I was taking pain pills every hour instead of the recommended 4 hours. I believed if my formal approval did not come through soon, I would take matters into my own hands. A friend recommended Dr James Whillans at Lifeworks family Chiropractic office. I was doubtful, but went to see Dr James. On Sept 2 2025 I basically crawled into his office. He took x-rays and scans, then took time to explain the damage he could see, he made no false promises, he said it would take several months of appointments starting at 4 times a week. We started, within a few months, we had more scans and Dr James reviewed them and talked to me about the improvements. I could feel the improvements. The formal approval for the MAiD program arrived. I cancelled it. It was no longer needed. It has been 7 months, I still attend my treatments twice a week. Yes I still have some pain, but I can handle it. I have hope for a future without pain. I now go camping, fishing, hiking, and have returned to work. I used to pray for death, now I give thanks for life. A life that Dr. James gave back to me. She listened to my concerns, explained to me everything she was doing before and while she was doing it. She used a variety of techniques and tools to address both soft tissue (and I guess my bones? the cracking bit?). I left feeling a lot better! The whole atmosphere there was great too. Everyone was super friendly, and seemed to me working as a team. Unfortunately, I am moving to Ontario in a couple weeks. Wish I could take them with me!
