 1, around 1pm, I had a mucus discharge, I called Millcreek Family Medicine ASAP, the receptionist put me on hold while she spoke to Dr. Koehle about what I was experiencing, the receptionist then asked if I had any amniotic fluid, any clear liquids. I said no... I was told if there is no amniotic fluid there is nothing to worry about. I went on with my day.... 2:30 am September 2nd, I had cramping and went to emergency. I was going into labour at 24 weeks. I spent the next 36 hours upside getting pumped with steroids and magnesium to help my baby survive. I was then flown via air ambulance to Vancouver and delivered my baby girl via emergency C-section at 24.2 weeks. My baby spent the next 105 Days fighting for her life in the BC Women's NICU in Vancouver. All the NICU Mom's talked about how their OB was in touch with them... I hadn't heard from mine, Dr. Koehle. At 105 Days we were transferred to KGH NICU. I noticed all the Mom's were getting visits from their OBs. My baby's due date was coming up and knew Dr. Koehle would be working. I mentioned to our nurse if she sees Dr. Koehle please let her know we are there. The nurse came to me later and said "are you sure that's your Doctor? She doesn't recognize your last name". My heart sank, I felt completely uncared about and can't help but wonder if I had a Doctor that cared about me and my baby maybe we wouldn't have had to go through all this. Dr. Koehle still hasn't reached out to me. It's clear she does not care about me or my baby. I would strongly not recommend Dr. Koehle.
