My boyfriend and I made a last minute appointment with Dr. Troia, me because I was having an issue…read morewith dry, itchy eyes, and my boyfriend because he was out of contacts and had been wearing the same pair for two months. I was definitely impressed by how quickly they got us both in. I called in, they told me they'd take me immediately as soon as I could get there. I walked in with the boyfriend, and wound up talking him in being seen too, and they had absolutely no problem squeezing both of us in. The women at the front desk were lovely and professional. Dr. Troia, however, barely looked at me. He put a light in my eye, never touched my eye lids or inspected them. He said, it's dry eyes and gave me a sample of drops. I immediately put the drops in and when I didn't get relief, I told him. He said to give it time. I don't think he even looked at my "chart," if there even was one. He started to enter my information in the computer and didn't even know my name. I had to correct him twice. He gave me Lotemax, a steroid drop. I went later that week to my regular eye doctor who said I did not have dry eye, but an allergic irritation, and wound up with a slight scrape on my lower lids and mild damage to my cornea. I definitely would not recommend his office to anyone. My boyfriend agrees. His eye exam took like than 5 minutes. Dr. Troia breezed through it, not even letting him take a minute to have his eyes focus before asking, 1 or 2, 2 or 3. My boyfriend didn't have his eyes dilated, didn't do a Intraocular Pressure Test. Dr. Troia had to ask my boyfriend if he had astigmatism. Isn't that something you should be able to see with a routine eye exam, doc? We ordered his contacts and they came in quickly, but only to discover that Dr Troia was in such a hurry to get us in and out, that the prescription is wrong. Why he was in such a hurry, I don't know. We were the only people there. He seemed overly confident, almost arrogant, like he didn't have time for us. Now we have a years supply of contacts that cant be used because the right eye is wrong, my boyfriend's insurance won't cover another routine eye exam or more contact lenses, and I've had two more visits to an eye doctor because Dr. Troia misdiagnosed me with chronic dry eye. Moral of the story: Thanks for getting us in so fast, but it caused more expenses and issues in the long run. Take your time with your patients. If you don't have the time, don't accept last minute appointments. I won't go back again, and I will not recommend him to anyone else.

She explained that she spends her workday looking at a computer, and that her neck would get sore. He prescribed computer glasses designed for such work, and problem solved. He carries a wide range of frames, including those with narrow bridges for people like me. His assistant, Janette, is an expert in helping choose the frames that fit best on your head. Aside from their professionalism, they are the most wonderful people.

I was not told about this in advance of the surgery. Then Dr Zambelli offered glaucoma drops as a potential solution for the halos. Interestingly, I met two other people who had the exact same experience with him. I could not possibly drive at night, even with night vision glasses. Daytime driving is challenging as well when the sun shines. Hugh halos around every light source 24/7.
