Check-in was easy and they had all the amenities you'd expect at a hotel (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, sparkling water, TV, coffee maker). The courtyard was beautiful and it was such a delight to have Haciendo right next door to get coffee in the morning and the afternoon. When we were finally able to get checked in, we could relax and unwind. We were pleasantly impressed by how spotlessly clean the room was. Everything looked very new and well maintained. Towels were fresh and fluffy, the bed was nicely firm and the water was hot for showers. We had the opportunity over breakfast to chat with one of the owners. She was pleasant and helpful. We liked her pride of ownership. We would recommend this location for its cleanliness, value and management for anyone staying in the Taylor/Round Rock, Texas area.

I went in expecting a regular Holiday Inn…read moreexperience (which isn't bad but obviously not a 5 star hotel) and this was maybe the best hotel experience I have ever had at 42 years old and a lot of travel experience. Everyone was unbelievably nice. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was much more than we could have expected. The coffee machines were great and they always had out fruit water and apples. So kind to my family and our teammates who filled their lobby for hours each day in between heats of our competition. Honestly, WOW.

I was a little skeptical at first because I normally don't stay in budget motels that have doors…read moreoutside, but this one is actually semi-clean and the area appears safe since I seen other families here. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure you bring your own sheets and towels to be safe because I saw a stain on the linen, so I put it on the floor to avoid germs. Also, the beds are extremely hard to sleep comfy, saw hairs inside the coffee cups, and their smoke detector was broken inside the room. If I had another option, I would've been at the Holiday Inn for more comfort like I normally would, but this weekend was busy due to the stupid Formula 1 racing event here. So lesson learned, get your hotel booked at least a month in advance before a major event comes into Austin, nearly half of Austin was SOLD OUT because of Formula 1 or the budget motel prices were extremely high.

So we got the room, and you know, it was kinda cute, it was clean, and it had a jacuzzi tub (with the shower over it, which wasn't good) I have a bad knee so getting in and out of that tub to take a shower was a hassle, you have no idea! There wash clothes are dingy white....(I'm glad I brought my own) So at this point those were my issues, besides parking. That seems to be a problem at every hotel in that area. If you don't get there by 10 p.m. good luck with finding a parking. But the night before we were going to leave, our T.V's sound went out! We watch TV all night, so that was horrible for us. We tried to get it going, and to no avail! We tried to call the office, no answer! We had to set up our tablet, with the same channel on the few that we could find that was on at the same time. Because were from Vegas, and we were in TX. So the next morning. We were trying to tell them that the sound went out. They kept telling us to go past channel 50 and the sound would come on! The TV didn't even go up to channel 50! Then we asked to speak to the manager, ohhhh the mgr. isn't here right now! They will be here later...Sure! So needless to say we didn't get to speak to a manager.

The floors were so dirty, I left my socks there, wouldn't wash them with my other clothes. I had to clean the toilet seat off before I even dare to squat (still wouldn't sit on it), the tub was filthy. The dresser drawers were full of old food crumbs. I was given 2 towels, no washcloth or face towel. The sheets were filthy, hair and blood and god knows what and when I discovered this at 0130, the owner yelled at me because I asked for clean sheets. I was told this is not a 24 hour place, people sleep at night. I told him I had to clean my own toilet and bathtub, wasn't asking for them to do it even after paying 101 dollars for the night. At 1000 they came CT banging on the door, checkouts 1100, to see if I was staying again. I had maybe 2 hours of sleep. I took plenty of pictures to show this horrible place, I recommend you run from here.
