I really like this restaurant for the location and outside seating area close to everything in town. I came with a party of 6 and no reservation and was promptly seated. I ordered the sausage with Kraut/potatoes and my seat partners thought my dish was the best although everything was delish including all the great beer! read more

This place is just incredible. Highly recommend the open air seating and the schweinsaxe/ "pork knuckle" as well as treating yourself to an entire liter of bier. Perfect location next to the Rathaus and the beautiful church. Plenty of umbrellas for shade and people watching. The food is incredible and not to be missed. read more

For beer, this place is great. They have large, 1L beer glasses, which are always a favorite of the beer drinkers in the party! Just about anything named 'Ratskeller', get a thumbs up from my Fav, so we just had to try this place. We started with the pretzel. Our 'vision' was a soft, warm pretzel with mustard. What we got was a cold, hard pretzel, sans mustard. Oh well. Next up was the Kasespatzle, a cheesy, pasta dish covered in fried onion. It was too salty for me to eat and we left most of it behind. Finally, the schnitzel: it was 'meh'. The interior is nice and the beer was good with a variety of sizes. For two beers (one large, one small), a pretzel one pasta dish and one entree, the bill came to €31.20. read more

The Germans are not afraid of the pig, thank goodness! I had the pork knuckles same as the last time I was in Wiesbaden. Truth be told, I ate all the meat, but could finish he potato's. But then again, I don't really need the carbs:-) If you get to Wiesbaden, this is one stop you should make. 4 stars. read more

Nice downtown choice. During the warmer months they have outdoor seating conveniently around the plaza. Food is mostly traditional German fare with some western style additions. The brew offered is a nice Bavarian style. Prices are affordable. The staff is polite and accustomed to serving a diverse crowd. There is plenty of seating in the main restaurant and able to reserve for larger crowds. read more

Loved the outdoor area looking over the square! The hefeweizen was one of my favorites in the area, but I'm not a beer connoisseur. The pretzel breaded schnitzel with a sweet mustard sauce was delicious! Sometimes difficult to get the staff's attention, however they were very helpful once you flagged them down. read more

Located near the Hessisches Landestag, the Königvon Bayern Ratskeller has excellent beer but food with inconsistent quality. Finding Helles and Dunkles outside Bayern can be tricky, so this is a nice treat (both are nice, the Dunkles is a nice malty beer). The beer-and-sweet-mustard-crust schnitzel and Allgauer Kasespätzle are nice, but the Obatza was a bit funny. There's a nice atmosphere and it's usually crowded. I do go back often because of its location and the beer, but find a couple of items on the menu you like and stick with them. read more

This is an awesome little eatery right next to the Wiesbaden Marktkirche (Market Church), which lends itself to the urban European scenery. The menu is not that big and could probably use a few more items, as well as being just a bit pricey but the the real deal is the Andechs beer which they have on tap. Andechs beers are full bodied weizens with a nice sweet after note reminiscent of bannanas it left me wanting more and it makes this place as a great drinking spot to visit before heading out for the nightlife in the area. read more

What a great positive surprise. 4 of us eat there and had lots of the great Andechs beer. The food, we all eat something different was super super good. Pork knuckle top perfect, Schweinsbraten - super perfect!! and so on. Very nice english speaking service. We closed the place down and the bill after 4 rounds of beer and the food was very, very reasonable. I can highly recommend this restaurant!!!! read more
