It's been a couple of years, but I thought it was worth rating this business now. I never thought…read morethat this particular business would have what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. I was looking for a Tempur-pedic mattress, and I didn't want to pay a million bucks. The system when you go in is that they ask you a bunch of questions and then direct you toward products that may fit your needs. But I was very specific about wanting to look at Tempur-pedic. So we did that and after looking at a couple of options, we chose what we thought was the best model for us. It turned out that we accidentally bought an adjustable mattress instead of a regular mattress in the same line. But, that's OK because if we ever want to change we can. The sales person was very helpful and very friendly. The only part of the sales process that I didn't care for was the way they steered you toward buying a pillow. At the time, there was a promotion for two free pillows with each bed along with two free sets of sheets. So, of course they did steer us toward those pillows. And, I went through the process just to try it. Although the pillow seemed nice at the store, once I got it home, I noticed that it became extremely flat and hard in a short period of time. I ended up buying less expensive pillows elsewhere. Contrarily, my husband still has the same pillow a couple of years later, and refuses to switch. ‍

My furniture was delivered yesterday, and unfortunately, I was unable to be present for the…read moredelivery due to my work commitments. As a result, I missed the opportunity to oversee the entire setup process. The delivery team went ahead and assembled everything as planned, including plugging in the various pieces. However, I've run into a significant issue: my electrical recliner is not functioning at all. This malfunction is particularly frustrating because I was really looking forward to enjoying my new furniture, especially the recliner, which was a major selling point for me. To make matters worse, I've been informed that I will have to wait a full two weeks before a technician can come to examine the chair and determine what's wrong with it. I sincerely hope that the issue can be resolved quickly and that I will soon be able to enjoy the comfort of my recliner as intended. Reflecting on this experience, I've come to realize a valuable lesson: not every deal that seems too good to be true actually is. In this case, I feel like I've learned a costly lesson worth around $4,000. I had high hopes for my new furniture, and now I find myself dealing with unexpected complications. It's a reminder to be cautious and do thorough research before making significant purchases. I just hope that in the end, the wait will be worth it, and I will soon be able to relax in my new recliner.

After…read morehaving a HORRIBLE mattress shopping/buying experience in the Quad Cities, I decided to shop around at smaller neighboring towns, in the hopes that I could find not only better pricing, but that small-town feeling where the sales folks actually took an interest & cared about me, as well as keeping me as a customer. I am so glad that I did! Before driving the 45+ minutes one-way, I called Factory Direct Mattress in Clinton, IA, and spoke with Domingo. After listening to my past experiences, what I was looking for, and my overall general requirements, he requested that I come to his store & "try on" some mattresses so he could see how each of the mattresses he offered reacted to my body type, shape, and weight. Domingo really knew his stuff...not just about mattresses, but also about food, health, & fitness, and he honestly could be a life coach in general! Within 15 minutes of meeting him, I felt like we had known each other our entire lives! Not only did I walk out of Factory Direct Mattress with a great new king-size mattress, box springs, bed frame, and mattress cover for a great price, but also with the peace of mind that Domingo actually takes care of his customers, and wants to retain his customers for life! In a world where customer service is robotic, automated, or non-existent, it is very refreshing to know that there is at least ONE business today in which honesty, integrity, and a genuine care for the customer still exists! Thank you Domingo! My wife and I will definitely be repeat customers at Factory Direct Mattress in Clinton, Iowa!
