John came and did a walkthrough of all the things I wanted done around the house, gave a free estimate where he provided a quote on site, and they have good pricing. I will be using them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

I quickly googled emergency electrician in my area and reached out to Harrison without doing my usual review checks, etc. They quoted $79 for the call and service to be determined once the electrician was here. Ok. Once here, I was quoted over $400 for him to remove the can to look for the problem. I was shocked at the ridiculous price, but also very concerned because I knew my roof needed replacing. So, I went ahead. He removed the can and felt around. The insulation above was dry, the Sheetrock was wet. No further explanation when I asked why that could happen. He looked outside and didn't see any signs of a hole, etc. and said he didn't know. But, if I wanted, he could change out all the cans in the kitchen/dining/living room for a mere $xx,xxx. Ridiculous. Goodbye. Would not recommend to anyone!! Expensive lesson. Always check!!

I had a scheduled appointment with Harrison Electric and was given an 11:00 AM-1:00 PM arrival…read morewindow, despite originally requesting a noon appointment because I had another appointment to attend. I agreed to accommodate their requested window and waited for them to arrive. By 1:00 PM, no one had shown up and I had received no phone call or update. I called to find out what was going on, only to be told that they were still at another job and would be there for at least another 30 minutes before even heading my way. The lack of communication and consideration for my time was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I had rearranged my day to accommodate their schedule, only to be left waiting with no notice that they were running behind. A simple courtesy call letting me know they were delayed would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my time was not respected. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Harrison Electric. This is not the level of professionalism or customer service I would expect from a company I am trusting to work on my home.

He clearly did not realize I had the City Code person out prior and knew exactly what work I needed. Soon after he left, he sent a really rude, nasty email claiming it would take him hours to quote relatively simple jobs, and claimed he could not be bothered to draw up quotes. I responded back, how rude and asked what he found confusing or difficult. He responded with another really mean, nasty, uncalled for email. I am unsure if it is because I'm a woman, or whether he's just no longer fit to be dealing with customers with large jobs. I recommend skip them. Sad, because they had done small projects for me in the past. If you do use them, only for 1 singular project at a time. Nordeast Electric team won my business on price and reputation. Jake and his apprentice methodically and diligently completed the work with minimal cuts to the interior house. I found this to be a differentiator among the several electricians who responded to my RFP and charged a fee for an estimate.

Yet, I told him I chose it from the "shower light" section of choices online at Home Depot. But Eric wanted to be sure, for safety purposes, that the light could tolerate a water setting. It had a symbol on the box which we both believed to indicate that, but he checked with Chris, his boss, to be sure that's what it meant. Chris approved it for installation. I appreciated his focus on safety and the installation did not take very long. I also appreciated that Eric was very personable and explained very clearly how this was a good choice for a shower light because it could be popped down a bit if there was a need to see above the light again, such as for another drain leak from above, as this situation had been. The cost may have been a bit more than if I paid someone else by the hour, but at least this cost by job included a trip fee and if it needed to take longer would not have cost extra.
